The Scoop
By now you’re probably aware that the Alex Troutt thrillers, Ivy Nash thrillers, and the Ozzie Novak thrillers are all under the same Redemption Thriller Series umbrella. Why? Because, ultimately, they all connect — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. How? That’s part of the mystery that I’m slowly unveiling throughout the Redemption Thriller Series.
Through each sub-series, characters from different books appear in the other novels. If it adds suspense, intrigue, or even a good laugh, I’ve included a cross-over character — it’s a lot more fun that way. Plus — and here’s the real kicker — the final six novels will bring all of the major characters together — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. It will be explosive and gut-wrenching…in a way that will leave you breathless.more

BOOK! Simply said…it is …a MUST READ! Trust that and enjoy!!
nothing
Kept me interested and involved to the very end. Truly enjoyable read!
I read this because of good reviews on Amazon. I kept reading, hoping that the book would start to generate more excitement, but just before halfway thru I gave up and decided not to finish it. I usually enjoy books in this genre, but there was nothing about this- not the story, the writing style, the characters, nor the dialogue that grabbed me.
This is an interesting story about a PI who gets called in to work on a case of murder. He normally would not take on a case like this, but is doing it for a friend. He begins to uncover a deeper issue of corruption and needs to determine if this is why the woman was murdered – until someone starts coming after him and his family. Since this was not the first book in the series, I was confused about some of the dynamics of the characters and his loss of hearing. It made me interested in reading the rest of the series though.
Did not hold my interest enough to finish it
It was okay but was easy to put down and not pick back up until I had nothing else to do.
The characters are normal flawed people, yet they’re more good than bad by a large margin. I found myself fascinated by this complex multi-relationship entanglement of greed, sex, and need for power and control, pitted against the main character, who struggles with his own relationships and sense of what is right and wrong. I truly enjoyed it and was surprised by some final twists .
I am not quite finished with this book, but I highly recommend it. it is very entertaining and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Wow, what a fast paced thriller. A lawyer turned PI, Ozzie is hired to help a not so nice lobbyist prove that he’s not guilty of killing a woman he’d just been with. Is he being setup and who is behind it. There are twists, deception and more murders. Its a story of big money and people who will do anything to keep their secrets. This story held my interest the whole way through. It is very well written.
If you like your thrillers with twists, turns and lots of action, then this series is one you must read. Ozzie is almost undone in this murder mystery just because of his profession. I loved seeing Alex Troutt show up in this story. It’s always nice to see an old friend again. You really will enjoy this book. I highly recommend it and know you will enjoy it.
He’s done it again! John Mefford never ceases to amaze. “ON Fire” is the 5th book in the Ozzie Novak series and the 17th in the Redemption Series. However it is outstanding as a stand-alone novel so even if you haven’t read the other 16 (Shame ON You) you will want to after reading this. It has an intriguing plot with lots of twists and turns and a surprise ending and characters you will fall in love with and want to visit again.
When Pamela Connor is found dead in a hotel room and the suspect turns out to be a prominent lobbyist- Franklin, Ozzie finds himself on the case to prove Franklin’s innocence despite damning evidence showing otherwise.
Now I had an hunch as to who the actual suspect was from the beginning and Mefford really sucked me in with this story throwing in a few curve balls, explosions and gun fights to throw me off, and as we ride along with Ozzie piecing everything together we learn there is something far bigger going on connecting events from the first book to people in this one, and once again his life and his families are on the line.
That being said you do not need to have read the previous book in the series (though you would be mad not to!) as Mefford does a great job or providing enough of a back explanation,, this book built up slowly to an explosive ending that I can’t wait to read what is store for Ozzie next.
