Logan ‘Mack’ Reed loves women. Really loves women. He’s an equal opportunity player, happy to oblige just about anyone looking for a good time, but when a beautiful red-headed pixie walks into his club, he finds himself unable to think of anyone but her.
Darien Aherne and her sister have lost both of their parents, but create a comfortable life for themselves. Darien, however, is sheltered and … sheltered and overly curious, which is a dangerous combination. When Darien breaks away from the protective bubble her sister has created, she finds herself falling for a man who could break her.
When the chance of a lifetime pulls Darien into a provocative world she has no experience in, will she trust Mack enough to tell him all of her secrets?
Will he be able to protect her, even from herself?

Another great tail by Piper Davenport. I stumbled upon the Dogs of Fire series and have been hooked. This story is about a biker belonging to the Dogs of Fire, a biker club made of dedicated men who are family and uber protective. Note: this biker club has legal businesses (mostly). Mac is a lawyer and a lady’s man until he meets his one. A romance, a standalone, unexpected events and threats. Beloved characters are found throughout this series so I encourage reading the series. Bravo!!
Loved it Piper Davenport books are great
Mack loves all women without discrimination, but that all changes the first time he sets eyes on Darien. When club business puts their lives on the line will Mack be able to keep Darien safe or will he have to let her go for her own good? As with all of the Dogs of Fire books there is some intrigue and suspenseful danger. I just love these books, so I recommend this and the entire series.
Oh, I am loving this series! Mack has been (up to this point) a man-whore. He loves the ladies, but hasn’t committed to any woman yet. Darien caught Mack a bit off guard, I think. They are about as opposite as they can be, but maybe that’s why they click together so well. And the nicknames they come up with for each other, had me rolling. Pid and butthead, aren’t your typical endearments, but then both are anagrams. So if you want to know what each letter stands for, you’ll just have to read it yourself.
Piper Davenport certainly has a winner with this one, but then I’m late to the party, so many already know this. I can’t wait to dive into the next one in this series!
YAY!!!!!! Logan “Mack” Reed has his own book. Mack has been an active member of Dogs of Fire, standing my his brothers. Mack a man-whore with super soft side. Mack is not only an attorney, but he helps run Blush, the club owned by Dogs of Fire. It is his role at Blush that will be his downfall.
Darien Aherne tried getting into blush but was turned away (she looks too innocent for the meat market of Blush). Tricked into allowing Darien in to the club as a VP does not make Mack happy. That is until he sees her. Mack discovers her name. Mack is a goner.
Mack has met his match in Darien. She is such a cutie. She is Hilarious. She has no filter. She is nothing Mack has ever experienced before. She blows the stereotype of “Old Lady” into little pieces. Her little secret is such a contradiction to her real life. In fact, Road to Passion is worth the read for Darien alone. But there is so much more.
The Dogs of Fire never seem to catch a break. If it isn’t one thing it is another. This time it is a direct offense against the club. The Mack and the Dogs are left speechless when they discover who is involved. Through it all, Mack’s main concern is Darien. Look at men the bar has been raised. I want you to be like Mack.
Another great story! It is nice to have a MC story with out the 1% element.Mack and Darien have such a cute romance. Piper delivers another great MC story!!
