A well researched and written book
I loved this book just what I thought it would be with a twist at the end.
This was a GREAT book! Someone probably made a movie with it, but it’s a great read. You might not think that covering the action inside the Lincoln airport for a few days would be fascinating, but every page is a new disaster! Fascinating and compelling characters, good plot and story line. Well written. As usual, he did a great deal of research …
Slow start but after you read about 4 or 5 chapters you keep wanting to find out what will happen. Lots of characters to keep track of, but just keep on going. Insightful. Teaches you how hard airline employees and airport workers wor to keep everything running safe and sound.
Nicely written weekend read:
If you’re stuck at home during this summer pandemic season and looking for a virtual trip to another climate and time period, consider spending some quality time with the characters of Airport. The sixties were a revolutionary period in a number of ways, including the way we traveled. You remember it from The lyrics …
Exceptional! I could not put this book down. Characters are relatable and make you feel emotions for them. Wonderful story, this book will have you staying up much too late
air travel has changed over the past 45 years however this novel is suspenseful even reading it in the 21st century. Great plot that kept me hooked.
The view of women is dated but the story holds together well. Great suspense and character studies.
The second read was just as good as the first!

Will always read anything by him. His research in his subject matter is exempelary. 100 stars.
Like all of Hailey’s books it was great. Especially if you are a frequent flyer.
This is a classic. Read it years ago and still enjoyed it even though it is dated.
This is a classic “must read” for anyone in the aviation industry. It is a well researched and realistic portrayal of airline and airport operations from an insider’s perspective. I highly recommend it to both aviation enthusiasts and the traveling public.
Arthur Hailey did this style well.
Hailey is the quintessential author if you want to both be entertained and also informed as you read. All his novels unpack an industry as the story unfolds, and “Airport” takes you right into the airline industry. The only problem is that this book (also a pretty good film) happen in the late 1960s, so aviation is much, much different with …
