Heidi has the perfect life for a single mom, until hot men screw It up! First, Alex wants more, and then Nick comes along and steals her heart. I love Heidi’s inner dialogue, and her snark.
Both Heidi and Nick have a lot going on from past relationship that lead them to be distrusting of relationships. The chemistry between them is sizzling and the twist that was thrown in keep me intrigued as to where it was going to end up.
Thrown in the hot kickboxing instructor and the senator Mr Sex on Legs this is an amazing read with a cliff hanger that I didn’t see coming and leaving a lot of unanswered question making me jump in and read the follow up straight away.
Heidi is an independent business woman, who keeps most men at a distance. She run’s a consulting business called A Woman’s Touch with her best friends which has been extremely successful.
Heidi does have a casual hook up with her kick boxing instructor and when Alex, starts to realize that he wants more from Heidi and Heidi decides that she can’t give him that, Alex walks out the door without looking back.
Everything is going great in Heidi’s life until she gets an eviction notice for her store front, after trying to contact the Lawyer who sent the letter, Heidi contacts her local senator – Mr Sex on Legs – Nick. Nick says that he will do everything he can to help save her business. The chemistry between Heidi and Nick is instant with sparks flying.
Still working on the eviction case for Heidi he asks her in for a meeting with the attorney that is working for the client who is also Nick’s best friend Nate, when Heidi realizes who Nate is she can’t believe her eyes. Things are going well for Heidi and Nick until Nick walks in on Heidi and Alex and tells her to leave, without giving any one time for an explanation.
Afterwards Alex is there to help pick up the broken pieces and that Nick will change his mind for Heidi’s sake, but he also thinks she deserves a man who knows what she’s worth and hoping it will be him.
I really enjoyed A woman’s touch by Delaney Foster. There was enough heat, humour and sweetness to balance it all out. I loved Heidi and her little boy and Nick was pure hotness! Book 2 will definitely be read by me!
Wow, this story has different aspects going on. We have the strong independent woman who has started a business from scratch and is starting to do really well, then we have her son. Health issues mean contestant worry and tests, all cost money. Then there’s the sexual side of things, she isn’t looking for a relationship just no ties sex, she’s done the other once and it didn’t work for her. Well that’s the basis of it, but it gets complicated on all sides to give us a read that is emotional, pulls at the heart and holds the reader throughout. This is a two part book so you do get left tottering on the cliff at the end but I dived straight into part two so not a problem. It picks up right where the first ends, so no gap. Worth it? Yes I would definitely say it is. Fabulous reading from Delaney Foster, an author I found through a friend and have now read several of her books, enjoying every one of them.
This is a great read. It has everything I look for in a good book. The Chemistry is sizzling hot. You get all the feels. I can’t get enough of Delaney’s books. I can’t wait to start on book two of this series.
I loved this book! I’ve read a few by this author already, and have enjoyed her work, this one being no exception.
A lot of Heidi’s feelings and thought processes were relatable for me. The tension between her and Nick was palpable, and I loved the slow build-up, and anticipation.
This book does end on a cliffhanger and all I could think was ‘seriously’?! I’m so ready to dive into the next book, and see what happens. I certainly recommend this book.
OHHHHH what a wonderful story and I’ll start right off the bat by saying this is part of a duet and trust me when you’ve finished A Woman’s Touch you will be itching for part two, A Man’s World to find out what’s going to happen. A Woman’s Touch is a very well balanced slow-burn book that will have you smiling and warm your heart and maybe even cause you to gasp a time or two.
Heidi has been hurt in the past and that hurt has helped to shape her strong independent character. She is a single mom to a sickly son and also owns her own business. But that business is located in a building that someone wants to buy and force her out of. It’s while trying to save her business she meets Nick, a US Senator who is sexy, self assured and used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to the ladies. The connection between Nick and Heidi is all but instantaneous but a relationship is not what either of them need or want. Nick doesn’t do long term and Heidi is happy with just her occasional hookup with her kickboxing instructor Alex. But the pull towards each other gets stronger each time they meet. But what happens she Heidi finds out Nick and Alex are best friends? Does she tell all? Does she choose one over another? I ain’t tellen’ LOL
This is a very well written book with twists, turns, like, lust and a wonderful slow burn. I can’t recommend it enough and I look forward to reading part two, asap. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars for an amazing start to this duet.
