The first time I saw her, I stopped dead in my tracks. From her long blonde hair to her piercing gaze that can see straight through to my soul, she slayed me. My sweet, innocent Hannah. When I’m with her, I feel unstoppable. She’s my angel. I have to have her and I always get what I want. Even if it means putting my budding NHL career on the line. My addiction to her might ruin my chances to make … make the roster of the Rochester Riot.
I was passed over by an ignorant scout during my senior year of college but my skills are still inspiring. Almost as impressive as my chiseled body and ahem…other huge assets. I can stop any breakaway, keep the crease crystal clear and force the enemy’s attacking forwards to scream for their mama. I’ll master this open tryout to bring my pro hockey dream to fruition or die trying.
But my desire for Hannah puts my Cinderella second chance on the line. That and him. A criminal, raging alcoholic piece of sh*t. One I’m not proud of and never thought I’d see again once they locked him in the pen and threw away the key. I’m a front office executive and NHL wannabe – she’s the sister of my dreaded ex. On paper we don’t fit. But there’s one place where we fit. Like a glove.
Nothing is more important that my ultimate goal of becoming a professional athlete so I know I shouldn’t get involved with her. It’s too perilous. I can’t fall…risk losing my heart. But for the first time, I woman sees me. The real me. Not some high-class suit pumping and dumping women so fast they’re swirling around my body like a schizophrenic tornado. And I sure as hell want her. Her tempting curves beg me to take it all.
So I’ve been hiding something from her. The truth about my past. I have a secret that threatens to destroy our future. And so the confident executive turned rookie is actually afraid. Because if my family drama sees the light of day, it’s over.
Done.

This is a good story and good addition to the “Rochester Riot” series. This is Hannah and Ryker’s story. It’s an interesting read with good characters. Ryker came off as a big time jerk but seemed to redeem himself with how sweet he could be with Hannah. I loved Hannah and really did feel what she was dealing with. Overall, this is a really good hockey romance.

Wow, what a great Sweet story. I just loved Hannah in this story. This is one of my favorite book in the Rochester Riot series.
I enjoyed reading about the intense feelings in this relationship. The trials, the emotional drama, the secret past the fear of ots reveal and the passion. The chemistry between the H and h is undeniable but id ot enough for her to forgive his lies. The misunderstandings lead to a bit of wasted time. Connecting with the characters may come easy in this story, following the plot might not be

Good addition to the series. Hannah didn’t make it into grad school so she moved to Rochester to help her pregnant sister, Eloise. Ryder works for the front office of the Rochester Riots but his dream was always to be a hockey player. With a special tryout/promotion, he tried out and became a player. When Hannah and Ryder met at the fund raiser, there was a strong attraction. Will his past destroy them? Love it.

The Point (Rochester Riot Book Three) by Colleen Charles. I enjoyed the author’s storytelling and attention to detail it kept me vested in characters and outcome of their love journey. Hannah is the youngest sister, feeling left out lately. Her older sisters are finished with school and married, while she didn’t get into grad school. She heads for Minneapolis to help her oldest sister, who’s about to give birth. Ryder has been working in the office for the Riot, but now he has a second chance at his dream career on the ice. I loved reading this book. Hannah’s parents and one sister (Eloise) treat her almost like a child, and her parents act like if she doesn’t get her master’s degree, her only option is to find a good husband to provide for her. Ryder is a player when we first meet him, but he soon realizes that he wants more with Hannah, and he’s going to have to work hard to get it. It takes them a while to get their act together, but when they finally do, it’s wonderful!

This as an entertaining story. Hannah is a sweetheart, and I had my doubts about Ryder in the beginning but he seems to really adore Hannah. They have great chemistry together and sparks fly. However, there is a lot issues they need to resolve before finding their HEA.

The writing was well done on both the characters and the story line. I, personally, had a hard time connecting to these characters.

I liked this book. It offered a entertaining combination of emotion, turmoil, drama, tension and romance. I liked Hannah and Ryder grew on me. Sure he starts out as a jerk but he does some evolving and I did like his dogged persistence. The story was engaging and held my interest well. I am posting an unbiased, volitional review.
Man I really wanted to like Ryder, but he left such a bad impression on me in the first book that it was difficult to see him with Hannah. With that being said, I liked the plot and the idea of Hannah breaking free of the “homestead” after a rejection and Ryder getting a second chance at his dream. Hannah was definitely an innocent and naive character throughout almost the entire book. I would have liked to see more of her transformation into maturity as it seemed a little glossed over. Ryder doesn’t change until the epilogue which made me happy that Hannah was happy, but still did not endear me to Ryder. Overall, this was not my favorite book of the series, but was worth the read!
