I voluntarily reviewed this book from an arc copy.
What a fabulous story and told in a way that always kept us 7 but when ou think ou know what’s happening it changes yet again. Lucas and Emma have this intense chemistry, so hot and sexual that you feel as if it’s you. It was so good, you have mystery, mob, and murder. Not all in that order either. I can’t wait to see what the next book offers. Excellent read. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.

Frustrated that he never knew his friend had a daughter and now he wants him to babysit her. That is until he sees her and is shocked by how he is drawn to her and their instant connection.

She is a simple woman who grew up with a single mother and grandmother so she isn’t comfortable with all these luxuries and wants to walk away until Chase convinces her to give it time to sink in and the shock to wear off. Her father is delayed by business so Chase is making sure she has everything she wants and needs. They are growing closer as time passes then her life is threatened by an unknown man. Will she have to give up her dream, her budding relationship to go into hiding? There is mystery, suspense, danger, budding romance and so much more in this 2nd book in the Arcadia series.
Five
Possess is a sweetly sexy addition to the Arcadia series. If you’ve read Christmas Possess, then you’ll want to read this, as it features the same couple – Chase and Marisol.
Marisol has come to New York to start her understudy role in her first Broadway play. Her newly discovered father, Yuri, has arranged for an associate of his, Chase, to meet her at the airport, to show her around New York and get settled in. He’s expecting, for some reason, a waif thin ballerina, but he’s happily shocked to realize she’s the antithesis to that. No, she’s a beautiful, vibrant woman with a warm smile and a gorgeous laugh. You could say it was a bit of insta love, but nothing too OTT or dramatic, just sweet and a little sexy. Chase and Marisol fall into a fast paced relationship, but it’s all very organic and romantic with nothing too crazy going on. There is a bit of suspense with the backdrop of someone lightly harassing her, someone who may or may not be associated with her father. I would have preferred actually, if this suspense part were a bigger part of the story, but I do appreciate that the romance was more important. Still, the way Chase and Marisol’s relationship plays out is entertaining and sweet. I wish there had been an epilogue, but I think that Christmas Possess is probably Josie’s way of giving us a peek into their future. I’d love another story about them, though.
A super sexy and smart alpha billionaire falls instantly for a dancer, a recently discovered daughter of his client. The chemistry between them is immediate. The male character has much to love about him. The story is fairly fast paced with lots of heat, romance, and an unexpected danger that doesn’t stop it from being a happily ever after. Perhaps readers might hope for a slightly more extended ending, but a very enjoyable read.
You can’t go wrong with anything written by Josie Litton! Josie continues to deliver a wonderful love story that embraces you from page one. All of her characters possess (no pun intended) the chemistry you’ve come to expect from all of her stories which are well delivered, well developed and leave you anticipating her next masterpiece in the genre! Sweet, sexy, romantic, just the right amount of drama; you won’t be sorry! BTW, important to know, you can pick up any of Josie’s books and start reading without feeling like anything is missing! Another winner here without a doubt!
I met Marisol and Chase in Christmas Possess which was released in December prior to this book’s publication. I immediately feel in love with Chase and his sweet charismatic ways. In Possess we get a chance to see how this couple met, the struggles they faced and how they fell in love.
Marisol is starting her professional career on Broadway. Having earned a spot in an upcoming show she moves from LA to New York where she will live in an apartment provided by the father she met only months ago. In his absence, he sends Chase to meet her at the airport and help to get her settled. Her attraction to him is instantaneous but she knows that with all that is on her plate she has no time for Prince Charming.
Chase is expecting a waif thin ballet dancer but what he finds a trimmed and well-built beauty whose presence immediately causes the sun to shine. He begins to plan how he can spend more time with her and once that it accomplished, how he can keep her in his life for good.
Unfortunately, trouble arises when someone follows her home. With the help of her father and Chase they attempt to discover who exactly is targeting her. However, she has held back a bit of information she thought was unimportant and now their whole world has tilted on its axis.
I really enjoyed Chase and Marisol, together and independently. Their relationship is certainly insta-everything but I was okay with that because it wasn’t too over the top. The care and time Chase took to allow Marisol to get to know and trust him endeared him to me even more than his easy lay back manner. The chemistry between them sparked immediately and built each time they interacted.
This book is low angst without any relationship drama but plenty of outside threat. However, I was disappointed that the threat was taken care of off page and the ending felt rushed and too neat and tidy. I was certain there was going to be a big showdown and I was gearing up for it when suddenly the story was over. Even so, this was a fast paced book that is perfect if you’re looking for something sweet and sexy with just a tad of drama.
This is an advanced reader copy provided by the author and of which I have chosen to review.
