There is one prophecy, born of blood, fire, and stardust.
And three sisters destined to fulfill it.
But first, each must learn that the others exist. And that they’re witches.
Upon meeting, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Only the threat of otherworldly beings arriving on Earth unites them.
That and their strange, uncommonly loud, persistent, estrogen-filled family.
When one sister … loud, persistent, estrogen-filled family.
When one sister suffers an attack on those she loves, the others come together to help.
And find that the danger is closer, and stronger, than they ever could have imagined.
Perfect for fans of the Charmed sisterhood and A Discovery of Witches.

“Prophecy of Three” is the first instalment in “The Starseed Trilogy” by Ashley McLeo, a delightful YA paranormal urban fantasy story that evolves around three sisters, who happened to be witches, and descendants of a powerful Irish lineage.
However, before the three sisters begin their journey together as a powerful triad they first need to come together, this first book tells the story of how Lily Whiplark learns of her true roots as a McKay witch on her 21st birthday, which bring her to Ireland to meet her birth family and the two remaining members of the triplet. Lily’s journey into magic has just begun, and she embraces it full-heartly, applying herself into acquiring the magical knowledge that is paramount to fight and hold at bay the magic that threaten to destroy her world.
Ashley McLeo plot is fast-paced and action-packed, and still giving the story enough place to breath, and construct a solid, detailed, and accurate background story, that successfully weaves historical facts with mythology and overall fantasy lore into a very satisfying introduction to the series, that while borrowing some of the known ‘Charmed’ lore, is not mere version of it, on the contrary it evolves into a fully original multilayered story that is not only informative and interesting, but first and foremost entertaining as any good fantasy story should be.
I received this book from the author, and I thank her for starting me on this series! It starts off with quite a thrill as we experience a burning library and the reasons it burns. The rest of the tale is told by Lily as she begins her journey as an adult. Her life is turned upside down, and she does a pretty good handling the shocking changes. The characters in this book are definitely all strong women, and it is well written and easy to read with a storyline that keeps you intrigued. I will definitely continue along this journey with the other books in the series.
This book was suggested to me & I’m so glad it was
Lily has just graduated College. She loves to run cross country & it helped her gain her scholarships to pay for her education!! She was adopted & brought up on a commune that was secluded but full of love, nature & nurturing!!
When she returns home for summer solstice & her 21st birthday a women is there that her mum seems to know. She informs Lily that her birth family have been found & she has a plane ticket to take her to Ireland to meet them in 2days!!
Upon landing she not only meets her Mum & Aunt’s she also discovers she’s a witch.
What follows are massive revelations, shocks galore, excitement, fear, self recrimination, hopelessness, jealousy, shame & heartbreak!!!
Lily, Evelyn & Sara are fated. They need to learn their craft fast & well as what’s coming will destroy mankind & they’re all that can stop it!!!
This book’s story flows really well, it’s really well written. It hooks you in & sweeps you along with the vastness of what they face whilst not overwhelming you, as it focuses so well on the inhabitants of Fern Cottage.
A very worthy 1Click

They may have been born together, but they grew up apart and it is going to take some extraordinary circumstances to bring them back together again.
This is book one of the series, so a good place to start.
This is an urban fantasy story with three witches as our central characters. The story is well written although perhaps a little uneven in pacing. I think of that as first book syndrome in that there is a lot of background to present and it sometimes overcomes the plot in the short term. In spite of that, I found the story to be engaging and enjoyable and it certainly set the stage for more excitement to come. Overall, I enjoyed this introduction to the world and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
Highly recommended

It is 2016 and Lily has just graduated from Bryn Mawr and dumped her boyfriend, Liam. She can not wait to get to Terramar, the commune she grew up on with several women. On her 21sr birthday, Lily finds out that her birth parents want to meet her so it is off to Ireland she goes where she finds out that the two young women she flew with are her sisters and that they are triplets. The adventures the three go through in Ireland make them stronger in order to deal with the prophecy they are set to fulfill. This story ends in a cliffhanger. Highly recommended.
Follows three witches who do not know about each other, but are part of an ancient prophecy. One by one they find out who and what they are. The characters are intriguing and have strength. The storyline gives a lot of detail at first and then starts to grow. Surprises and twists supply the suspense needed to keep you on the edge of your seat. Looking forward to the continuation of this series.

Interesting ideas; lots of cool witch talk, it does slow the story down at times, but I mostly enjoyed it. Enjoy the magical elements to the story, and I’m interested to see where this series is going to go. This book was mostly a setup book; the characters are just learning about themselves and their powers, so I’m hoping for more action and danger. 3 girls find out that they are triplet sisters that were separated at birth and they are witches, and there’s a good ole prophecy the witches have to contend with. I like that each of the girls has a different main power, and there’s some cool ideas in regards to the foe in this story. I didn’t really connect with the characters, but I liked them; maybe not so much Evelyn. Evelyn’s the prickly one; she’s from a rich, powerful family, so she comes across as elitist. Lily is the main POV we get; which out of the sisters, I like her the best, so I’m good with her being mostly the main character. She’s had an interesting upbringing; she grew up on a commune. She’s a bit naive, but she stands up for herself. Sara is the third sister, she’s probably the most chill one of the group. Overall, a good story that I hope turns into a great series.
This is the beginning of a series that has 3 sisters meet each other for the first time. Of course things do not go smoothly and they discover they are in for a surprise. Once they discover they are witches things get interesting. Slowly we get to know each of the girls and their personalities and what they will bring to their fun adventure.. I was entertained and amused so a good story.
This is a cool urban fantasy.. I enjoyed it.. It is interesting and fun to read, with some great characters!

This book is as intriguing as it is entertaining! The main character starts out living in the unique environment of a commune and moves to the Irish countryside to find her birth mother. Then discovers that she’s a witch with an ancient prophecy connected to her. There’s more she discovers along the way, including new sisters she never knew about and a ton of action-packed tension. A great read!
Great series! I would recommend every one of the books. I loved each character and felt like each one was my favorite as I was reading the books.
Where do I begin?!
I discovered this book through a random social media encounter – it was a Twitter discussion about self-published/indie authors – where I met the author. Do yourself a favor – read this book!
I’m going to try to keep this brief because I could go on about this book for awhile. Let’s start with something “technical” – the Bechdel Test. For those who don’t know, the Bechdel Test came about as a result of a 1985 comic strip created by Alison Bechdel. Originally intended as a way to “rate” movies, the Bechdel test has three basic goals – (1) There must be at least two female characters, (2) Both female characters must have names, and (3) They must have a conversation that is about something OTHER than a man. This book EXPLODES those three criteria. The book focuses on three women who don’t know they are sisters (triplets, to be exact) and their mother and her two sisters. Along with these six characters, there are other women who play significant roles in the story as well. In the course of the story, you learn their names and their personal histories. Their conversations involve the family history, the reasons that the triplets were sent to live with adoptive families (with their magic bound since they were born witches), learning to use their now un-bound powers, and the fact that these three just might be a set of sisters spoken of in a prophecy millennia before.
The characters can be strong or vulnerable, confident or frustrated, focused or confused. In other words, they are real and relatable. None of them is perfect or completely flawed but you are rooting for them every step of the way. You cheer as they become more able to control their various powers, you are genuinely worried for them when a loved one is in serious dangers . . . and when Lily has to make a heart-wrenching decision regarding someone who helped to raise her? I literally held my breath!
If you like believable, strong, multi-dimensional female characters and a well-written plot, read this book! Warning – there is a mountain of a cliffhanger at the end!
An ancient prophecy and three young women just learning of their powers. This was a well written book and the characters are relatable. IThe author is very good at painting a picture with words. The story line keeps you turning pages. I am looking forward to books 2 and 3 in this series.
This is the first Ashley’s book I have read, to be honest it was hard for me to really get hooked with the book, almost half the story is really slow for me, I think the insight is necessary to understand the origin and ancestors of our girls, but then it gets really good. The details in the story and caracther descriptions and feelings is really good… The supernatural beings involved are amazing, starting with our triplets, their mother, aunts and foster family, are really powerful, the magic involved is out of this world… I’m confident the next books will be awesome!!!
Lily Whiplark has been away at college and she has just broken up with her boyfriend Liam, now she is on her way home and his looking forward to enjoying her vacation and celebrating her birthday with her family. Yea it’s her birthday, it’s her birthday, her twenty-first birthday.
But before all the festivals have a chance to begin Lily is given the news that her biological parents want to meet her. She is then thrust with a plane ticket to Ireland. Lily has always known that she was adopted but she never thought that she was from a whole ocean away in Ireland.
In Ireland, she meets her birth family and is thrown so much information that she almost goes into information overload. Lily learns that she is one of three sisters, triplets and that she is a witch. She also learns that she is descended from aliens who came to earth to enslave humans. Lily soon learns that she and her sisters are destined to fight the aliens and save the humans.
When I read the summary for Prophecy of Three I knew I had to read it and once I picked it up I didn’t want to lay it down. It grabbed me from the first page and wouldn’t let go until the end and even then it is still hanging on. I just wished it that I had started way before I did. There was action right from the first page. I loved seeing and witnessing the world through Lily’s eyes that was so amazing.
Ashley pulled me in so that I felt as if I was sitting there right beside Lily seeing and feeling everything she did. It was like a movie being played out in my head with the witches and the vampires and the story in the end just blew me away with even reading the summary for some reason that is not what I was expecting at all. I loved it. I can’t wait to read more from this world of The Starseed Trilogy.
I would love to recommend Prophecy of Three to anyone who loves reading about witches, vampires, magic and lots of twist and turns that will blow you away.
What an amazing story. Lilly discovers alot about magic and what role her and her family has in the future. A great read
“It begins with a burning library, a lost scroll, and an enchanted prophecy.”
McLeo’s debut novel, The Prophecy of Three, the first in the Starseed Trilogy, starts off with a fast-paced introduction into the world of magic, enticing the reader with a dark secret hidden in an ancient time. Forward to the present, the reader is introduced to the protagonist, Lily, a young woman raised in an unconventional environment, a circumstance that adds both depth to her character’s growth throughout the novel and highlights her naivety about the hidden truths that surround her.
The characters in the novel are well-developed, unique, and interesting and the story is captivating, more so as the book develops backstories, provides information about the past, and explains the magical elements contained within the real world. The deliberate build of tension adds to the overall storyline and creates an emotional trigger of varying degrees for the reader as dangers, magical connections, and otherworldly characters are revealed.
McLeo delves into Irish myth and superstitions to create a real world where magic exists all the while cultivating an interesting and genuine storyline full of meaningful dialogue and informative exposition. Old-world beliefs and factual history combine to create an atmosphere that keeps the reader engaged and curious.
The Prophecy of Three is a great start to the “witchy” trilogy with similarities to Melissa de le Cruz’s The Witches of East End and Deborah Harkness’ The History of Witches. Those interested in urban fantasy fiction with a touch of history, myth, and magic will find this book compelling.
