The writing duo that is Kindle Alexander has once again brought us a story that touches the heart and soul. Thane and Levi are a dynamic couple. Each headstrong and set in their ways. Until they meet each and slowly start to realize that perhaps the ways they’ve been living aren’t enough anymore.
Thane’s upbringing has caused him to only have arrangements with men. That eliminates any chance of feelings getting hurt, of expectations or assumptions. Seeing what his parents went through has make it crystal clear to him that love should never be in the equation. After all, it’s just messy and ugly and no one comes out a winner.
Levi Silva is integrity to the Nth degree. Leaving medical school to come home and take care of his brothers after their father’s passing, he doesn’t have time for relationships. At this point he doesn’t even have time for a casual hookup. But once he sets eyes on Thane Walker, and the immediate attraction is too hard to ignore, the walls he’s built around himself start coming down little by little.
But how do the man who only pays for sex, and the man who won’t jeopardize his integrity find a common ground?
Kindle always does an amazing job of balancing the sexy with the sweet, and the serious of each story. This time around, Levi is dealing with the aftermath of his father’s passing. His mother left them right after his youngest brother was born, and now he’s put medical school on hold to try and keep his brother’s going, get them through school and point them towards a solid future. Meeting Thane was like a ray of light in an otherwise constantly dark sky, but he knows that Thane only does paid relationships, and he’s not ever going to be a kept man.
Watching the progression of their relationship was both fun but a little heartbreaking at the same time. Thane really bungled things up in the beginning, and I felt so badly for Levi who is trying his hardest to be a good man, provide for his brothers and keep his family together. The things that Thane tried to offer him would make so many things so much easier, but to him that is like selling his soul and that’s something he will never do, no matter what.
I loved seeing so many of the fellas we met and fell in love with in the previous books, and I can’t wait to see what Kindle has in store for Julian in the future. Another amazing story, it filled my heart and made me smile so big!
Read this on KU, then went straight to Amazon and bought the paperback and every other book Alexander has on Kindle. This is an incredibly hot yet sweet insta-love story. Thane, the playboy who has sworn off relationships after his parent’s divorce when he was young, thinks he can buy time with Levi. Levi, however, is raising his two brothers under the ever present eyes of the child welfare agency and wants nothing to do with being a “bought” man. Both men have to learn to bend and survive some big surprises to be together. I literally could not put it down and read it in one sitting. If you love Lynn Van Dorn’s Be My Mistake, which I adore, grab this. It has the same vibes.
OMG where do I start with Thane and Levi?!?! The last couple of books in MM genres haven’t been all good choices but when give the chance to read Kindle Alexander I jumped on it. I have a friend who’s a big fan and mentioned a couple of times that I need to try their work and I’m soooo glad I did.
What I liked best about this book is that Levi wasn’t a “weak” character even with all his problems in life that seem to be putting him down.
Thane on the other hand took a bit of reading before I felt for him too. Their chemistry was of the charts – I can’t find the words to explain the hotness . The need for each other, growing love and trust between them.
I was crying halfway through the book and laughing like a lunatic by the end of it. This book just did something to me and I’m more then excited to have finally read a KA book and don’t even get me started how anxious of a wait it will be for Julian’s book.
I’m a HUGE fan

Thane Walker, 29, a food and entertainment entrepreneur, inaugurates a venue dedicated to gay dating – Reservations. A gay club that facilitates the meetings, but with defined rules of what is allowed.
His life is focused on work. His restaurants are at the top of the list of the best. He manages everything with an iron hand. No detail escapes him.
His last partner, Julian Cullen, now works for him as manager.
He does not want romance. His parents were the greatest example that love does not exist.
Levi Silva, 26, had to leave medical school at John Hopkins when his father cancer was back.
Now, he is the tutor of his two younger brothers, Logan and Luke. He needs to work on more than one job to get enough to live. He discovers that Luke is not coping well with their father’s death, going into depression, and yet he has to watch for everything to go well or he may lose custody of them. He has the help of their aunt, Linda, but he does not think she should take any responsibility. It was Levi who promised his father that he would keep the family together, and he would do it until the end.
A few months ago, Levi met Jullian at the therapy center. Jullian looked very well, after all the violence he had suffered. Even his scar on his face was barely perceptible. Jullian wanted to be reciprocal to Levi for all the help he got, and invited him to work at Reservations.
Levi was gay but would not agree to exchange sexual favors for money.
But the work was too good to refuse. One night, Levi would tip more than he earned by waiting tables at the Café.
A few days later, Levi’s life is in a state of shock when Reservations owner himself, Thane, sees him for the first time.
Thane was determined to have a night with Levi, but he denied the proposal even though the value was obscene. However, Thane had not come successful professionally where he was giving up easily, so he decided to hunt Levi.
Before even knowing that that man was his boss, Levi felt attracted to Thane.
With Thane’s insistence on having a night of love, Levi gives in.
Everything was beautiful.
Until the next morning when Thane screwed up.
Levi had a lot to solve to still have to deal with a man who did not want a genuine relationship, but just an escort.
Thane could not stop thinking about Levi and the nonsense he had committed.
He wanted to fix everything.
He wanted Levi to give him a second chance.
Having so much to be adapted – both would have to yield at some point – would they get to come to their long-held relationship based on trust and love?
I’m absolutely suspicious of talking about Kindle’s books because I always fall in love with the characters she writes.
These here would be no different.
At the beginning of the book, if the reader has not read the blurb, he may be a bit lost. Jullian has a certain highlight – and further on the reader understands why. There is every explanation of what’s Reservations and who is in this endeavor with Thane (his partners). But when Levi starts working on Reservations, the story seems to gain a different light and everything fits.
A novel that doesn’t just concern with love-story, but with all the characters’ background.
A more than pleasant reading…as always…
4.5 Star Review of Reservations by Kindle Alexander
Wow what a great book ; this was one of those books that drew me in from the very first page and kept me entertained until the last page.
I have come to expect that a Kindle Alexander book will draw many varied emotions from me; Reservations was no exception. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I got frustrated but most of all I loved This was such an emotional roller coaster of a ride. The characters have a great deal of depth and I fell hard for Levi and Thane as well as Levi’s younger brothers. Each one became near and dear to me as I read this story.
When your mind and heart are at odds, and you don’t know which one to follow, you cannot help but have reservations about your feelings. This is the situation for Thane and Levi and my heart just about broke for them at times
As with previous books that I have read from Kindle Alexander, Reservations was exceptionally well written with strong, yet vulnerable characters who will soon find their way in to your heart, I know they did mine.
Can Thane and Levi come to terms with their relationship and move forward or will they turn away from each other? One click Reservations and find out.
Another amazing story from the writing duet that are Kindle Alexander. This is a MM romance set in USA. This author as one of my favourite go to MM authors.
Wildly successful entrepreneur, Thane Walker is stubbornly set in his ways and adamantly resists the shackles of commitment. He’s seen enough unhappy endings to learn the best way to play is by keeping his men on the payroll.
Levi Silva’s dream of graduating from one of the country’s top medical schools is in his grasp, until news from home changes everything. Now, he’s raising his two teenage brothers and trying to keep everyone’s head above water, emotionally and financially.
When Levi’s new job puts him in Thane’s path, their chemistry explodes, but their fear of being involved in relationships keeps them apart. Unfortunately, despite the intense desire drawing them together, neither man can move forward until they get past their own…Reservations.
Another fabulous book by Kindle Alexander! Well written, unique story with engaging characters. In the beginning, I was a little frustrated that it took a while for the MCs to meet but, it ended up working so well for the story.
While I do love Levi & Thane as a couple, there were several times that I wanted to punch Thane for his thoughts or actions. While there was strife in their relationship, it doesn’t last too long. They still have a lot of issues to work out, their relationship isn’t all smooth sailing.
****
POV… third person
Standalone or series… stand alone
Did it give me a hangover… slight
Would I recommend it… yes
Would I read it again… yes
I was given an ARC of this book by the authors in exchange for an honest review.
Kindle Alexander does not disappoint. This was an amazing book. It is full of plenty of emotion, romance and humor. Both men have insecurities that have them running scared from love. The have to learn to overcome these and come together. It is a heartwarming story with wonderful supporting characters including a few from previous books.
Thane isn’t immediately likeable but he faces his shortcomings and works hard to change himself to be a better man. He is a young, rich, arrogant entrepreneur who wants no strings escort relationships and isn’t used to NO. Levi is a struggling med student who put his dreams on hold to take care of his teenage brothers. He is working two jobs trying to hold his family together. When it comes to Reservations he has preconceived notions and only sees in black and white at first. He is no escort no matter how much is offered. They have to decide if they can change and overcome all the obstacles to have a shot at happily ever after.
This is definitely a 5 star read!!
I recently commented that I was a fluffy butt reader. When I described what that is I illustrated as “guarantee HEA, just enough story tension to keep you engaged, plenty of steam and leave you with a big ol’ grin”. Now I wish I could have said “Read Reservations”. Because Kindle Alexander delivers this with a check in every box plus more!
Normally I finish a book with a newly minted book boyfriend in my posse. Damn, seriously I cannot choose. First I was all over Levi – because cute boy next door and firm family values. And Thane was being well…an unintentional jerk but I still wanted to kick his ass. However, Kindle Alexander gives us a Pinocchio transformation in Thane that you can’t help but want him to win his man! * Swoon * And Levi…yeah don’t let those innocent looks fool you because HOT DAMN!
As a huge fan of all the previous books, it’s a joy to see characters you’ve previously loved hop into the story. However, Kindle Alexander doesn’t feel like you’ve missed out if you’ve not previously read. As always, they bring characters to full life and give the reader an experience of these wonderful secondary characters. All these characters lend to the story the necessary ingredients to keep you flipping page after page. Especially Julian – which HINT he needs his story next!
If you are new to Kindle Alexander and looking for something to make your heart happy, dive right into this read. If you are a fan, you won’t be disappointed with yet another love story that will leave you grinning. 5 out of 5 stars.
Well damn. Just when I think I can’t fall for yet another swoon-worthy couple from the talented hands that are Kindle Alexander, these two literally steal my breath once again. Thane Walker and Levi Silva set the bar high as the unlikely pair who fight both their own and each other’s reservations in this beautiful story of a love that went from 0 to 60 in a matter of moments. But this is not your usual insta-love. Oh no, the authors would never do that without crafting a rich journey that makes the sudden lust that crackles between Thane and Levi seem destined.
Reservations is abundant in the most erotic of sex scenes. Kindle Alexander always give their all when it comes to matters of the physical, giving the reader a passion that is felt deep within the pages of their books. I was hooked just as Thane and Levi were from that very first tryst and felt every bit of dread in my heart and soul as they struggled to comprehend how they could go forward without destroying their lives as they knew them. Each man has that apprehension about anything more than just a good and for very differing reasons. But you can feel the heat, the change in the tide for both of them as they come to realize that whatever is between them would always be more than just a good time.
Boss and employee. Financially settled and struggling to make ends meet. Levi and Thane are seemingly so far out of each other’s leagues yet there is a fire between them that can only be controlled when each is near. But to say that they can keep their hands and naughty thoughts to themselves whenever the other is within touching distance is so not the case. Thane and Levi have an addiction when it comes to the other man and holy smokes is it something to see.
I guess what is most endearing about Reservations is that the authors masterfully once again combine fervor with tenderness and that right amount of humor. With all that goes on between these off the charts sexy men, secondary characters, many beloved subjects of prior books, make well-timed appearances to lighten the tension. Julian, in particular, is a man on a mission and as the manager for the club, he is a whirlwind of opinions and the words that go with them. Add in the charming and truly sweet brothers of Levi who are Logan and Luke and you have one heck of motley crew. But love is always at the forefront and the authors’s characters embrace it even when they feel they aren’t deserving.
Grab Reservations and enjoy a well-written tale of finding that imperfect person at the most unexpected of times. Thane and Levi will rock your world much like they did for each other and you’ll find yourself smiling, sighing and panting almost as much as they did.
5 huge stars!
Although Reservations is only my 3rd (or possibly 4th?) Kindle Alexander book, I’m going out on a limb and saying it’s my favorite. That may be a bit presumptuous of me, but I’m feeling a little rebellious tonight so I’m going with it. I was so utterly engrossed in Thane and Levi’s story I didn’t want to put the book down…but I also didn’t want to finish it and have to say good-bye. Not only did Thane and Levi have me completely enamored, but Logan and Luke pretty much stole my heart.
On the surface you’d think Thane and Levi couldn’t be more different. Thane Walker is confident and brash, thinking money can buy him anything. Levi Silva’s more cautious and reserved. And while money is something he and his brothers are in short supply of, he’s not someone who can be bought. Even though neither man is looking for any type of serious relationship, when an unexpected opportunity for Levi throws him in the path of Thane nothing could have prepared them for everything to come. From their entertaining first meeting, through the ups and downs and stops and starts of a new and very tentative relationship, there’s no denying there’s something very special between them. It was really wonderful seeing both Thane and Levi acknowledge and accept that sometimes you have to veer off the path you’ve chosen for yourself and open up to the possibility that there’s something better down that other road.
Let’s just talk about those Silva boys, shall we? While Reservations is Thane and Levi’s story, it wouldn’t be what it is without Logan and Luke. After the death of their father Levi takes on the responsibility of raising his teen-age brothers himself. Not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination, but Levi wouldn’t have it any other way. And no matter how serious things became with Thane, his brothers always, always were his top priority. The angst I expected to come from Thane and Levi was actually felt for Levi and his brothers. I was so worried about their little family, always waiting for the worst to happen, for something to come along and screw with what they had. I didn’t want anyone or anything to tear them apart. I wish I could have climbed right into my Kindle and hugged and loved on them all.
Chock full of heart, humor, and heat, with a great big helping of hope, Reservations will not only leave you wanting more, but it will leave you with a great big smile on your face.
Reservations by Kindle Alexander is a lighter different story that everyone is going to be surprised they needed or wanted. Reservations is so another great story from this wonderful writing Team. I was hooked on this story from the start. I loved it and encourage all to check it out.
Levi Silva is standup guy who was working on becoming a Doctor with a scholarship At John Hopkins. Family comes first, so when his father dies Home he comes to raise his teenage brothers. He must work several jobs to try to keep them above water, emotionally and financially.
Thane Walker is a successful entrepreneur who keeps his partners as employees. He has grown up with seeing enough unhappy endings to not want the L-word ever involved.
Kindle Alexander explores how they each come to fit their lives together. They are both out and know what they need in their partners, this is the belief neither man can move forward with until they get past their own…Reservations.
Kindle Alexander tells the best stories, Reservations is no exception. Kindle Alexander again gives their readers the story voice they expect. This time the main characters are on the same level in their lives except for economies. Reservations is connected to some of their other books, so We get to catch up with other characters we already know, but it can be read as a standalone.
It is another Kindle Alexander Story that you will fall for, I did. If you like Kindle Alexander stories, you are going to love this one. Check Reservations out, The Guys are all great to get to know. A Happy Book Hangover can be expected with rereads in your future.
Thanks Kindle Alexander & Good Writing
