Everybody has problems. But Travis? Yeah, he has so many problems that he finds it hard to breathe sometimes. He spends five years catering to his ex-wife’s every want and need—all to make it possible to continue to see his child. He isn’t supposed to fall in love with a woman, but he does.He isn’t supposed to find someone that is willing to put up with his ex-wife’s crazy antics, but he has.He … crazy antics, but he has.
He isn’t supposed to be happy, but he is.
And all it takes is his ex-wife finding out about his new-found peace for things to change.
Hannah saw him and knew he was the one.
All it took was one look into that haunted man’s eyes, and she was lost, never to be found again.
She thinks she has it all. His love, a new baby made with that love, and a house to raise their blended family.
She’s wrong, and Travis’ ex-wife is out to prove it.
Travis doesn’t deserve Hannah. All he’s done is hurt her.
She’s done everything in her power to keep everyone happy, but the more she tries, the harder his ex-wife pushes. Until one day, there’s nothing left to push.
Hannah leaves, and Allegra wins.
But Travis isn’t willing to let her have her way any longer.
He fights back, and only gets a bullet to the chest to show for it.

Travis did piss me off a lot throughout this book, with how he was going about things with Hannah. i wished that Hannah would have spoke up more to let Travis know what she was feeling. But, mostly i wanted to beat the crap out of Travis’s ex wife for everything that she caused. Really i was surprised that Hannah’s brother Michael didn’t show up and beat the crap out of Travis, that probably would have made him open his eyes sooner. These two characters are ones that haven’t been lucky in their past relationships, and they are in one way or another letting their insecurities almost end what they both want before there was a chance for them. And when these two come together it is hot.
if you can’t find any emotional connection with the characters, then you can’t relate to them and get into their story. And it is me having the emotions that i had about the characters that made me love this book.
another good one added to my re-read list.
there is now even more questions that have come to mind when it comes to the character Rafe.
I could not wait to get my hands on this one since meeting Hannah back in Coup de Grace. Hannah and Travis’s relationship does not start out we’ll due to Travis’s ex wife but he eventually realizes nothing will change with that so why not be happy. His ex wife sure does not make it easy for Hannah and Travis to have that relationship. There were moments that I wanted that woman to go to “hail.” Don’t know what I’m talking about, go read this book to find. There won’t be any spoilers here.
After putting down Hail No I went straight to GoodReads to see what the reviews said for the next book in the series. I honestly was worried. On one hand I was dying to read it but on the other the reviews were a little everywhere. There was a lot of Travis bashing and I was scared I was going to hate him.
And I kind of did but then I also kind of understood where he was coming from. His ex was a manipulative bitch who had a lot of power in their small town. But he seriously needed to man up and not let her actions dictate the happiness of everyone he loved.
Hannah was understanding and I appreciated that she was doing what she felt was best for everyone around her. She knew what was going on and didn’t try to make it about her. I liked that when she was upset she let him know but I probably would have respected her more if she packed her things and left when he was being a jerk.
That said I can’t wait to jump into the next one.
Absolutely loved this story. I felt so bad for Hannah, she was so patient and kind. Travis made me want to yell at him at times. Glad when he finally snapped out of it. Can’t deny the chemistry between Travis and Hannah. Not to mention the kids were cute as well. Lani Lynn Vale is an amazing writer, I have enjoyed every one of her books and look forward to more.
I absolutely adore this book. Travis and Hannah are tested. You really can’t help but cheer for this couple.
Go to Hail is the second book in the Hail Raisers series, and yes, you need to read book one before this…… just saying. Travis and Hannah do not have an easy life, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Both single parents with horrible ex’s, the two ended up having one night that left them with a little parting gift, their son. This should be the part where they decide to be a family, and live their HEA, but that is far from the truth. The two are stuck in a horrible loop that is not of their making. But what happens when Travis is done, when he is tired of this circus that he calls life and decides that he will become the ring master and not the puppet. Will this make things better or worse? Will Travis and Hannah finally get the happy ever after that they both deserve?
This was so freaking amazing, I can’t even go into how freaking amazing it was. Lani Lynn Vale has this knack for gutting you on one page while the next having you laugh out loud. We have been waiting for Hannah to get her story since the SWAT series, and boy did LLV deliver. The sexy times were so smoking hot that they burned up the pages, and make you want to try… new things. With the heartbreaking drama; the holding your breath moments and fingers crossed that this will all pan out, while you shed a tear or two, making sure that this isn’t a 5 star read, its more so much more.
I’m a huge fan of this author and love reading her books, but I sadly did not enjoy this book very much. This may be one of my least favorites by this author to date. Don’t get me wrong I still finished this book in a day and love that I get sucked into her books so easily, but once I finished Go to Hail I was left feeling absolutely nothing for anything that happened in this book and its characters.
LOVED Travis and his story!
Love the Hail family. Travis is so awesome. But I hate his ex. Hannah is so strong. I think I would of walked away. But Travis was trying to do right by his little girl.
This one was a bit different for me. Travis took some getting used to, at times I truly despised his behavior. Allowing his ex to control every aspect of his life for so long just didn’t sit right with me, not for such a strong man.
I get his reasons but he also had another child, one that didn’t have his father like he should have because of his ex. He allowed her to take precious time away from him with his daughter for years but to allow it with his son as well, I just couldn’t like him from the get go.
Eventually I warmed to him, but I swear I’m not sure I could have been Hannah for anything in the world.
That brings us to Hannah. She’s strong but I wish she had put her foot down sooner with Travis. She needed more than she was getting, living in the same home but separate from the man you love not to mention the ex from hell costing you everything.
I loved their love, their need for each other but I hated what it took for him to finally realize he had to make his own choices and not let someone else make them for him.
This is the first time I had to go so far into a Lani Lynn Vale book before I warmed to the main character. He certainly took me on an emotional journey and finally made me love him but it was one heck of a bumpy road getting there!
Book 2 in the Hail Raisers series is another I’ll read again and again, there’s something about these characters that even if I despise them I have to keep reading!
I adore Lani Lynn Vale and always look forward to reading her stories especially when they are about secondary characters that have been mentioned in past series , after meeting Hannah in Execution Style , Rusty Nail , and then seeing a clearer picture into her and Traviss story in Hail no I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Go to hell witch surprise surprise I wasn’t disappointed totally loved it . This can be read as a standalone but I’d suggest the you at least read the books listed above in that order you wont regret it and you’ll get a clearer picture into some of the history between the characters . So exited to read more in the Hail Raisers I’m a little hesitant on how to feel about Dante though my heart breaks for him not shore when his story will be but I just know it’s going to pack a mean punch . Hannah is pure LLV heroine funny , sweet , can hold her own , amazing mother not just to her kids but she shows Traviss little girl what a true mother is , and adore the relationship she has with her brother you can feel how much they mean to one another . Travis talk about being between a rock and hard place you can see the pain he has to go through when he sees his daughter she is so not nice but when he makes a stand I cheered him on to get the little girl who he held dear in his heart and not a carbine copy of her vindictive mother , he did irritate me a little bit but so made up for it , and I love the connection he has with his mom and brothers . Hannah and Travis can really heat up the pages when they got together I had to fan myself because WOW . I’m so happy that the author had little snippets of the meeting between the two and some of the key moments in their journey of a relationship . I can’t wait to read Burn in Hail the blurb really draws me and makes me want to read it like right now but that always happens when I finish a Lani Lynn Vale Book . This is one of a kind author you should definitely binge read her collection of series you wont regret it .

Have you ever met people that ALWAYS have something wrong going on in their lives or happening to them? Like it’s one disaster after another? That’s pretty much Hannah and Travis’ plight in life (and maybe even the plight of the Hail family as a unit). Both of them are decent people that managed to get attached to heinous exes, but Travis’ really takes the cake. Her retaliatory antics honestly kept me invested in the book. She was also one of my biggest issues with the book – because it’s told in dual perspective, first person POV (from Hannah and Travis, with a few cameo’s from a couple other characters), we never get an explanation as to why Allegra is such an utter and complete b!+ch. And while I appreciated the author’s method of story telling (we go back and forth from the present to pivotal moments in the couples relationship), there were times when the jumps back and forth in time and from POV to POV were a little choppy and disjointed. But other than that (and that at some point I just wanted them to catch a break and escape the clutches of Travis’ ex-wife – like she was some maniacal, genius super-villain bent on the total annihilation of the universe and they were the team of science nerds she had kidnapped and trapped in a laboratory to conduct her evil experiments), I liked the book and they do finally get their HEA. I didn’t enjoy it as much as Hail No, but I will be continuing on with the series. There were quite a few more characters introduced, along with tidbits about their lives to already make me want to know more about their stories (like Baylor, Tate, and Dante). 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
Go To Hail, Hail Yes no questions asked especially if Travis is ready and waiting. Raise your hands all those that have been waiting for Travis and Hannah to finally get their story. Travis has such a complicated life all dictated by his ex wife Allegra as she keeps him from his One, Hannah. Hannah loves Travis with all her heart and soul but knows that he has to put his daughter first. As Allegra pushes more and more and turns his daughter further against him Travis finally breaks and decides nothing will keep him from the woman he loves. Travis and Hannah’s story is about love and family and what you will do to protect the ones you love at all costs. Hannah is one strong woman who deserves it all and Travis is the man who will make sure she gets just that. Travis like all the Hail men will steal your heart and have you addicted to this series as you endure the love, losses and the drama that surround them as he hooks you up and tows you to the next adventure Burn In Hail.
I have been looking forward to getting Travis and Hannah’s story since we were introduced to them in Hail No and I can say that I absolutely loved their story. Lani Lynn Vale has such a talent with giving us a peek at the other couples and leaving us eager for more. My heart was aching for Hannah and I just knew that Lani was going to deliver us another must read, can’t help but to fall in love with story and I was right!
In Hail No when get a glimpse of Travis and Hannah. She is pregnant with his baby but they aren’t together and you can tell that Hannah’s heart is aching. We are left wondering why isn’t Travis with Hannah? Did she do something wrong? What in the world is going on with these two?
There is no way you could predict the craziness that is in store for you when you get all the answers. Travis and Hannah’s story was one Hail of a roller coaster ride and boy did I enjoy that ride.
If you haven’t read a book by Lani Lynn Vale then what in the world are you doing? One click this book!! It is a doozy and you are going to love it. If you have read Lani’s books before then you know what I’m talking about and what is taking you so long to one click? I highly recommend this book. You don’t have to read the first book in order to love this book but it is another great book as well.
