Roseline Enescue didn’t ask to become an immortal, to have all of the guests at her wedding slaughtered, or be forced into marriage with a man whose lust for blood would one day ignite the vampire legend.
Willing to risk everything for a chance at a normal life, Roseline escapes to America, but her transition into the human world isn’t easy. Mortal men flock after her while cutthroat girls plot … girls plot her demise. Yet she remains relatively unfazed until she meets Gabriel Marston. As their lives entwine, Roseline realizes he is more than he seems. His ability to grind concrete into dust pales in comparison to the glowing cross tattoo that mysteriously appears on his forearms.
Despite the forbidden bond between them, Roseline can’t help wondering what Gabriel is. He’s not human. He’s not immortal. So just what is he?

Loved this book! Fell in love with the characters from the beginning! The book has your attention from go!
It was a new author to me. The first bit was hard to get into for some reason, but after that I found myself completely engrossed. If you’re looking for a happily ever after, this isn’t it. But if you want gritty, realism, and a definite dark twist, then this is the book for you. You’ll be hunting up book two, I promise.

Perhaps I expected too much.
One of the best books I’ve read. I feel like I spent the last hours on an emotional rollercoaster.
My feelings after reading this book are just all over the place and I can’t form any words. I couldnt stop crying during the last few pages.
I am so shocked and horribly sad at the same time. Heartbroken. In tears. Shattered. Numb. Although I feared …
When I originally heard about this book I read some people’s opinions about why they didn’t want to read it and it was pretty much always because of the controversial subject matter. Well, that made me want to read it all the more.
Forbidden is raw and real and makes you really think about things. You always hear things like “you can’t help who …

WARNING: MY REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS. I simply could not write it without them.
Of course, I read all the warnings and had a vague idea of the “taboo” aspect of the relationship that I was going to read about. I thought I certainly could handle this, after all I distinctly remember my time with the V. C. Andrews’ series beginning with …
