Rosie Thompson is an eighteen-year-old girl with her whole life ahead of her. The Homecoming Dance is just one night away and she can already feel the weight of the crown upon her head. But when she leaves her home that Friday night, it’s for the very last time. When her body is found in a park the next morning, a whole town is turned upside down and a family is torn apart.Fifteen years later, … years later, Olivia still hasn’t moved on from her sister’s murder. Not only does she still see the ghost of her dead sister, she is pursuing a career studying the very monsters that destroyed Rosie and hundreds of other helpless victims. Olivia is desperate to find closure, but a new murder with connections to her past has reopened old wounds.
Nate Tucker is a successful Chicago detective. He also happens to be Olivia’s best friend. Nate has been fascinated by the Thompson case since the first time Olivia mentioned her dead sister to him. When a dead girl shows up in the city under circumstances eerily similar to Rosie’s murder, he is quick to make the connection.
Now, with stale evidence and fifteen-year-old memories to guide him, Nate has the chance to solve the current murder case, as well as the death of the Homecoming Queen that refuses to stop haunting the people she left behind.
Dark and haunting, Ring Around the Rosie is utterly suspenseful and surprising to the end.

Well, I wanted to read the next one, if there was one. The author kept me engaged from start to finish
Liked it interesting
A good story with just enough mystery to keep it interesting. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. My one complaint is something most female writers do. It’s also a love story between the two main characters. Unrequited love…..again. It’s a good mystery and definitely leads to the next book but save the romance for harlequin.
Surprisingly much better than I would have thought and loved Rosie as the ghost….not as frightening which is great for me.
Two people meet their freshman year of college and remain friends for 12 years, through relationships with others, sharing a deep connection with one another. Olivia has a tragedy of the death of her older sister when she was barely a teen, while Nate had an abusive father who died when he was young. He was raised by his mom who remained single until her death, years later. Nate had a rocky short-lived marriage and never thought he would ever consider taking the plunge again, a death he is investigating in Chicago may well be connected to Olivia’s sister’s death, which has gone unsolved for 15 years. Can he and Olivia find the clues that have evaded the authorities all this time? Will they figure out they are so connected because they actually love one another but each is afraid to make the first move? This book hooked me for the series! I enjoyed the characters and the situations as well as the steam given off by Nate and Olivia!
not crazy about being left hanging
Predictable and unbeivable.

It’s been fifteen years since Rosie, Olivia’s sister was killed. Now Olivia has her sister haunting her and studies the killers that took her. Nate is a detective and been best friends with Olivia for twelve years. When a girl is killed, it is closely similar to Olivia’s sisters. Can they find the killer before he turns his sights to Olivia?
Suspense and mystery. This is so good and the start of the series. Friends to lovers story.
