“Sisters are for sharing laughter and wiping tears.” ~ Author Unknown. When Perry shows up on Grace’s doorstep, pregnant and penniless, Grace is shocked. In the past, she has always been there to bail Perry out of trouble. But this time is different. Grace is on the fast track to become a partner in her high-powered NYC law firm. The last thing she needs is her screw-up sister and a fatherless … infant to take care of. And when Perry disappears, leaving her six-week-old baby behind, Grace realizes what an impossible position Perry has placed her in. The only solution appears to be putting little Emily up for adoption. Or is it? Once again, Patricia Kay delivers the kind of wrenching, emotional, family oriented story she is known for. You will fall in love with the Campisi sisters and find yourself rooting for both Grace and Perry. And if you don’t have a sister of your own, you’ll wish you did.

Too sudden of an ending but entertaining.
Was a very good book. The author developed the characters very well. I was surprised sometimes and that delighted me!
Loved it.
Cut surprisingly short. Unique, friendly novel. It kept me a bit entertained, devastingly possible and sad ending.
this could have been a much better story, but it seems to have been told mostly in shorthand, with assorted common experiences standing in for actions or motivations and half the time i had to keep turning back through pages to see if i had missed clues about the formation of relationships and ideas.
Sad but totally believable.
I wanted some light reading after reading 2 serious and depressing books and this book fit the bill. A reader wouldn’t want to think to hard about parts of the book because of the plot holes. Lucky for me I didn’t want to think, ha ha.
First person point of view was very effective. I found myself wanting to throttle the inept, whining sister who could not take charge of her life. The main character was believable and made good decisions in the end.
Didn’t quite develop the way I thought it would. OK book
Very depressing read.
Liked reading
A very enlightening view of a situation none of us would want to be in. Very good book.
Love this author after this first read of her work.
Love finding a new author. Will read more by her.
