Finnegan MacGillivray, red-haired, freckle-faced social pariah, finds solace in his mother’s garden while she entertains “dates” in his home. When an accident takes the life of a friend, Finnegan buries the evidence amid the purple dead nettle and bougainvillea, and unearths a treasure trove of human remains. Did his house rest atop an ancient burial ground? Or was there a killer tucking him into … into bed at night?
His fascination with bones grows as fast as his obsession with his mother. She rejects his advances, and he escapes to the other side of the country. Years later, he returns to his childhood home, to the secrets and the guilt and the bones — and to fulfill his destiny.

I stopped reading this book three-quarters through. I suddenly just didn’t care about what else could possibly happen.
This book was interesting, but not really believable. good character development, but a lot of the plot elements were a stretch.
Good but I felt the author just got tired of writing toward the end.
.
Didn’t care for this one
Good read
Good read but dragged on a little
I loved this book! I really felt for Finnegan. That poor kid, what a life, what a mom, my God. It tore my heart out when he lost his best friend. He seemed to suffer so much for that mistake. As the book goes on it’s interesting to see how Finnegan matures and changes his life; but, he is always drawn back to the bones. I especially loved the last chapter and the last line in the book. Fantastic!
Lol didnt read it
