I’m in! This one meets my expectations of Ms Seton’s writing abilities ~ these characters ~ especially Noah and Olivia ~ really came to life in the way Book 1 kind of failed for me. i’m glad I read on ~ the feud is being chipped away ~ one wedding at a time!
Great job!
Love Cora’s books! I always get hooked on the entire series.
Noah Turner has been fighting with his heart about a woman named Olivia Cooper. Their families has been at war with each other for a lot of years. Olivia has been trying to take a clock from them for a long time that should belong to her family.
I have seen someone say that this is like the Hatfield and the McCoy feud. In a lot of ways this does remind me of them. I love this book and can not wait to the next one comes out

Cowboy’s Outlaw Bride is book 2 of the Turners vs Coopers (Chance Creek) by Cora Seton and what a way to continue with the feuding families.
The continuing feud between the Turners and Coopers, with a broken engagement that happened over a century ago and keeps the next generation carrying forward with the feud along with a clock that was part of it all….
Olivia Cooper and her family want the clock back where they think it belongs but the Turner family refuses to give it back so Olivia decides it’s time to take it back by any means available, but Noah Turner always seems to catch her in the act of taking it along with a growing attraction for each other except they know nothing can happen between them with the feud hanging over their heads…or can it?
Feuding families, summer drought, winning the Founder’s Prize for the Ridley property are all mixed in to keep you reading and rooting for Noah and Olivia to maybe end the feud but…maybe not…
Great story line, believable characters you get drawn into.A+++
Once again Cora Seton has written a novel that is just difficult to put down, good thing it was a Saturday and I could just keep reading! Noah and Olivia find themselves in a situation similar to Romeo and Juliet. Their families have been feuding for generations but they are in love even as they both feel they need to remain loyal to their respective families. Of course it is tough to battle against the family of the person you love without causing some hard feelings with your love interest. Fortunately, unlike Romeo and Juliet this story has a happy ending.
This was a very enjoyable romance and Cora Seton has left plenty of hints at what might be coming in the future stories even as she gave us a chance to look in on former characters from her other books. So while this book can be read as a stand alone novel, those that have read her other books will enjoy the cameo appearances from other series. It’s great how all of her books intertwine with one another. Looking forward to what is next in store for Chance Creek.
