When it comes to Ron Thompson¿ his career, the Marines under his command, his women ¿ he¿s in charge. Period. The sooner Brenna Roberts realizes that, the better.RonI¿m a decorated Marine general who doesn¿t have time for relationships. I¿ve tried ¿they just don¿t work out¿and I¿ve never lost sleep over it. Then I meet her. Brenna is easily the most beautiful woman I¿ve ever laid eyes … eyes on. The first time she blushes under my stare, it¿s game over. She¿s going to need to learn that I¿m in charge and trust that I always mean what I say, because I¿m not letting her go.Brenna When Ron offers me a drink at the Sterling¿s wedding reception, I have no idea that he¿s a military star on the rise; I just know he¿s the walking definition of masculine¿that translates in the bedroom (and couches, counters, tables¿) as the best sex I¿ve ever had. The more time we spend together, the more I¿m convinced he¿s hiding something ¿ or someone¿and I¿m not going down that road again. He can say anything he wants, but actions speak louder than words.

Oh how I adored General Ron Thompson and Brenna Roberts’ love story and at the same time boy did they make me mad at them. They were two mature adults whose chemistry was off the charts, had a lot of real life experience under their belts, knew what they wanted and went after it and didn’t need validation at every turn were big pluses. The fact that they spent way too much time talking at each other instead of to each other made me want to wring both of their necks. All in all, i completely enjoyed reading this book and most likely read the rest of the series.
4.5 Stars xx These two are delightful and downright dirty when they’re together and on the same page. I swear that they spend more time ripping each other’s clothes off than they do actual talking (to each other; they have no problems communicating with others) for most of the book. Not that I’m complaining! It just leads to a lot of misunderstanding and heartache.
Brenna has some baggage from her former marriage that often gets in the way and causes them to be on different pages on more than one occasion. Ron felt a connection to her quickly and battles to break down her walls but it is a challenge – especially when she tells a lie and neither of them take the time to truly listen to the other.
They are really good for each other and it’s adorable at how inseparable they are when things are right between them. With his job sending him away for long periods of time with little to no notice for some of those trips, they make the best of the time they have together. Of course, the call of duty frequently comes at really inopportune moments which is sometimes a bit funny, occasionally leaving them high and dry… when it isn’t causing rifts.
I liked the narrators. They were well chosen for these roles. They had pleasant voices that really brought the characters to life.
S is for sexy saga
The General’s Desire is splendid story about two mature adults falling in love, and trying to have a relationship while dealing with a demanding job and heaps of baggage. Narrator’s J.F. and Anastasia did a great job bring the main characters to life. The only thing I noticed was that General Ron was supposed to have a southern accent, however only Anastasia gave him one, but J.F. didn’t. If you’re looking for a long read/listen to settle into, this one’s for you.
I simply loved this story about Brenna and Ron (we met him in the previous book Operation Sex Kitten). Brenna has a little trust issue, thanks to her late cheating husband. But Ron is so, so lovely and really is a hero. First by saving her from an asshole she dated a few times, later on by treating her like a princess. And there’s a lot more of his chivalry in this book which I don’t want to spoil.
It is a great story with multiple well described sexy scenes.
This review is based on the audiobook. The narrators were really awesome!
