Business Management and Leadership Expert, M.D. White, releases new book, “The Influence of Military Strategies to Business.” A military-based guide to business takes the best wartime tactics and practices and teaches you how you can apply them in your business—and your political or personal life—successfully. The book is scheduled for release on the 1st of October. As a Business Strategy and … and Psychological Warfare Consultant, M.D. White wrote this book utilizing his countless experiences over the years to properly proffer working, tested and trusted strategies to help business owners or employees, business managers or executives, politicians and or public figures manage high-stake business and leadership situations with the greatest success. White had this to say: “No amount of experience in crucial conversations, or business negotiations, can prepare you better than the information you’ll gleam from this manual. It’s truly a politician’s guide to psychological warfare. Perhaps its President Trumps bible, and what he reads everynight. The moral of the story is: Use it, or be used by it! Current geopolitical controversies only emphasize this point.”
Many have deliberated over the effect of military strategies in business, but M.D. White cuts to the chase and reveals the raw and missing pieces all other military strategy discussions have left out. In this book, White extracts the key ingredients of military strategies and the applications which are left out in most discussions. For the first time ever there is a clear work-around of military strategies and an easy to understand roadmap on learning how to unlock, grow and strengthen from within one’s influence, presence and abilities.
The Author further stressed the effectiveness of military strategies in business. “This military-based guide to business takes the best wartime tactics and practices and teaches you how you can apply them in your business—and your political or personal life—successfully. Developed within a systematic and comprehensive framework, this book utilizes the art of war in a whole new way and reveals that the path to a smooth business victory and mutually beneficial dialogue can be found in an unexpected but rewarding place.”
The world of business is a battlefield. You must be prepared.
Sun Tzu said, “The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him.” The takeaway? Do everything in your power to be prepared, because it’s only a matter of time before something goes wrong. If you are running, founding, working in any business, or are in an environment where ‘politics’ yield to nobody, The Influence of Military Strategies to Business is the preparation you need to succeed.

This book is a wonderful read for anyone interested in either Military Strategies or Business development. The author delves into the different areas of business relating them to the military or vice versa. By using Sun Tzu and his studies, marketing is analyzed as war and how similar the two are.
About half way through the book, there is a list of the Principals of Sun Tzu and The Art of Business which includes 15 different generalizations analyzed and proved. After that, it is shown how to combine Productivity and the Art of war and linking the two together. Later in the book, there are many more generalizations stated then proven with reliable facts and information.
This book is a good read for people who are interested in developing their business strategies and looking at how successful businesses, in this century, have succeeded and will continue to grow.

MD White has created a military-based guide to business that takes the best wartime tactics and practices and teaches us how we can apply them in our business–and our political or personal life–successfully. In his Introduction White states, ‘The parallels between war and business planning are numerous. The important distinctions between war and business planning involve the ultimate ends of a given conflict. War involves physical destruction and death. When a business conducts operations, economic utility is generated, and employees, stakeholders, and society on the whole derive some benefit. The nature of competition is generally regulated by law, and if disputes arise among rivals, either marketplace conditions or legal systems will make a binding decision over corporate life and death, victory or defeat. Introducing the analogies of war into the business environment is complex and may arouse emotions and an ethos contrary to the culture of commerce. As multinational businesses expand their reach, they can be engines of wealth generation and peace. However, if global corporations adopt an overly martial ideology, then the hopes for human progress and cultural evolution will be dashed.
The comparison to military and business may not be new but few have delivered the history of the subject matter and the implementation as well as White. Sound principles here, accessible to even the non-military minded reader, White makes a very strong case for his concept. As he quotes Sun Tzu, ‘Knowing ones self and Knowing the enemy’ and there is much to learn form this entry Read and learn.
I first want to say that I love books like this, books that take on new looks on how businesses/leaders can move forward in a positive way. This book is a bit more than that, as it has applications (as the best leadership books do) outside of the workplace.
White masterfully outlines great plans/tactics that can help get you through a lot of difficult business and/or life decisions. Sections of this book are dedicated to being a successful leader, so it’s not all just outright business strategy. A lot of it is very unique and comes from a place of “knowing your enemy” in the sense of your challenge/obstacle. Being prepared and having a plan is key, but it’s clear White has a wealth of knowledge that he is sharing with his readers.
White did a great job, he’s clearly got the experience here. Any leader or business-minded individual should read this book.
A book that can help you into your business if you want to start up or just needs some problem solving.
It has a lot of different views of comparing military with business and combine them.
It is about how to know what you have, want or can give to others. And to know your business partners.
Friend and enemy in military terms.
As a business woman myself I liked the strategies the book have which are possible to use in your company and business plan. A very useful book with useable strategies.

Very interesting, analytical, educational book. Short- reading but full of usefull informations. Without doubt -worth reading.
Well, I am going to have to be honest in this review. When I found out that this book was associated with the military, I got nervous all over because I for one am not a person you’d expect to have anything to do with that part of the U.S. government. But since this was mandatory, I decided to give it a try and give it my most non-pretentious reaction/recommendation afterwards. And there are highs and lows about it but let me remind you this is because I am biased. So I will forget the negatives and go with the positives and here are they:
I found out from this book some practices in the military. I also found out that you can apply these methods and mindsets in growing or starting your business. This is why it is so for those who were and are serving in the armed forces who are expecting to delve into the business world later on in their lives. I know that this book provides such in-depth and easy-to-follow ideas that suits every reading level out there. I am happy myself that I was given this book in the first place to review because I may need it when I am down and serious about how to provide my services when I know that the time is right. It may not be tomorrow but I am positive that I will apply these methods in this book to my life when and if I get a chance at starting a business. As you know by now, this book reviewing service that I am doing for this book may and can spin-off into a moneymaking business (not the book reviewing but something kind of similar like freelance copywriting and proofreading. I mean, who knows, right?
Another positive about this book I’d like to discuss are the valuable lessons from an ancient Chinese military strategist by the name of Sun Tzu that really in my opinion are relatable and are easy-to-adapt to. These are some of his teachings that M.D. White the author of this book cites as the ultimate mastermind behind the military-to-business model:
“Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles, you will never be in peril.”
“He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.”
“Timing is essential.”
“The best way to win is to not fight at all.”
“Develop a skill (or combination of skills) nobody else has and you won’t have to compete with anyone.”
Lastly, one thing about this book of M.D. White’s that I came to appreciate was the way he listed some companies who came up with lucrative original ideas but lost to those companies who took their ideas and added their own spice to them and amassed great fortunes with them. I was amazed at some of the failure companies mentioned because that really sucks when it was your idea in the first place but you did not make money with it whereas those who may have taken (stole) it from you have gone on to become rich with it. Oh well, once again, I had to remind myself that that’s how life is.
As a final thought to all this, those people who are retirees from the military and those who have had some involvement in the military for a short time, this book is for you. You know about the principles and strategies of the military and combine those with the ideas from Sun Tzu that M.D. White lays down in here, you may go on to become a successful businessman or woman. I am glad that I have this book in my kindle for future reference. So this is definitely a great Christmas gift idea for that soldier in your family who has mentioned something about starting his or her own business when he or she retires from the armed forces OR this is a fantastic gift for that non-serving but soldier at heart individual you know and love. Happy holidays!
The Influence of Military Strategies to Business by M.D. White is a comprehensive look at the business world and how to succeed. Taking a cue from the Sun Tzu playbook, White breaks down what you need to do into two very basic components: knowing oneself, and knowing the enemy. White makes clear that military strategy does have a place in business, and is a good starting point in creating success not only in business but in your personal life. While in war, you want to kill the enemy, in business you simple want to beat the competition, and gain market share by taking their customers. Overall, a comprehensive book with some solid strategies to apply to a business setting, whether you have a small business to run or a large corporation. Highly recommend.
I am a freelance writer and I am often asked to create articles on all aspects of business. I have to admit that I don’t know a great deal about business strategy, so it can be hard for me to come up with original ideas and theories. So, I often look to books to give me a better understanding of the business world. This led me to ‘The Influence of Military Strategies to Business’ by ‘MD White’, which seemed to have a unique perspective on business, presenting a great learning opportunity for me.
The overriding message is that in business (like in war, or in the military) you need to be prepared for any eventuality. Even when things are running smoothly, something can go wrong, and if you don’t have measures in place it can cause serious problems within an organisation. There are also lessons that can be applied to your personal life too. Overall, a really informative and useful book.
This was quite a surprising read. I have never previously given much thought to either the military or business and this book opened my eyes to these subjects and to their distinct overlaps. For example, consider an everyday term such as ‘price war’. The author writes in an engaging, no-frills way, giving real-life examples from war and well-known household name businesses. He utilises the ancient teachings of Sun Tzu, a Chinese military strategist, starting with the essential principles of ‘knowing oneself’ and ‘knowing the enemy’. This is a densely packed, well-researched handbook, to be set apart from stuffy academic textbooks, but with equal if not superior content. Presented in short, punchy sections, minus any waffle, these two giants of subjects are rendered accessible, along with the author’s conclusions. MD White is an entrepreneur, business management expert and psychological warfare consultant and is interested in the ‘psychology of things’ as he likes to put it. And he certainly puts over his points well.
For those running a small business, in management, or budding entrepreneurs will find so much useful information in The Influence of Military Strategies to Business’ by MD White. He has taken the teachings from ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu (author of the Art of War), and applied them to the business world. Whether your business goal is growth, set yourself apart form the competition, or to get the most from your employees, you will find useful advice to help your business thrive in this book. There are real-life examples to relate to, from many well-known global companies, that will help you to see how military strategies can be implemented to a real business. The Influence of Military Strategies will serve as a useful reference to anyone wanting to boost their business acumen.
