I really enjoyed this book. I loved the connection between Suzie and Kit. Suzie been given the responsibility of placing shifter children with the appropriate foster parents while Fiona is on maternity leave since she knows about shifters, a shifter child was left at Bear Bluff hospital but when Suzie she’s basically told that Fiona has already arranged for the baby to temporarily go stay with Dr Kit Malvern who has plenty of practice fostering since his mate has eluded him, Suzie is a bit put out that Fiona was called and she still needs to check out that the baby is going to a suitable home and is okay as that’s her job, even if Fiona vouches for Kit. Nurse Beth takes her up to see Kit who is currently checking over the baby and they walk in and Kit goes all weak at the knees and Suzie starts to think that he’s on something and is planning to try and find another placement but Beth tells her that it’s her that’s making him like that since they’re mates. I’m glad Suzie got her forever love with a shifter a man who’d do anything to make her happy and would never leave her, like her mum was left after she got pregnant with Suzie and her parents basically just told her so as they’d warned her that Suzie’s father was only after one thing and then kicked her out of home. Kit has been waiting forever for his mate and has filled his heart and home with fostering babies and Suzie loves children as she’s been working at Social Services for years so Fate sure knows what it’s doing matching them together. I loved that both Kit and Suzie never judged baby Storm’s mum Louise for leaving her and just wanted to help find her incase she needs medical attention. I thought Storm was a great temporary name for the baby and she’s such a wee cutie. I loved getting to meet Storm’s mum Louise and I’m looking forward to reading her story next as she needs someone to love her and Storm unconditionally after everything she’s been through in her short life. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Suzie is subbing for Fiona, a foster care worker, when a baby is left at the local hospital. Doctor Kit is ready to take the shifter baby home when Suzie gets to the hospital. No sooner does she arrive does Kit realize she is his mate. She is worried about the mother of the child, but stops worrying when she’s with Kit. He tends to the baby in a snow storm. Kit also sets a trap for a shifter cat who is following them. Then, they try to find the mother.
Another good book from Harmony. Enjoyed Kit’s story. He’s a great doctor and Susie had own problems growing up, plus being a social worker she’s abole to help other kids in need. So happy for Fiona. #babydragon
