I was granted an ARC of Mellanie Szereto’s “Egging Her On (Love on the Menu…Steamed Book 1)” via B00|{$P®0UT; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
Two people who want a no strings relationship – what can go wrong? Love the strong no nonsense female character who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants, the humor in the story, and the animals. Just wish the story would have been a tad bit longer and developed the relationship aspect a little more.
The storyline was so well written the characters pulled you right into their story as it infolds and flows from the turn of every page.
She has a farm which produces eggs and he is trying to buy her farm. There are sparks between them. So what will happen? Will she stop him getting her farm? Will he leave her farm alone? See where this will go

This book was gripping, well written & the chemistry between the characters, Blaine & Lindie, sizzled throughout this wonderful read.
Well done Mellanie. I look forward to more!
I don’t know what I was expecting when I read the blurb on the review site where I often pick books to review, but this wasn’t quite it. The book seems far more crude than it needs to be. While I don’t consider myself a prude, I often wish that sensual romance books didn’t resort to profanity or crass terms. Often these days, it seems like romances are either clean or lewd, without much middle ground. At least here on Goodreads, the top of the blurb states “erotic romance.”
The heroine, Lindie, is a no-nonsense farmer, specializing in eggs though she does sell some produce as well. The peaceful life she has created for herself is upended when someone wants to buy her property for way more than its value. This turns out to be the many-times-great grandson of the original owner who would like to have it back in the family so that he can raise his orphaned nephews there. The blurb says they meet when she’s naked, but there’s definitely more to it than that.
They immediately decide to embark on a no-strings affair, complete with a detailed contract specifying contraception, STD checks, and no mention of relationship terms (among other things). Will this affair impact the proceedings with a property? Will either of them break the contract? Why is Lindie dead set against selling, even at a fantastic price? What is her big secret?
I found Lindie to be too rough, abrasive, and crude. She’s definitely not a shrinking violet. It’s hard for me to imagine a real woman acting with Blaine as she does the first two times they meet.
Perhaps I read it wrong, but the blurb seems to be more about their property dispute and Lindie’s secret. The book, however, seems more about their tawdry affair. I would liked to have seen more character development, and given the way the story actually went, more of a development of actual romantic interest between the two, not a just sexual one.
The cover of the book isn’t right. Lindie is stated to be 40 more than once, and Blaine himself is supposed to be nearing 40. Neither of the models on the cover appears to be close to those ages. I like it when a book has an older heroine, but this should be clear on the cover. Otherwise, it seems hypocritical, using youth to sell a story about a more mature romance.
The book had some of the common issues with grammar, punctuation, and spelling, but these in themselves did not distract from the book.
I received a free copy, but–obviously–this did not affect my review.
Love it when characters are straightforward and tell it like it is. Lindie was funny and she doesn’t take shit from anyone. Her first scene with Blaine was so hot and their instant attraction was scorching. I only wish there was an epilogue to know how their future turned out.

I don’t want spoil anything but the speed of this story is not working with the type of no sens strong minded characters describe here. Also the all things is just a bit too much of cliché.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

This is the first book by this author that I have read, it is well-written and a story that I enjoyed reading. Lindie Brewster is forty and owns the home that Blaine Stockwell wants to buy. It belonged to his Grandparents and he wants to buy it. These two will have a lot to overcome to get a happy ending. Watching the evolution of the relationship between these two was a treat.
This steamy romance is a roller coaster ride that will make you laugh, make you hot, and even make you shed a few tears. This is a book about true love, making mistakes and fighting for what you want.

This was my first read from this author and I enjoyed it. It was a good well written hot read. the plot was interesting and held my attention and while I really liked Blaine it did take me a while to warm to Lindie they were good together and had great chemistry, A super start to the series
Blaine Lindie what to say let’s see this is a romantic comedy / mystery. Blaine has guardianship over his nephews and wants to raise them on his old Family Farm but the new owner Lindie does not want to sell she wants to live her life peacefully with her barnyard animals. Once they meet these two characters come up with a no-strings-attached affair while Blaine still deviously is trying to figure out how to reclaim his family farm out from under Lindie although he has feelings for her. For the first half of the book his set track is to regain the property by any means. But there are people in the past that have come to finish what they started with Lindie now Blaine has to readjust his priorities he needs to keep his family safe and now that includes Lindie

All he wants is to buy the land that belonged in his family but the woman on the property refused to even contemplate his offer. Lindie was happy with her home and refused to allow anyone the privilege of removing her from the hard work she put in to it. Blaine was determined to get what he wanted he never expected the emotions her felt by being with Lindie. Will They come to a mutual agreement?

A steamy no-strings affair isn’t all it’s cracked up to be for a sassy egg seller and the sexy businessman trying to take her farm.
It was good but not great, I felt like Blaine could have been different. Lindie owns her beliefs and her sexuality.

The book was good but not great. I didn’t care fir Lindie because I think she was to hard. I’m all fir strong independent women but she had no softness to her. I did like the author and I will read more of her books.

Lindie doesn’t want to sell her property to Blaine. She prefer raising her chickens and selling her eggs.
She’s frank and owns her sexuality.
Blaine wants to buy her property and enters her property unannounced and catches her taking care of business.
He sees Lindie as the female version of him.
I felt he needed to be much more charming than he was.
