When Hannah, while on vacation with his five year old son in Cold Harbor, is attacked by a man, they almost drowned trying to scape him. But Gage is near the shore and save them both. Hannah is still in danger but can she trust Gage enough to keep her safe when he abandoned her in the past? An inspirational romantic suspense novel.
Susan Sleeman does an excellent job of developing her characters. You feel like you really come to know them.
loved the story, if you like suspense with some romance you will enjoy reading her books
Non-stop action, a real page-turner. Inspirational Christian suspense. I want more!
I discovered Susan Sleeman’s books about 3 months ago and she went into my top 5 favorite authors. Gut-wrenching suspense, page turner, strong characters but knows their own flaws. This is the first in a series and I’m definitely buying the rest of these books as soon as they are released.
A former boyfriend rescues Hannah and her son from stormy waters. He’s a retired Navy Seal that has his own protection/security company. When he finds that Hannah was in a rowboat with her small son, in a storm he doesn’t understand why. When she’s able she reveals someone tried to murder her. That’s in the first few pages and the suspense doesn’t let up from there. Action and a touch of romance, throw in a couple of cute kids and you will be hooked.
I received this book from the author will no expectations on my review. All opinions are my own and I highly recommend anything by Susan Sleeman. Her books are terrific reads and page turners. I’ve read 5 of her books and haven’t been disappointed in any of them and have left 5 star reviews on all of them. The first one I bought (e-book) and before I was half way through I bought 2 more. Absolutely love Suan’s writing style.
Suspense begins on page one and draws you in. Susan Sleeman weaves the story of Hannah and Gage, past and present, with the current danger to Hannah and her son. Protecting Hannah and David introduces Gage’s team and sets up the series. I will definitely be reading the Cold Harbor Series.
No! I can’t believe this story is over. It ended way too soon. Cold Terror by Susan Sleeman is the first in her Cold Harbor series. Hannah is on vacation with her five-year-old son when someone attacks her and almost kills her. She flees into the night only to have to be rescued from the angry waves of the lake by a man she thought she’d never see again. When Gage learns that Hannah is in danger he brings in Blackwell Tactical, his team of specialists, to protect her and her son. Will they be able to figure out who is after her before he gets too close? Susan again weaves a suspense filled story for her readers. From the very first page you were on the edge of your seat. I always love how she drops in the spiritual battles that the characters are going through; but she doesn’t overwhelm the story with it or cause the story to slow down. Her characters are always every-day, down to earth people that are believable characters. In the story I liked how Gage knew his limits and trusted his team to do their best to fill in t he gaps with their own special abilities. I can’t wait to read more about this team.
I received this e-book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
Note: I read this story in the Targeted for Danger multi-author series. Susan Sleeman is a new-to-me author, and I have to say she hit the right notes of intrigue, action, and romance, with a weaving of faith that had me hiding to the bathroom so I could finish this story without interruptions! Yes, that is probably TMI, but the story held my attention and drew me in until I had to know how it ended. I enjoyed Gage’s and Hannah’s relationship, along with that passionate kiss on the patio, their two sweet children, and the rest of Gage’s tactical team. Yes, I’ll be reading more of this author and the Cold Harbor series.
A riveting romantic suspense novella!
The development of both Hannah and Gage is wonderful. I love all the details that are given slowly throughout the story about the past relationship. It was great to meet all the members of Gage’s security team. I am looking forward to finding out more about each of them as each book in this series comes out.
The action in this book is fantastic. I was kept guessing about the details of the danger right up until the end of the story.
I received a free eBook copy of this novella from the author. I have chosen to write this review to express my personal opinion.
