This was a good paranormal/shifter read. I could have done without all the lovey dovey over and over again but otherwise a good read. Liam does act like a teenager at times instead of having lived for 80 years. Considering his age he should have handled things with Nara better. The whole falling in love once a child is born reminds me of Twilight and kind of creeps me out. Okay thats all the negative, now on to the good stuff. Shifters, you can’t go wrong!! It was good to see the packs come together. The love Nara and Liam share is one everyone wishes they had. The book is a quick, romantic, start to a series.

I really liked this. There was a lot going on story wise and one detail that was never explained that I wanted to know why to even though it didn’t come to pass, I also would love to see their reaction to Griffin’s part at the end. I would definitely recommend this and look forward to more in this series!
This was an interesting PNR book which brings us to Liam and Nara’s world of Lycans and werewolves. I really enjoyed it, although I admit I thought and hoped that Griffin’s story would go in a different direction. Liam was stubborn and at times made bad choices, but his love for Nara was undeniable. I’d love to see more stories about the other characters.
Silver Moon is a spinoff of the series Fight for Light by Nikki Landis. This book follows the wolves, shifters, who are descendants of the Nephilim. War is coming, and they must prepare. Liam has been in love with Nara since forever. But her father is not ready or willing to let her go. She’s been engaged for years to another, Ralen, but Ralen does not love her like that. He cares for her but he does not love her. After an attack, Nara begins to see Liam in a different light. She’s always viewed him more as a friend, but now things are changing between them. Liam has secrets from his past that he is keeping from Nara. Nara is already hesitant about things between them, but soon she will have no choice about where her path takes her.
I am an avid fan of paranormal romance novels, and when I saw this book I had high hopes. I thought that this story would give me some backstory about these shifters being descendants of the Nephilim, but that isn’t the case. This is, honestly, a very fast-paced romance novel. Things happen very quickly. One minute, Nara views Liam as just a friend of her brothers, a friend of the family, etc and then the next thing there is something between them and they’re mating. When the story slows down and is there, it’s an enjoyable novel to read. But there is a lot of chaos going on. Once things actually get established between Nara and Liam I like and enjoy the romance between them. There are a few surprises in this story, which I like. They help to keep the reader engaged.
My biggest issues with this story come from the pace. I feel that there are holes in the story. An example would be: one minute Nara is going to bed and then literally in the next chapter she’s in a tavern getting drunk and heading home. I feel like a chunk of the story is missing. Also, I feel that there are quite a few inconsistencies in the story and with the characters. One chapter Nara is a lightweight drinker, then a few chapters later she’s pregnant and drinking like a heavyweight. I didn’t like all the secret keeping on Liam’s part either. He went around hiding too much from Nara. He is an alpha, but that shouldn’t just give him carte blanche to do whatever, especially with this mate. I didn’t like his attitude half the time. He was much too arrogant. Then there were double standards with Nara as well. For me, all of these things severely flawed the story for me.
While this story is a spinoff from another series and can, loosely speaking, be read as a standalone, I’d recommend reading the other series first. The author touches on somethings with the princess who is soon to be queen, and I have no idea what is being talked about. I personally intend to read the Fight for Light series as soon as I am able so that I can get a better understanding of the other characters who are “minor” in this story.
I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. The story had a lot of potentials and I don’t feel that it fully measures up. I had hoped for a tie in with the Nephilim to be a central part of the story as well, but that is not the case. I’m really disappointed about this. I had high expectations and they weren’t met. The story shifts chapter to chapter to Liam, Nara, and Griffin. Liam and Griffin’s chapters are told in third person and Nara’s are told in the first person.
If you love paranormal romance and are a fan of Nikki Landis’s work, then I encourage you to check out this book.

Liam has known since the day she was born that Nara was his true mate. Yet on a sacred promise to her family to let her choose him herself, he has waited for forty years as her brother’s obnoxious friend and even seen her through a betrothal to another. But now that she’s free….hmm. Herein lies a great story about love, romance and shapeshifters.

When you finish a book and can’t stop saying “oh my gosh” repeatedly with a huge grin on your face you know that the book was amazing. Looking for a wolf shifter love story that has you on the edge from the beginning until the very end you’ll love this story. Liam and Nara are soulmates without a doubt and what it takes for them to be together is priceless. When you add Griffin into the pack you’ll be cheering them all on. There were moments I held my breath and couldn’t believe what I was reading and couldn’t move my eyes fast enough to see what was going to happen next. Happy tears and so much emotions are rolling round my head right now. I adored this book and highly recommend you grab a copy. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
This story is full of love. Nara and Liam truly belong together. The language Nikki uses to describe their romance is totally swoonworthy. In some ways, she makes you wish for the type of connection the Lycans enjoy once they’ve met their mate, or true match. The devotion they show one another is enviable.
There was so much happening in the book, it was hard to follow at times. I feel like the book could have been drawn out into a series so the conflict could have created a bit more emotion before it is resolved. With that said, I was on edge a few times, unsure of whether she was going to allow an HEA or not.
If shifters and paranormal romance is your thing, Silver Moon will be right up your alley!
