Chivalrous? Nah.Virtuous? Not since…well, none of your business. The difference between me and the Knights of the Round Table? I make medieval look good.Loren Van Alst is an independent, twenty-first-century woman, an accused forger, a suspected thief, and the last descendant of Sir Galahad of the Arthurian court. To claim her seat at the Round Table and protect her newly found family of … her newly found family of modern-day witches, she’ll need to convince the current Arthur and his knights to let a woman take the knights’ trials. But things go sideways when a crazed wizard goes on the loose with a magical spear that can strip a witch of her powers. As if that weren’t enough, the clique of mean girls from middle school arrives in Camelot and turn out to be witch hunters.
To safeguard a future she never knew she wanted, Loren will have to evade the hunters, defeat the wizard, capture the spear, and pass her trials. No one ever said becoming a kick-ass heroine would be easy!

This was an detail oriented and extremely entertaining view of Camelot and the magic wielding people in it. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next in the series!
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
Power to All Women!
I absolutely loved this well written book! Wonderful characters, each and every one. The mixture of current and medieval times is fabulously seamless. The strength and clumsiness work well to make the various scenes humorously side-splitting. I can’t wait to see what happens next to the first female knight in Arthur’s court! This book is a MUST READ that is great for YA and most other people, some mature “talk” but still a clean novel.
This is an awesome read I never read any of Ines Johnsons’s books before. When I opened up this book no clue what to expect but I definately wasn’t disapointed at all. I loved it from the moment I picked it up till the end. I never wanted to put it down now I am gonna read the rest of the serie I loved the book. I highly recommend this book and author to everyone.

Dame Galahad, a Knight of the Round Table? Oh most definitely a high five to that! This is her story and the start of her misadventures. Trying to fit into a world ruled by chivalrous immortals means proving she’s got what it takes, no matter what they throw her way! Loren is sassy, smart, strong willed and sexy. How can she not succeed? I loved reading this book!

Epic twist on an Arthurian tale in Camelot. I found out after reading this book that it is an offshoot from a different series which makes a little sense since there were several places that I was completely lost. There was plenty of snarky and witty dialog that kept this book moving at a quick pace.

As a whole I enjoyed the book. As I read I felt I was missing some things. Come to find out there is another series with Loren in it not as a main character though. Yes, this can be read without those but I kinda felt confused sometimes about her dying and stuff. I’m like huh? So, that explained it. I liked the funny little lines but sometimes I thought the author tried a little too hard to make it funny and it ended up falling a little flat at the jokes. Loren is an acquired taste. Her personality is different. She has a HUGE ego and thinks she doesnt need to do the work to make it to be a knight. She thought because she can fight and and kick butt, and who her parents were that it was just automatic. She was a bit bratty about that. However, there came a time where she was knocked down a few notches when her cousin got her because of her stupidity and said ego. Oh and another thing…she pretty much thought she was God’s gift to men. It was funny a time or two at the beginning but it started to grate after that. This book is missing something though. I mean there was character development which I think there needed to be a smidgen more about the other characters. The world building was interesting but kinda not always clear. I wanted more of a story line though. There really wasnt much to it. There was a lot of detail but not a lot of action which is what I expect from an Urban Fantasy. Its okay but I doubt I’ll read more.
This was a fun addition to the Jasmine Walt series. The writing was fun and added to the depth of the MFC. I really enjoyed reading what happened to her when she was separated from her best friend. This was a great and fun read.
Loren is just back from the dead and of course the discovery she descends from Galahad’s lineage. She is so trying to make a place for herself in Camelot but the boys are just so old fashioned. Then comes a new threat and Loren wants to show everyone her worth but she ends up learning something herself.
