Meet Carson Anderson, the cousin of the Presley brothers of Ransom Creek. Single males in need of a bride for a day? This is strictly an at your service business proposition. . . Do you need the eyes of a woman to help plan and/or set up an event with your personal interest and taste in mind, but with an added touch of your bride—if you had one—then call Bride for Hire and let me do the work… one—then call Bride for Hire and let me do the work…
Jilted twice Bella Reese has no plans to find out if three’s the magic number. She’s done with men. But she’s always loved the idea of being a bride, setting up house, planning parties making sure things are pretty and homey-the perfect nest for a home…and she’s determined not to give up on that dream. Six months after her final wedding fiasco she’s turned a new leaf and opened her business, Bride For Hire. So far she’s been amazingly busy with corporate events with no “homey” entering the equation. Until now…
After being jilted by his ex, Rancher Carson Anderson will never make the marriage mistake again. But now his daughter is turning four and he wants to make her fourth birthday special and redecorate his ranch house to make it more “homey” for a growing little girl. The irony of his situation is he lives on the outskirts of Bride Texas the legendary home of the jilted bride…a small town south of Fort Worth.
When his cousin Cooper Presley shows him the ad from a Fort Worth newspaper it’s everything he’s looking for—even the plainly stated—absolutely no romance involved. Carson makes the call.
It sounds like the perfect plan until he meets Bella.

I purchased a copy of the clean contemporary western short romance novel The Cowboy’s Bride for Hire aka Bride for Hire (Cowboys of Ransom Creek Book 2): Carson by Debra Clopton and this review was given freely.
Irony, humor, a cute little girl, interfering family, love at first sight and a happy ending. Divorced single father Carson finds more than he bargained for when he hires Bella Reese, the relationship challenged owner of Bride for Hire a strictly business entertainment planning and interior decorating business near Fort Worth, Texas, to redecorated his home in Bride, Texas in preparation for his daughter April’s 5th birthday.
Cute, clean book. A bit of romance. A nice light read.
Bride for Hire is the seventh book in the Bride, Texas Series. Both jilted by love in the past, Bella and Carson have vowed to avoid love again. After the failure of her last love venture, Bella turns her pain into success by opening Bride for Hire. Carson’s cousin found Bella’s ad and showed him this when he was looking for a way to make his daughter have the best fourth birthday. What will happen between Bella and Carson after she comes to help in his home? This was another great story by this author, and I highly recommend it!
Can two people who have been burned by love find a way to move forward and rekindle a new relationship? Or are there too many risks to chance it?
Bella Reese has been betrayed by a man not once, but twice. Now, she’s done with them and is determined to make a life for herself as a single woman. However, her passion is with decorating and party planning. Therefore, she decides to start a business called Bride for Hire where she helps create a “homey” atmosphere for her clients. So far, things have been going great. That is, until she’s hired by a handsome rancher from Bride, TX.
Rancher Carson Anderson knows firsthand what it’s like to have someone walk out on him. Divorced and raising his young daughter, April, he decides it’s time to decorate and create a fun living environment for her. So, when his cousin tells him about Bride for Hire, he decides to hire someone to make his house a home. What he didn’t expect was for the woman stepping out of her car to take his breath away. Suddenly, his decision doesn’t seem so good after all. Or, was it the best thing he’s ever done?
What follows is a sweet story of two damaged people resisting love because they’re scared of another repeat. What I liked about the story is that they were mature and honest about their feelings with each other. They each had a lot at stake and couldn’t afford another mistake.
Character development is good and I felt that the timeline worked sufficiently well. I’m hopeful that the author will branch off from this and write stories about Carson’s cousins.
