From New York Times Bestseller, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff, Comes OH, HENRY, Book Two of the Ohellno Series.(Stand Alone Story w/ Teaser for Book 3.)SHE’S GOT ME BY THE FOOTBALLS…My name is Henry Walton, and though I’ve been called many things throughout my life–tree trunk, moose, walrus–I am now six foot five, solid muscle, and the hottest defensive end in the NFL college draft. This is the moment … the NFL college draft. This is the moment I’ve been waiting for: fame, women, and glory.
Just one problem: I’m suddenly in a bad slump. And it started the moment I got dumped by Elle, the nerdy goddess with thick glasses, a smokin’ hot body, and a genius IQ.
So what gives? We only dated for a few weeks, and it’s not like I’ve missed her. (Much.) Regardless, all the facts point to one conclusion. Elle is my lucky nerd-charm.
Call me superstitious, but I have to get her back before I lose everything. Even if she’s the last girl I should want and she now hates my guts.

Henry has it all. Wealthy family, plays college ball (with the hopes of going pro) and has great fraternity brothers. For all that, he has his parents who are all about the money and they use it to manipulate their children. Mom and dad picked out a girl Henry is suppose to marry and planned his future with the family company. No pro ball for Henry if his dad has any say and it looks like his father might get his way if Henry can’t get his mojo back, and the woman he loves that they belong together.
I recommend it. It was a fast read full of suspense, sadness and angst with the message that love can conquer all obstacles
Mimi Jean is one of my favorites, and as always I really enjoy her books. If you haven’t read one, your in for a real treat. The story was great as well as the characters. Mimi knows how to keep you coming back for more. Enjoy!
Oh Henry, ohhellno book 2
I read a complimentary advance copy of this book which I have voluntarily reviewed.
So I adored hunter and tassie, but whilst reading their story there was Ella and Henry going on in the wings. I wanted to know what was happening and how it would unfold
. HURRAH!! For Book 2
I loved Henry from the get go and in this book we see him in depth, gone is the thought that he was ‘just a jock’ who has the looks, the wealth and the family connections.
Behind that smoke screen he is sweet, thoughtful and family orientated despite his dad being a total git. Then we have Ella, cute, superbrained, emotionally self repressed..they are perfect for each other.
Henry’s got his work cut out trying convince her of that.
Whilst fighting their own personal wars, asking for help, dropping their pride. fighting for their dreams.
Beautiful story, filled with laugh out loud moments and FEELS!!! I want book 3 NOW!!!
I did enjoy this story but it was very far fetched and unemotional. I was not going to continue with the series but it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I am intrigued as to what will happen.
Elle and Henry get their story! The geek and the jock! Enjoyable read about them finally deciding to be together. With a twist at the end to ensure you stay in your seats for book 3.
I just signed up for your newsletter after reading the second book in the ‘Oh Hell’ series. I am addicted to read more. Your writing style is easygoing but with so many of lifes funny and trying times. The snarky comments leave me laughing & reminds me of my bestfriend!
THIS.BOOK. Oh, my word. If I wasn’t laughing, I was swooning and then I wanted to slap both of them upside their heads with their absolute stupidity at times. I read Smart Tass before I read this and you could it for somewhat of an understanding in Elle and Henry’s relationship but it can be a stand alone. But hey, it’s Mimi Jean so you NEED to read their book, too. Mimi Jean just gets college aged people. She doesn’t throw a bunch of unnecessary angst in their stories but she does manage to throw some twists in their stories that are very realistic and relatable.
Henry and Elle both have very serious family situations going on in their lives. Elle’s is rather sad and Henry’s is just UGH! I won’t go into either one of them right now but they do intersect and the sacrifices that one of them makes made me sad and mad at the same time. I will go ahead and tell you that Elle and Henry’s story isn’t finished. The cliffy/teaser at the end is a doozy and I have to wait until next year (I think) to see what happens. I’m not a happy person but that’s Mimi Jean for you and I love her all the same.
You will love how Henry and Elle relate to each other regardless of the so-called “class” of what defines on campus. She’s brilliant and he’s the jock bound for the NFL. The truths about sororities and frats is so true. I never pledged just because of it. Ugh but Mimi Jean nailed it. Everything she wrote in this book and Smart Tass is dead on and at times cringe worthy. And then you have the laugh out loud moments, too. Plus, smexy times. Oh yes, this book is a lot more sexy than Smart Tass and I won’t tell you the reason either. You just need to read this book. Trust me on this.
Overall, I bow to Mimi Jean’s brilliance. She gets it and owns it. You will fall in love with Henry and want a Oh Henry afterwards.
They Say Opposites Attract.
Henry Walton is the golden boy defensive end born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Elle is the smart girl that doesn’t care about social stigmas.
They couldn’t be more different and yet one raffle ticket ushers in 2 weeks of bliss, only to be ended by their own self sabotage. Nothing is what it seems, and neither one has the perfect life the other one believes. In order to move past the misery of their own making they will not only have to change their own thinking but also will have to be open to the possibility they might just be made for each other.
The story of Henry and Elle is full of wit, snark, and misunderstandings. Some hilarious, and some painful in their realism.
A fun fast read with some heavy storylines mixed in, Oh Henry is the second book of Author Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s nerd/jock OHellNo series. This book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series, however there are things happening in this book in the background that you see the scenes firsthand in the first book, Smart Tass.
Henry Walton is an incredibly talented and rich young college football star with dreams of going pro, with a control freak of a father who is determined for Henry to get with the program and come work for him after college. Elle was a child prodigy who is going to college only to honor her dying mother’s final wishes that she get a college education when she catches Henry’s attention by winning a date with him and she instead manages to unexpectedly charm him and get under his skin before unceremoniously dumping him.
When Henry’s football mojo leaves him, his superstition leads him to believe that ELLE was his good luck charm and he desperately works to get her back, pulling put an arsenal of teddy bears, kittens, and even an ill advised public performance with a mariachi band to win her heart before he’s benched from the team, ruining his professional football dreams.
Can Henry convince geek goddess Elle he loves her in time to save his career, can he help save her mother with an experimental cancer treatment from a pharmaceutical company owned by his family in time? And what’s the deal with the NAKED YOGA?!?!?!
Find out the answers to these questions and more if you pick up Oh, Henry!
While not usually my typical read, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is always one of my go-to authors, so this rom-com series is definitely at the head of the list.
Our college students, Henry and Elle are on again, off again let’s just have fun, until they’re not. The geek and the jock know how to bring out the best in each other, know how to make each other laugh and know how to have fun together, until the realities of life and personal tragedies makes them stop and think. The geek is sassy and snarky and definitely a worthy opponent to our self absorbed, clueless jock…their banter and interactions are priceless.
I laughed and cried for our young couple…Henry, dealing with unrealistic parental expectations all in an effort to kill his dreams and Elle, living an unwanted and unfulfilling life to please others. I loved watching them grow and evolve, and realizing how much better they were together when they communicated with honesty and decided to become a team. Nothing the matter with good friends (Hunter & Tassie, from book #1) to stand by you and give you a pep talk when you need it, or good old fashioned motherly advice. I absolutely love the cast of side characters in this series. Mimi left us with a bit of a cliffie at the end of this one, so I have a feeling we’ve not seen the last of these two, there will definitely be some unfinished business to resolve.
