**I received a copy of The Heart Breaker from the author in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**
The Heart Breaker by Tara L. Ames is her second book of her Alpha Aviators series and I can’t wait for the next one. Her books will always be a One click purchase for me and if I could give her more than 5 stars I would.
Sabine Reynolds is part of a joint NASA, Navy and XLT project but the numbers just aren’t coming out right but her dilemma is who to trust with the corrected calculations? When she meets Luke Hasting, who is one of the co-owners of JD’s Bar in Key West it’s Insta attraction towards them. He saves her from some rowdy bikers that will be one of many saving her from unexplained incidents. Little does he know that someone will do anything to prevent Sabine from telling someone that there’s a flaw in the project that if not corrected would be fatal. But will he be able to save her when she’s kidnapped? Also when Sabine and Luke give into their attraction, her boss, Celeste becomes a jealous person. Trust me Sabine is no shrinking violet, she’ll do anything to escape.
Luke Hastings is Navy instructor pilot as well as being assigned to the same joint project as Sabine. But when he sees her at the bar, he doesn’t hesitate to save her from the bikers. But what he doesn’t know is that Sabine has a golden rule of not dating pilots as her twin brother died trying to save a SEAL Team under fire. When Sabine has a diving accident looks very suspicious, he’ll do anything to get to the bottom of why this is happening. When she gives him an ultimatum to deal with his PTSD and the death of his brother will he be able to so that they can see if what they have is everlasting? I guess you’ll have to read the book to find out.
“I may have rescued you, but you saved me…I’m doing everything you’ve asked because a life without you in it, isn’t worth much.”
Smexxy Navy Pilot Luke Hastings has a troubled past, and his coping mechanism is hooking up with beautiful women with no strings attached. One night stands and bartending help keep the demons at bay, but he still feels an emptiness in his soul that just can’t be filled. That is until aerospace engineer Sabine Reynolds walks into his bar. She captures his eye, and awakens something within him he thought was long dead. Sabine is working on a top secret project with the Navy that turns deadly, and Luke is her knight in shining armor.
Luke and Sabine’s chemistry is off the charts, and I could not put this book down! “The Heart Breaker” is the second in Tara Ames’ Alpha Aviators series, but can be read as a standalone. Highly recommend this romantic suspense that will keep you reading past your bedtime!
High stakes, brilliant heroine, men in uniform. This one has it all!
This is the second book in the series but each book can be read as a stand alone. Luke Hastings is trying to bury what happened in his past the only way he knows how – work and woman. It helps he’s a Navy Instructor Pilot and co-owner of JD’s Seafood Bar & Grille where he’s got woman are eating out of his hands. He isn’t one looking to settle down. He’s happy just moving from one woman to the next and, with his good looks, he has no problem getting what he wants. The only problem is the next morning he doesn’t wait around. It helps him forget for a short time. But all that changes when one night Sabine Reynolds walks into the bar. Luke can’t keep his eyes off this woman and when some bikers decide to try their luck, Luke jumps to her defence. He tries to keep his distance but it’s harder than he thought. He can’t get Sabine out of his mind. A pleasant story that keeps you ingrossed
