What an absolutely amazing book. Lexi did such an amazing job with this book. Lexi is fast becoming one of my favorite authors & I could not stop listening to this book. Sarah & Troy did an awesome job narrating.
This is the third book in this fascinating series and have to say it’s my favourite so far.
In this one, we finally get to find out more about Lizzie Watkins, best friend of Stas and unknown classified experiment,
Jayson an ancient Hydraian elder is the one tasked with babysitting duties while all else join forces to try and decipher the best way to keep Lizzie safe and protected while also trying to discover just what she actually is.
Jay’s charge is off limits which only makes her more irresistible to him and while he tries his hardest to damp down his natural inclinations around her spending so much time with his Red only makes him fall deeper down that rabbit hole.
So When Lizzie’s eyes are cruelly opened to the paranormal world she has been oblivious to, she naturally is devastated at the betrayal of the people she thought cared about her.
Losing all trust in those she thought had her corner.
So this one was really emotional, Lizzie has really had a number done on her in regards to her own worth and self-esteem.
It doesn’t help that Jay while falling deeply for her is also on his own path of self-discovery, monogamy is new to him and while he did behave himself here his naturally flirtatious manner has been ingrained into him and its almost second nature to him now.
His manner around the ladies though harmless causing him to unintentionally damage Lizzies fragile emerging trust.
What I liked about Jay though was when he realised this he took steps to rectify the hurt he had caused by his unthinking actions.
This one was also the hottest in terms of content and I just adored Jay’s take charge attitude.
I could really feel the connection between Lizzie and Jay there chemistry projected off the page.
They made a great pair.
And In terms of surprises, this one really was Jam-packed and I really am super intrigued now to see where this all is heading.
I Love this series so much it really is a great read with some fantastic imaginative world-building.
This one definitely gets the seal of approval.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Blood Heart (Immortal Curse, #3).

This story keeps on growing in breadth. We get to learn about yet another couple within Lexi’s world in the Immortal Curse series. It is starting to feel like I am a part of a familiar society where I could wave hello to my next door neighbour.
In this instalment we explore the story of Stas’ best friend Lizzie, but also one of the stronger characters, the elder, Jayson. A shameless spy that turns into an admirer with a guilty conscience. Jayson’s simple assignment to infiltrate Lizzie’s life and find out more about Stas, kicks him in the butt and becomes a serious love engagement.
So we have read about the ecstatic connection between Isaac and Stas and we have read about the duty inspired relationship of Tom and Amelia, and this time we get to read about Jayson and Lizze. This romance I would say is completely different to the formers in the sense that he feels more protective of her due to a love that could be compared to that of a childhood sweetheart even if it isn’t. Lexi makes it feel like they have been a couple for a long time and that they belonged together from the beginning, as if it would have been written in the stars. The characters are interesting individuals overall that you feel like you would want to know in reality and therefore you feel you want to know more about what they will do next. Like slapping Baltazor on his hands again for reading your mind.
The continuity of the story is captivating where you are eager to learn a new piece of the puzzle you have already started to build. The story line where the hero goes ballistic when the villain takes his love hostage keeps you reading and wanting to know how it ends. How will the hero resolve a situation, which seems impossible to work out in a happy ending? I just needed to turn the pages to find out.

This book, I’m not even sure where to start. I’m still crying just thinking about it. This was one emotional roller coaster, soooo much happened in just this book, but also it was so much stuff that accumulated over the course of this series thus far. Some questions got answered but I still have so many and for the few that did get answered I just ended up having more. These characters are amazing, Jayson is probably one of my favorite characters so far in this series (note that I said ONE of ), and Lizzie ended up being a super awesome character as well. This was again another amazingly well written book by Lexi C. Foss and I can not wait to read more!!
*Received copy in return for honest review, all opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this review*
YASSSS! Now this is what I’m talking about. Blood Heart, the third book in this series, took me back to why I fell in love with the first book, amazing world building, heart pounding action, and above all, the fabulous interaction of all the key characters.
I was entertained and enthralled. Life for this group keeps moving forward as they’re catapulted closer and closer to the imminent battle. Shocking secrets are being revealed, enemies rooted out and alliances strengthened but in a world where everything isn’t exactly what it seems, it’s hard to separate friend from foe. I can’t wait to find out is my suspicions pan out. Keep it coming Lexi!
4.5 stars
This series is a perfect blend of HFN and buckle up buttercup, it ain’t over yet.
I’m captivated by these characters, their bonds, and this world that has surprises at every turn.
Ezekiel…hmmm, what are you up to?
Sethios, where did you come from?
Isaac and Stas, I say don’t lose hope, I think we can fix this.
The really bad guys are still on the loose!
And a bachelor party, really? No matter how old they are, boys will be boys.
Foss has an easy writing style that carries you away in the flow and emotions of the story, it was really tough to put this one down. I’m extremely ready for more.
Again this book grabbed me from page 1. Jayson falls under Lizzie’s spell right away. He is chosen to watch/protect her. Wow! This book is full of suspense and adventure! It has some very romantic sections. Made me want to get some New York Pizza. Can not wait to start the next book. From a New Fan… Pam James.
I have to say, Blood Heart is probably my favorite of the series so far!
Secrets that have been kept for so long are exposed.
Friendships are broken.
Allies are discovered.
And war is on the horizon.
Elizabeth was raised by cold parents who have molded her to be the perfectly polite daughter. Since losing her childhood crush she feels more alone than she ever has before. Her best friend and roommate insists on working for the company that she deems has ruined her childhood and has been distant in a way that makes her feel as if she’s alone in the world with nobody.
Jayson is the Immortal Elder assigned to watch over Elizabeth and determined how the CRF is interfering in her life. But there’s just an innate goodness and innocence to Elizabeth that has drawn Jayson in. He’s never experienced or understood how men could stand only one woman for the rest of their immortal existence, but Elizabeth is finally making him understand and crave it for himself.
When everything comes to head lives are turned upside down. Relationships are broken and put to the limits and Elizabeth will discover her entire existence has been one big experiment.
After the Elders are told about a CRF file on Lizzie, they decide she needs protecting. Jayson is assigned to watch her. He needs to get close. Intimately close. Lizzie is frustrated with her new upstairs neighbor and decides she’s gonna get him. She never expected a godly supermodel to answer the door. Insert drooling.
I am utterly and completely in love with this series!!!! Jay and Lizzie’s story is just as fascinating and intriguing as the others! I want more of these amazing books!! If you haven’t read them yet, order Blood Laws RIGHT now and jump into this kick butt series, you will NOT be disappointed!!!
Lexi C Foss has very quickly become one of my absolute favourite go to authors, so I’ve been excitedly waiting for Blood Heart, book three in her fabulous Immortal Curse pnr series. I know now what I’m going to get, a wonderfully written story with depth, detail, characters who grow and develop, twists, turns, revelations and jaw dropping heartfelt moments, tears, red hot passion and humour. This book is no exception, I loved it and devoured it from cover to cover.
Following the events from the previous book, immortal Hydraian elder Jayson Masters (Jay) has been sent to watch and learn the secret of who and what Lizzie Watkins is. She is strictly off limits to him, but he quickly finds he needs to get closer to achieve his goal. She’s been brought up as the rich, seemingly spoilt society girl, but he discovers so much more than meets the eye. Her innocence, sadness and sweet nature draws him in to the web of secrets surrounding her. When a dangerous Ichorian from his past takes an interest in both Lizzie and her roommate Stas, Jay and his allies are going to have to be on top of their game to survive what threatens to rip them apart.
I love it when you can hate the bad guys as much as love the good guys (and my heart certainly beats hard for Jay and Lizzie), but here there are so many shades of grey in between the black and white, you never know what to expect next. That’s a huge part of why I love Lexi’s books, they are not predictable, not for me anyway! Beloved characters are in abundance alongside the despicable and some new, very intriguing ones were introduced into the mix. Questions are answered but oh wow there are a few major new ones that need answering. It’s like torture having to wait, but wait I will for the next installment because I absolutely love this series and the raw emotions it draws from me.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you love PNR, action, humour, sexiness and a brilliant story that snags your heart and won’t let go, I can totally recommend this, but start at book one (Blood Laws) as you wouldn’t want to miss a thing.
