Amaya Taneka from Kyoto, Japan, is a violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra until photos of her entering a BDSM club in Amsterdam surface and she is fired. With her world imploding, Amaya flees to Pleasure Island for some much-needed R&R, and to avoid the circus her life has become. She’s not interested in starting a relationship. In fact, she’s not even certain she is going to play in … in the club. She just wants to lie on the beach and not think. When she thinks, she feels – and that hurts.
Alpha Dom Jax Holiday, bassist for the world famous band The Harbingers, and his partner, Lachlin O’Toole, have just finished a hellish world tour. They are taking a long overdue break before they head back into the studio to record their next album. Jax is jazzed about spending the next two weeks on Pleasure Island and playing with all the pretty subs he and Lachlin can convince to join their love play.
When the duo spy the lovely Amaya on the island, they both realize she was the one who got away. The three had spent a passionate night together at the Dungeon Fantasy Club almost a year previously and neither Dom had forgotten her sweet cries of submission.
Amaya is surprised to run into Jax and Lachlin. When they try to connect with her, she falls apart, as both her heart and her soul are broken. At Amaya’s downward spiral, Jax and Lachlin set out on a campaign to convince the beautiful submissive to emerge from her depression, to lean on them for love and support, and to allow them to help her rebuild her world.
Will Lachlin be able to convince Jax that adding Amaya to their relationship is for the best? And can Amaya be brave enough to surrender and fully submit her heart to two Doms who want to become Her Music Masters?
Publisher’s Note: This is the second book in Anya’s bestselling Pleasure Island series; however, it can also be enjoyed as a standalone.

This book is so steamy and emotional.
I can’t tell you how much I love this book! It made me sob and melt to pieces all through it.
Again, this book deals with the BDSM lifestyle and it’s many, many variations so if that’s not for you… don’t read this book. But if you are looking for a love story that will break your heart and mend it again then, by all means, read this book! This is an amazing book about a woman who hits rock bottom, through no fault of her own, and the healing she gets from two unique men.
When violinist Amaya’s life takes a significant turn for the worse, she escapes to Pleasure Island to hide away from the world. Jared, the founder of Pleasure Island, has had it with little sub Amaya, though, after awhile. She’s been hiding out and not interacting with the rest of the island. When Lachlin and Jax, two Doms she had a hot night with previously, hear of this, Lachlin immediately wants to try his hand at bringing her back to her previous passionate, sassy self. But, Amaya’s not the same woman, not the same sub, she was back then. She’s numb and depressed and feeling worthless after being fired by the orchestra, then disowned by her family. Lachlin has always had tender feelings for her, and seeing her again has brought them all back. But, how will his lover and best friend, Jax, react to the news that Lachlin wants to bring a permanent third into their relationship? Even one they had a passionate, sensual night with before? Jax reacts as per the usual – all for it sexually, but emotionally? Yeah not so much. That’s the main, really, only, problem I had with Her Music Masters, that Jax’s connection with Amaya never seemed to be strong, certainly nothing like the one he shared with Lachlin.
Though Lachlin and Jax do indeed engage Amaya, finally, in some hot encounters, nothing seems to be working. She’s still holding herself back from them, not giving them her true submission. She’s thawed a little, but she’s still not back to her old self. It doesn’t help that neither man can agree on how to truly help her. The sex is seriously steamy, (lots of MM and MMF and MF) yes, but it wasn’t reaching Amaya’s frozen heart, deep inside where her true self lay. And when Jax storms off after throwing a fit, I was seriously wondering if this trio was going to make it. Thank God someone(s) finally got their head out of their rear, though, and came back and the three were able to work Amaya’s demons out, and Jax and Lachlin were able to bring her permanently into their relationship.
I did like Her Music Masters. It’s the steamiest so far of Anya Summers’ work that I’ve read, and Amaya’s and Lachlin’s characters really resonated with me, especially Amaya’s, but Jax was a negative for me. Hence the 4 stars rather than 5. I just never connected to him or liked him. He was a bit one note – all alpha dom without the big heart that Lachlin had. Lachlin was a much more well rounded character I thought. He was more a switch than a true Dom, but I liked that about him. And Amaya’s character was really, really layered. Unfortunately, Jax was an off note in this otherwise seriously sexy, emotionally rewarding story.
Jax, Lachlin and Amaya make an interesting trio and an interesting story. Amaya has had a life altering event that has stripped her of her job, her home and her family. She comes to the island to hide out and regroup. She is drowning in her depression and is to afraid to ask for help from anyone. Jax and Lachlin are a long term couple but Lachlin is feeling restless. He loves Jax with all of his heart but he wants to add a third to their mix and start a family. Jax is afraid he is losing Lachlin and is trying to hold on tight, really tight, to their duo relationship. They are all suffering with abandonment issues. They embark on a journey together and if they can heal each other they will become one and have forever love. Can Amaya fully submit to Jax and Lachlin? Will Jax realize that it is possible to have it all and not lose Lachlin? Will Lachlin fight for the family he wants? Can they all find peace, love and happiness together? One click and find out.

This is a hot book. I do love BDSM books, but this book didn’t have a lot of that, and what there was seemed to be rushed over. Most of the book was steam – but almost too much – one session following another – too unrealistic – found I skipped over so of that. But this is book 2 in the Pleasure Island series and I will keep reading. Hoping to learn more about these 2 DOMS as they seem interesting but not a lot of depth into their characters in this book.
Jax and Lachlin have a good thing going, but is it enough? After sharing an intensely erotic night with Amaya in Scotland, Lachlin is determined to add her to their lives and start with a family of three. Jax isn’t quite ready to risk everything he has, but the chemistry between these three is a force of nature that won’t let any of them walk away. Amaya has her own reasons for taking things slow, if only Jax and Lachlin weren’t so completely irresistible!
I love the Pleasure Island spin-off; the setting is absolutely dreamy and the characters are free to really let loose and enjoy themselves. Having the entire island dedicated to the club, rather than just the secret basement of Declan’s manor in Scotland, lets the participants live the lifestyle 24/7 without the usual fear of publicity. As with the author’s other books, the erotic scenes are scorching hot and will leave you breathless. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
If you even ask herself the question is there such a “thing as to many sex scenes in a book” then the answer for this book is yes. This book had a lot of potential with the characters and what happened to Amaya, but it gets buried into one sex scene after another.
