For anyone else who wants to scratch their itch for reality tv love stories (and drama) outside of Monday night episodes of The Bachelor, this book was tons of fun and exactly what I wanted! On her first day on the job as a production assistant on tv show “Ever After”, Paige discovers that her steamy hookup from the night before is the show’s “suitor” (bachelor)—and her current job & future career prospects in television rely on Paige getting him to fall in love with the women on the show. I thought this was a fantastic premise, and Hot Bachelor totally delivered!
I really enjoyed this flirty, funny and sexy story. My guilty pleasure is watching reality dating shows, so I was thrilled with this storyline. I absolutely loved Paige and Dash; they were both so lovable.
This was a great story. Good meet up with a great cast of characters. Guess after reading this I know what I don’t watch the Bachelorette or the Bachelor.
Loved it, the twists, the ending and all in between. Couldn’t put it down!
DASH ???
A must read
Paige and Dash were great characters. They were funny, witty and the chemistry between them was great. They met by chance, were interrupted in the middle of hooking up just to meet again and find themselves in an unwanted situation. It was had several funny situation and a bevy of supporting characters. I loved Savannah the sweetheart, hated Kimmie the manipulative bitch, and Dash’s friend (the Frenchman), Paige’s friend who got her the job was a good loyal friend their were many more characters but those stood out the most to me. Paige’s sister Penny ended up helping Paige find her HEA. I love when I laugh out loud during a book. It was a good book and I was happy with the ending.
Very good read!
This book was great.. Funny!!!!
Could not finish it-poorly developed characters — boring
True love wins out.
Funny, romantic and a real good read. Good Look behind the Scene of Reality-TV-Shows
Really fun book. Loving this series…even it the women start out with “how could he ever like a girl like me” complexes. The men are charming and sexy and they worship their heroines. Fun settings (this one is a reality TV show) that are not terribly relatable but more fun for being fantastic.
I really liked how this story began with the flight being diverted we learnt a lot about Paige and Dash and then they went on the small road trip and I really enjoyed it. I loved the banter between Dash and Paige it really did make laugh and it was some of my favourite parts of the book.
I also really liked that we got to see behind the scenes of the television programme and the set it was so interesting and because I obviously have a degree in theatre and media it was even more interesting to me. I loved seeing how it worked and it added to the story I really did enjoy it.
I really liked how we discovered the reason why Dash was doing the programme and I liked how we learnt about each of them. And how information was revealed to the reader. I liked how Paige and Dash built their relationship. The actual getting together of Paige and Dash was very fast and slow burning they kept getting interrupted and it was so entertaining watching the frustration from both characters. I really liked Paige as a character being head strong and knowing what she wanted but also not willing to sacrifice her morals to get what she wanted. I really loved that about her. The romance between Dash and Paige I loved how they could banter with each other so much and how they built their relationship after their initial meeting. I just loved it. I wish we could have gotten to know more about them as people, it would have been a 4-5 star review if that was the case. But overall a good fun loving read! I’ll definitely be reading more from Katie McCoy!
I really loved how Paige stuck up for Dash even though they weren’t together at the time. Which was obviously that although she could have had a promotion instead she stuck up for him against the producers of the programme and I really liked that. I also loved the way that they said I love you to each other.
While I am not a fan of reality TV, I did love Katie McCoy’s Hot Bachelor. The premise of the star of a “The Bachelor” type show falling for one of the crew is great, and the way they meet and get involved is even better.
How did I love Hot Bachelor? Let me count the ways:
I loved Paige’s tenacity and spirit. From page one on, this fiery redhead jumps off the pages and into your life. Her spunky attitude gave me reason to smirk and chuckle throughout the book. This woman was not going to let a little motion sickness, fear of flying or a plane-grounding storm get in the way of her getting her dream job.
I loved the unseemly depiction of the “reality” behind reality TV show productions. The staged drama, the payoffs to staff for helping the drama along, and the acting. Maybe I should disparage less about reality TV having an Emmy category! On second thought, that might be going too far. However, Ms. McCoy’s depiction of the “Ever After” television show production is pure gold.
I loved the ending. I generally don’t like my romances saccharine or the ending to be wrapped up unrealistically, but the Hot Bachelor’s ending worked for me. Both Paige and I were swept off our feet.
You’re probably wondering who did the sweeping. Well, it could easily have been Jean Luc, Dash Hennessy’s racing buddy. The sexy Frenchman added a little “ooh la la” to his few scenes. Perhaps you’ve guessed that Dash Hennessy, retired Formula One driver turned reality show hottie, stole the show and all the ladies hearts. Dash is certainly a charming leading man. Handsome, ripped, fun and flirtatious, he could easily be thought of as a player seeking fame, but he is a grounded gentleman. At least he was until Paige turned his heart upside down.
The bevy of contestants and producers provide raunchy drama to the set of Ever After, and they are great love-them or hate-them additions to the “cast” of Hot Bachelor. Ms. McCoy made me feel like I was actively engaged in a reality TV program. I was almost ready to cast my vote or tweet about certain contestants’ behavior!
Hot Bachelor is fun, funny, and romantic. It hit the spot—the right story at the right time. I really enjoyed this entertaining read that is just as much about the disingenuous theatrics of reality TV as it is about love.
Cute and fun. I enjoyed the meet cute. Not much angst, which I loved. HEA you have to make up yourself in a way but I enjoyed that part too
Paige and Dash are heating up the Hamptons with their steamy scenes of chock full of passion. Paige is fresh off her London summer of fun and now is headed off to start a dream job working on the reality dating show Ever After. Now she just has to make it before filming starts! When her plane emergency lands in Ohio she is hopeless stranded until the hottie from 4C saves her bacon with a ride to NY. What was supposed to be an innocent lift turns into a tension charged ride culminating in her and Dash almost making it a one heck of a ride. When she finally arrives on set she is surprised to discover just who she will be helping find his lady love… none other than Dash Hennessey himself. Why a handsome, rich, and famous guy like him would resort to a reality dating show she has no idea but she knows she will have to ignore the burning chemistry they have. Dash is in quite the jam. After his manager decided to treat his bank account like his own personal playground, Dash is compelled to sell out to this circus to keep his parents from losing their home and hopefully stay afloat till his swarmy manager can be found. On his way to the Hamptons, he meets a fiery Angel who sets him ablaze. Too bad he is contractually obligated to Ever After, because something about Paige has him wishing he could just date one woman not twenty.
This is a very well written original story with great characters and flow!! Really enjoyed! Katie McCoy has become a favorite author!!
