Halloween LaVeau is descended from a long line of witches. Yes, her name is Halloween. The cosmic universe is definitely playing some kind of sick joke on her. She’s the ultimate witch cliché, complete with a black cat and spooky house. Thank heavens she’s missing the warts and flying broom.
From bestselling author, Rose Pressey, comes , the first book in an all new series!
When Halloween … an all new series!
When Halloween inherits her great-aunt’s manor, she decides to put the house to good use as a bed-and-breakfast. Her first guest is the sinfully good-looking Nicolas Marcos, but he’s not here for the continental breakfast. Halloween discovers a ratty old book in the attic. It’s written in an unfamiliar language.
Halloween soon learns this is not an ordinary spellbook. The tome brings her a new talent, but her new skills come with a catch. When a rival witch comes after the book, Halloween doesn’t know who to trust–the sexy vampire who says he wants to save the day, or the warlock who says he can destroy the book once and for all.

A cute story for Halloween.
Fantastic read
fun read
Not very interesting, too much back forth hoping around.
Jumps all over the place with the characters.
I had also bought the audible version, it’s even worse.
And to top it off I bought all 3 books in the series.
A mistake for sure.
If your looking for a cute and light read this is the book for you.
Not a good book, but not bad either. Probably great for young adults.
Good book for teenagers
I had to stop.
The perennial trope of: heroine inherits big gorgeous home full of gorgeous antiques, and two tall gorgeous men suddenly appear and fight over her. Ugh.
She starts a bed and breakfast but she can’t cook. Huh?
If she’s so sensitive to smells (another trope — everyone can identify all sorts of subtle fragrances, why can she only …
I love all books written by this author.
A wonderful book of… Who are you? with a dash of you’re who? and a lot why? Great cast of characters with twists that you though you had figured out but you didn’t. Great read with a OMG!!! I have got to get the next book! Very enjoyable read.
Did not like it
I enjoyed this light-hearted paranormal mystery. A few twists and turns and several “I didn’t see that coming” occasions. I liked this enough to get the next book in the series. This book does end on a kind of “to be continued” event but can be read alone. The story is continued in the next book.
This was a quick and fun story
This was a funny, original story. The heroine reminded me of one of my best friends with her accidentally fudgeing things up.
No surprises but a fun read nonetheless.
A fun and witty book. Easy to read. I look forward to the next in this series.
I loved the series.
I found I never warmed to the characters.
