Lauren’s gap year is supposed to be about making extra money and figuring out what to do with the next phase of her life. Realistically, it’s a break between taking care of her alcoholic brother and certified insane mother. She deserves to have some fun, and to find trouble. However, trouble follows Lauren, with its wicked sense of humor, and thought it would be fun to gift her two love … love interests, who happen to be rivals.
Her first gift is Jackson. Along with his notorious reputation, he is a cocky, self-righteous, sexy-as-hell actor, who doesn’t take no for an answer. They meet while he’s filming in her small town near New Orleans.
Cary is her second bequest. While he is equal in fame, looks, and fortune, his brotherly intentions toward Lauren are heartfelt. That’s the problem.
Two totally different men, with their own unique brand of trouble. But, they both have one thing in common, and Lauren will find out it isn’t only her.

This is the first book in the White Carpet series. I thought it was a wonderful read. It was very interesting. It was well written. It had a good storyline. It was a page turner.
The Devil Has A British Accent by ZN Willett
Lauren, a young lady leaves her home town in the South to go to highschool comes home after graduation to work out where she wants to go from here, to go to college or not.
In the mean time takes a job with her mothers best friend as a catering assistant at a movie production.
Lauren’s family has its issues, her brother a talented musician is drowning in alcohol, her mother in a mental institution and her father dead.
Enter Blake’s best friend Cary who Lauren has had a crush on for most of her life and Jackson, the hot movie star that has fallen hard for Lauren.
Both love Lauren but are hiding big secrets!
A story of angst, family and love and throw in the secret, makes a very interesting read.
ZN has created a story where it’s believable and relatable with a twist, well paced and well written.
There is much more to come and I for one am looking forward to this ride ZN is taking me on
First time reader and PNR is not my genre, however I quite enjoyed this story. It does end oddly, I was expecting another book and from what I see there isn’t one. The storyline was engaging and the characters were well thought out.
Lauren returns to New Orleans when she finishes high school. Not sure what direction to take next she decides to use the time to make some choices before locking herself into college. Her brother Blake is the front man for a band and his best friend Carey who is like her brother is a famous musician. She has always had feelings for Carey but is not sure he sees her in the same light. While in New Orleans she is working with the caterers on a production sight. This is where she meets Jackson the leading actor and they become involved but it’s a complicated arrangement at best. There is no love lost between Carey and Jackson and jealousy, warnings and lots of anger between the triangle.
I gave this Book a rating of 5 ’s

Strong storyline, incredible world building
A FIve star read!
The first few chapters contain a lot of character building as well as setting up the tone for the story –
I will warn – pay attention to the little things in the first couple chapters – because later in the story you will wish you had! That is the only spoiler I am giving – because once we “think we knew who is who and what is going on-
Willett lets go and I have to say –
Lock your seatbelts and place your trays in the upright position – you are in for some turbulence
I never saw most of the twists coming and even now I am not sure in which direction the story or even Lauren is going to go –
I honestly can’t blame her – I have trouble choosing between the two lead males myself – excellent lead characters!
I am eagerly awaiting the next book!
