It started out fine, but never got better. The characters were almost all unlikable, and sadly the romantic leads I ended up hoping would get justice for their cruelty and stupidity rather than a happily ever after. I only liked some of the servants, which had minor roles.
Interesting plot but stilted dialogue and obvious plot devices made this book just okay.
