This is the first book I have read by Nikki Lynn Barrett.
Lizette Monroe and her twin Nola had been devastated after their parents’ death. Their mother was killed by a stray bullet and their father died two weeks later from a heart attack. The twins are practically heiresses, they have lots of money. You have Nola who was normally vibrant but, became agoraphobic after their parents death. Then you have Lizette whose ex-fiancee jumped on a reality TV show and making more drama for her. Nola likes to enter sweepstakes and then Nola won a sweepstakes to Paris and it seemed like a perfect chance for Lizette to get away from all the drama, except one thing she had to impersonate Nola. Then Nola and Lizette discover the winner is actually going to Paris, Tennessee, not Paris France. Lizette is at the airport waiting to be picked up. Nola’s best friend Dirk Ramsey from her childhood is the person who is suppose to pick up the contest winners. Well it turned out that Dirk Ramsey is in Paris, Tennessee helping his uncle build the town back up after several storms damaged the town. Dirk’s company helped fund the contest to get people to Paris, Tennessee. There is no sex scenes in this book but, that was okay as this book really didn’t need it as, there was a lot of mysteries going on, that kept me hooked on the book. Does Lizette tell Dirk the truth?? What will happen between Dirk, Lizette and Nola?? To find out you really need to read this book. This book is a bit of a cliff hanger and now I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I truly loved this book!!
Look alikes in hair, builds, eyes but sooo different
in personality.
Meet Lizette and Nola Monroe, identical twin sisters.
They are both from a very wealthy family.
After losing their mother to a stray bullet, they were
not prepared for the death of their father so soon
after that incident. Now the twins have become very
wealthy heiresses.
The sad side, Nola has developed agoraphobic with
panic attacks. She cannot go outside the house.
Then Lizette’s fiancé breaks up with her on a national
television reality show. How demoralizing!!
Then Nola wins a contest…..a trip to Paris. Nola talks
Lizette into taking her place since she is unable to
leave their house. She tells Lizette this will help get
over the breakup and be a fun adventure.
Only the trip is to Paris, Tennessee not France!!
Little did either twin know that backer of the contest
is a former friend from childhood who was close to
Nola. Will Lizette be able to pull off being Nola??
Will their former childhood friend, Dirk see through
the twin switch?? Will the undeniable chemistry
Lizette and Dirk share be ruined when her real
identity surfaces??
Secrets, threats, drama, stunning emotional moments,
make for an interesting, suspenseful and intriguing
read plus there is some romance and humor.
I volunteered to read So Unlike Me. Thanks to the
author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
Life is about finding that smile and turning that frown upside down. So Unlike Me finds the humor in the heartache with double the trouble and twice the fun. Lizette gets more than she bargained on when she decides to help her sister out. Not only is she escaping her own problems, but she has landed herself in the middle of someone else’s. Love, life and laughter blend together to create a sun shiny day with So Unlike Me. Ms. Barrett left me in stitches with her wit and her wisdom, and let’s not forget the heart that brings it all together.
An interesting story. I enjoy Nikki Lynn Barrett’s writing style and the humor she brings to her stories. I have known some people afflicted with Agoraphobia have seen the restrictions this places on their lives which no amount of money can alleviate. Lizette is keen to help her twin sister and agrees to go in her place to Paris, not France but still in the States. An old friend of Nola’s is an unexpected event which causes Lizette quite a lot of stress and she really wants to come clean with the truth. This change of scene offers more than the girls bargained and Lizette has her hands full coping with all the things happening. A fun read in some respects and a touching one in others. I enjoyed reading it.
