Loved the Blessed Series!
The author makes you feel what the characters are feeling as it’s an emotional rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. It had me flying through the pages and had me wanting more until the wee hours! I will definitely check out the other books in this series as I read this as a stand-alone.
Wasn’t sure I would like this book but it was excellent – couldnt put it down a definite page turner
Full of intrigue and action!
Gabriella Giovanni, an investigative reporter, receives an anonymous tip that leads to the discovery of 13 corpses in a peaceful neighborhood lake. She is surprised to discover that Homeland Security has also responded to the scene and her husband, DEA agent Sean Donovan, is leaving immediately for Central America on a mission that has ties to the crime scene. When the DEA informs her that Sean has died in a plane crash, her life is shattered. Two months later, she emerges from a haze of alcohol and drugs, places her seven-year-old daughter in the care of her mother, and leaves for Central America to search for her husband’s remains and closure. Gabriella soon discovers that the jungle is teaming with animal and human predators. When she is taken captive, and her guide murdered, her search for Sean’s remains is put on hold and her focus becomes escape. The story is full of intrigue and action. I liked the plot twists the author weaves into the story. The characters are realistic and the scenarios are believable.
This author weaves a story and entangles you into her characters so tightly that you have to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next! Wonderful storyline with complex characters, mystery, intrigue and action fill these pages. Cannot wait to start the next book!
Loved this book. Amazing plot, interesting location; actually learned many things. Do NOT want to tango with the Brazilian Wandering Spider.
I was hooked once I read the first chapter! Anyone interested in a well written psychological thriller should read this book. The plot is fast-paced and gripping. This author has a way with words that allows every detail to spring to life before your very eyes.
Excellent writing. Great story and character building. I’ll keep reading her writing as long as she keeps up this level of quality!!!
There was a lot of action in this story but I found it to be too predictable.
I liked the book, made me feel like I was in the jungle and all the dangers that went with it. A good entertaining read my favorite kind.
Not as good as her other books.
Love the character of Gabriella. I have already purchased the other titles in this series. Can’t wait to start book #2. The author states they do not haved to be read in order but I want to follow the personal relationships the main character has in her life. I would highly recommend this series and look forward to trying other books by this author.
I’ve read a number of books in this series. I enjoy her plots & characters. Not everyone is stunning & beautiful & it’s not about romance as so many mysteries seem to be now. It’s based on a true story also
Over all, this was a good book. Some of plot was just too far fetched to believe. I’m talking about getting involved with the kidnapper. Just didn’t ring true.
Started out a great story that eventually deteriorated into a relationship whine between people and more of a romance novel.
Fast paced and believable
