STAND ALONE, HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. BOBBI – I met Tate Reynolds while working as a prison guard. He was a two-time convicted felon, and a biker in an outlaw motorcycle club. He was kind, compassionate, and respectful. He seemed to see beyond my outer shell and accept me for who I truly was. When I found out he was a romance author, I began to read his books feverishly. Our daily … feverishly. Our daily discussions while I delivered food to his cell were the highlight of my day.
Despite my open-minded views, having a relationship with him would be impossible. Laws prohibited prison guards from being in relationships with felons.
And, men like Tate didn’t fall for big girls. Ever. And, I was no twig.
TATE – Bobbi Madden was as beautiful of a woman as I had ever met. Although she saw beyond my tattoos, my criminal convictions, and the label society had placed on me, the club prohibited fraternization with ‘cops’. A relationship with her was nothing more than a dream.
When I was released from prison, I didn’t get to say goodbye. Walking away from her wasn’t as easy as I hoped. With no way to reach her, and a heart filled with hope, I did the only thing I knew how to do.
I wrote her a romance novel.
And, I hoped…

Wow!
What a way to end this series! This book will grab you by the throat and your heart. It was different from the previous books in this series, but I think it was the best!
Damn you Scott Hildreth.
I knew this was the end of the series so yea I expected something big, something different, what I didn’t expect was to cry like an absolute baby.
You’ve had me tear up in numerous books but this one, it takes the cake.
Tate & Bobbi’s story is so amazing from beginning to end, it’s different than any of the other FFMC stories, it lacks much of what you expect to see in these books but that somehow makes it better, it means more in the end.
I yelled at you, may have cursed you a time or two and fought off tears a few times during this book but in the end it was pointless, nothing could stop them from falling.
The end of this book, this series – is sweet yet heart breaking. I couldn’t have wished for more yet never expected this much, thank you for an amazing series with an ending that cemented the true meaning of family.
Five huge motherf*cking stars for this book and the whole of this series!! I have absolutely loved this series and I have cried reading every one. Thick is the perfect ending to this series. *sob, I can’t believe I said that….the end!
This one totally hit me in the feels and was not what I was expecting at all for Meathead, after the glimpses I have had of him. But isn’t that the point? Expect the unexpected and never judge a book by its cover *please excuse the pun.
Bra-f*cking-vo Mr Hildreth, bra-f*cking-vo!
When Scott Hildreth said his FFMC series was going out with a bang, he wasn’t kidding! While I am always a bit sad to read the last book in a series that I have enjoyed, Scott really did an amazing job of giving readers everything they could have asked for and more in the series closer, THICK.
Bobbi Madden is a prison guard. She is a genuinely nice person that wants to do good in the world. When her weight keeps her from joining the police academy, she becomes a prison guard in an all male federal facility. While she only has a few minutes each day as she delivers breakfast, Bobbi befriends FFMC member Tate Reynolds, aka Meathead. While he awaiting a trial date, the two share tidbits of their lives each morning giving both something to look forward to daily.
Tate Reynolds, aka Meathead, is awaiting trial on a bogus charge. Technically he was caught red-handed with a gun, but he was set up by the ATF. He tries to stay content and do his time, hoping his trial goes well, but knowing he can do 5 years if he has too . . . especially if he has a few minutes to chat with the beautiful and compassionate Bobbi each morning.
Of course, even if they should ever meet on the outside, their relationship is doomed to fail, as prison guards and ex-cons don’t mix . . . right?
Bobbi is one heck of a heroine. She is a normal woman who struggles with her weight as well as dealing with maintaining a job in a male dominated role. She is immediately drawn to Tate. He is always respectful and never fails at making her smile. She only wishes she could meet him on the outside once he is released.
Meathead is not your average biker. When he joined the FFMC after his parents died years ago, the club became his family and he would do anything to protect them. He also does not have your typical “biker” profession, but I refuse to spoil that tidbit for readers! Honestly, the more I learned about his character, the more I fell in love with him.
As the series wraps up . . . with quite a bit of action, of course, all our favorite FFMC characters make an appearance. Their brotherhood is solidified as they once again do what is necessary to protect their club and their territory. And, as Scott promises in his blurb, there is one hell of an HEA!
5 stars for THICK! Just make sure you have bottle of wine, a box of tissues and a pint of ice cream nearby as you read this epic conclusion to the FFMC series!
Holy crap. What a ride this was.
After reading the first 5 books in this series, I thought I had a fairly good idea as to what to expect when it came to this one. Boy, was I wrong.
Tate (Meathead) Reynolds is not like his club brothers at all and we learn that in this story. He is pretty much everything you DON’T expect when you heard the term “Biker”. Watching him on this journey as he reconnects with Bobbi Madden, the prison guard he spent so much time talking to while he was incarcerated, was absolutely amazing.
I laughed, I cried (more than once), and there was something about Bobbi that I could actually, legitimately, relate to. That’s rare now a days, especially in Romance books.
You know, I try to give very in depth reviews on the books I read, without giving away spoilers, and they are usually longer than this. But I find myself having a hard time thinking of the right words that would actually do this book justice. It’s such an amazing and heartfelt story, which, again, is not usually something you expect to find in a biker novel.
Don’t get me wrong, the other books in this series was JUST as good, this just kind of gave me a view of the authors softer side, in a way. I loved this series and I will definitely be reading it again!
5 out of 5 stars!
Every time I read one of Scott’s books I’m left feeling empty. Empty because it’s over, empty because I’ve been on a roller coaster ride of emotions. This book will stay with you for days after you turn the last page.
The perfect end to one of the best series around.
Not exactly how I pictured the end for the FFMC series, but wouldn’t change a thing. I enjoyed how this all kind of ties Thick, Nut and His Rules together. It’s still very much a stand alone, in my opinion.
Bobbi and Tate meet in one of the most unconventional ways. I mean really, he’s an inmate in Federal prison and she is a guard there. How much more strange do you need? If you are after a book with lots of sex, this might not be the book for you. What this book does have is a whole lot of heart. The way Bobbi and Tate’s relationship develop couldn’t have been written any better.
The FFMC will forever be a favorite of mine. I’m dying to delve more into Mr. Hildreth’s books. Who knows where I’ll go next… Selected Sinners, Mafia Made or any of his others. But I do know I’m looking forward to it.
