I knew it was going to come to an end andI was going to be left wanting book three but IT ENDED AND I WANT BOOK THREE!
I’m really shouty over this, to hang with me for a second.
This novel jumps right in after book one and we get some of the answers that we were left grasping for. Then as things progress we get even more questions and THE END I CAN’T EVEN TALK ABOUT.
Like I have said before, if you like Linde’s CR, you need to dive into her Fantasy and PNR because she SHINES. These novels are engulfing and addictive. I swear I start them and as soon as I blink I am at the and and wanting more. The stories are unique and interesting in a way that you won’t be comparing it to anything else as you read.
This one. Dive in. twice as good as the first and ONLY THE BEGINNING.
*Rocks in corner waiting for book 3*
WOW!! What a sequel!! I loved the first book in this series, but I am completely blown away with Blood Match. KA Linde has a way of sucking you into a book and not letting go! I became so consumed by this book and I did not want it to end! I am not a huge fan of paranormal books, but I LOVE this series! I cannot wait to see what happens next with Reyna and Becks
Life is certainly not going as Reyna planned. As a blood donor, Reyna thought her task would be the escape from poverty her family needed. Then Beckham walked into her life. To say that things became unpredictable would be an understatement. Who ever imagined having feelings for their vampire host? A string of ‘not so great’ decisions has led Reyna to a place of danger. An unpredictable state that seems to only get worse as the days drag on.
As Reyna deals with life in her ‘new’ surroundings, things begin to seem more bleak than ever before. The one thing that keeps Reyna’s determination flowing is the thought that Beck’s is out there somewhere. How can Reyna find her way through the hardships she is facing? Can this really be the way living as a Blood Match turns out?
What an interesting turn of events…..when we left Reyna in the last book it seemed that a difficult road was up ahead. As time passed, we see exactly what is in store for Reyna as a blood match. There is more to meet the eye in this world of vampires, blood donors, and the underground fighters. Beckham and Reyna fight everything standing in their way, but will their different paths in life lead them further apart? Blood Match will answer more of your questions and leave you searching for the truth. Another shocking ending sets the scene for the third book. Get ready for the ‘bite’…..
3.5 Stars
I think this book may have suffered a bit of Book Two in a Series syndrome. The last 25%-30% is what saved this one for me.
I know that the second book in a ongoing series are usually more geared to that final showdown and I truly felt that in this one. This book seemed to be more informative than action, like it was putting all the pieces in order before the puzzle could be solved. I get the reasons for it but when those things happen I tend to find myself a bit bored.
I will say that it was a relief to see Reyna safe and back with the people she belonged with. Her fight is admirable and seeing her wanting to be in the middle of that battle instead of cowering was awe-inspiring. I love when a personal vendetta is not only that but something for the greater good. Although she is still a bit compulsive in this one and makes some questionable decisions she is still a great character and I can’t wait to see what happens with her next.
There were elements of this part of the story that annoyed me a bit even though I knew the facades the characters had to uphold were necessary. These did get better as the story unfolded so by the end I found myself endeared vs annoyed.
After that ending I can only hope the third book comes quickly. It was not what I expected at all and I need resolution like stat!!
I don’t know what’s happening in my brain right now… I’m trying to write a review but no words are coming out. Wow. Linde took me on a roller coaster of feels that left me with my heart and jaw on the ground. Need book 3 NOW!!
I can’t even put into words what I’m thinking right now. K.A. Linde sure does know how to suck you until the very last page. I kept turning the pages expecting there to be more. Ugh… I don’t want to spoil this amazing book for anyone. All I’m going to say is read it and you will probably be mad by the time you finish. I need Blood Cure asap!
I am loving the Blood Type series by K.A. Linde! In Blood Match we go back to Beckham Anderson and Reyna Carpenter’s world where vampires rule and humans barely survive! This is definitely a must read for all paranormal story lovers!
We pick off right where we left off and take off running! We get some answers and many more questions. There is danger and enemies at every turn. Reyna is in danger and Beckham is trying to do everything to get her back. This time around we get to see Reyna grow at the horrors she faces. While Beckham is determined, strong and still as protective and possessive as ever! And that ending. Seriously cannot wait to get my hands on the next book! How will it all end?
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Holy Smokes! This second instalment into the Blood Type series blew me away!
It’s originality and premise are one of a kind.
In Blood Match, the feud between Elle and Visage heats up and it comes to an unforeseeable climax!
Reyna and her counterparts at Elle are desperately trying to bring down Harrington and Visage. It is a game of chess. For every decision, there is a consequence. No one is willing to put the queen in jeopardy.
Along the way, secrets are revealed, loyalties are tested and mayhem abounds.
Will Reyna and her friends defeat Harrington or, will Harrington destroy everything and everyone she loves?
KA Linde really knows how to write an intriguing story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Reyna was a strong heroine and her character grew and changed with every chapter. She is no longer the naïve girl she once was but she is still as caring and loving as ever.
Beckham, my dear Beckham. I absolutely love him! Dark, brooding, tortured yet so full of love and compassion. He finally shares his past, but, his past has no intention of staying there!
This was an incredible read full of action, intrigue and love. It is my favorite PNR romance so far this year!!
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Beckham is protective and possessive, “I would kill before letting a single person lay a hand on you. You know this?” Beckham has animalistic qualities at times, “well, we could have someone else drink her blood and see if it works,” Washington said simply. Beckham growled. Actually growled. “Or . . . we could try something else,” Washington said hastily, taking a step back.” I am in desperate need for book three Kyla hasn’t let me down before so I’m trusting her to get me where I want to be in happy land for these characters.
