I love this series and this was the book I have been waiting for and what can I say K.A. Linde did not disappoint, Morgan and Patrick’s story was everything I expected and more.
Morgan has grown up under the protective eye of her brothers but that has only made her stronger more determined to succeed as the new CEO of Wright Construction what she didn’t bargain for was finding out the man she had loved for many years would feel the same way about her. Patrick has been around forever after all he is her brothers best friend and he works at Wright Construction so he should be off limits but that’s all about to change when he hands in his resignation.
Patrick and Morgan are just perfect for each other but that doesn’t mean their love story is all plan sailing, they have a few hurdles to cross before they get their HEA. Morgan is the girl we would all love to be she is strong, sassy and knows what she wants, Patrick is hot and has a laid back attitude and that brings out the best in Morgan, it brings her to life. This book is a great romance story, it’s got some great swoon worthy moments as well strong characters you can’t help falling in love with. The chemistry between Morgan and Patrick is sizzling and just with all the other books in this series we get to see what is happening with the rest of the Wright Clan. Great read, loved it.
Yes, dreams do come true.
This is the story of Patrick & Morgan. Patrick works at Wright Construction. Morgan is the CEO of Wright Construction. She is one of the Wright siblings. She has known Patrick since she was fifteen years old. Patrick is her brother, Austin’s best friend. She fell in love with him all those years ago. Now, she wants to ask him out. Ok, that attempt fails. Patrick is a fun loving guy, but never sticks to one woman. Morgan hardly ever dates because she’s a workaholic. All of a sudden he Morgan different than Austin’s little sister. But why? He’s known her most of life. He really wants to be a gentleman and treat her different from other women he’s known. She’s relationship material. They go through a number of twists and turns as revelations are revealed to each of them. I absolutely loved this book. Two different people, two different personalities, yet they fit together so well with so much love between them. I loved this whole series. I loved the fact that the whole Wright family, plus Patrick was in all the stories. I had only read two books of this author a few years ago, and never realized that those book were part of this series. I love K.A. Linde’s books. She is an exceptional writer and look forward to more.
I loved this one! Patrick used to tease Morgan calling her Mini Wright. From all the Wright siblings, she’s the one, after Jensen, best suited to lead Wright Construction. She always loved it, prepared and worked so hard to lead. In this book, she finally makes it to CEO. She also had loved Patrick for a long time, since her Freshman year in high school. And yet, Patrick always remained impervious to her feelings, although all her siblings and friends knew about it.
Patrick is Austin’s best friend, also his previous partner in crime. Together they used to party hard, getting drunk and hooking up in bars. Now that Austin is a recovering alcoholic, Patrick’s game has suffered without his wingman. And I think it’s partly because of this, since he’s not in his usual drunken haze with Austin, that he suddenly sees Morgan and feels the attraction.
For Morgan, starting her job as CEO and starting something with Patrick turns very complicated and it has repercussions on her image with the board. Also, Owen Wright, their uncle who was banished to Australia to head their empire over there, suddenly appears in their town for the holidays. Morgan has a bad vibe about the guy but her siblings don’t share her feelings.
It’s all fun and games in the corporate world, where Morgan has to fight for her chair and fight for a balance between love life and work life. I loved how Patrick changes from a player who only has hook ups to a devoted guy with the woman of his life. He had always noticed Morgan but had placed her in the unattainable shelf due to brother code. Now, we get to enjoy this perfectly written love story.
There are hints in this one for what will be Sutton’s love interest, the remaining sibling in this Wright dynasty, ahem series. Only KA Linde can write such an addictive series!
Its been a while since I read the first few books of this series but I enjoyed the read and diving back into the Wright family.
I was sure I would have liked Morgan and Patrick’s story, and I really felt it could be better than the disappointment that was The Wright Mistake. Besides Jensen and Emery’s book, this is my second favorite of the series so far.
Morgan and Patrick have history. Although they’ve never been officially together in the 10+ years since they’ve known each other and not even never kissed, there’s always been some flirting and attraction between them. Morgan has liked Patrick ever since she was 15 and she saw him for the first time, but he seems oblivious about her feelings and this made her sad, so she finally decides to muster up the courage to ask him out and see if they can be together. But it isn’t that easy. Patrick also likes Morgan a lot but she’s his best friend’s younger sister, and this is the main reason he refrained from asking her out all these years. Plus, Austin and his brothers Landon and Jensen may beat him up for being with Morgan.
I liked that this was a “friends to lovers” type of story that didn’t go fast like, for example, The Wright Boss and The Wright Mistake. The author took her time to get Morgan and Patrick together, especially since he was afraid to be with her because he could hurt her. He didn’t want to treat her like his previous flames, and this was great. You could notice that after Austin decided to stop drinking, Patrick also become more reasonable and mature. He’s always treated Morgan with respect in any case, but once he made up his mind he didn’t want to behave badly with her and he wanted to treat her properly. He does one impulsive gesture but he was forgivable because it wasn’t entirely his fault. He was cute and caring, surprising me a lot. Because whenever he appeared in the previous books he looked like he only liked to say snarky things (although he always leaned on Morgan besides Austin the whole time).
Morgan was a great female character. At 27, she’s the CEO of Wright Construction. This is a desirable position for anybody, so it’s inevitable that she has to be extra cautious and work overtime in order to show the board she’s fit for this role. Of course, in the story there are some things that threaten her work in the company and that put her role in danger, but she manages it just fine. In this regard, we can really say that Morgan is female!Jensen, so probably this is why I liked her so much. She’s dedicated and serious and tries to keep her composure cool and rarely show her weakness, but she’s a human being so she can have days where she doesn’t feel like working or put on a smile for people too.
The pace was great. Like I said, the author took her time to make something happen between them. They moved step by step into the right direction, and there wasn’t much angst but that’s OK. What these two needed to realize was that they had feelings for each other and had to deal with the other brothers and the rest of the world who wanted to sabotage them. But once they got to do that, things got better and they were inseparable.
Now I only need to read the last two books about Sutton and David, that I think I’ll like. Who knows if Sutton will top Morgan as my favorite Wright sis. We’ll see.
…Can you hear that? It’s the sound of Morgan Wright FINALLY getting her man! 12 years is a long time to crush on somebody but for Morgan and Patrick the wait was well worth it. I’m so glad Morgan’s story was told and that such an amazing female character took center stage. The story flowed and moved along well. As soon as I found myself wondering what the conflict was going to be, it was revealed and in true Wright fashion her entire family was behind her. Now that I’ve finished tWS I will be saving my strength and impatiently waiting for Sutton’s duet.
Morgan Wright is not only a powerful woman but also a Wright and that means she’s off limits her three older brothers will make sure she is taken care of and has only the best.
For twelve years she has been in love with Patrick but he’s not only not interested he’s also her brother Austin’s best friend. When will he see her as more than Austin’s little sister or “little Wright” as he always calls her?
Will it ever be the right time to ask him out? She finally decided she was going to and after he decided to leave the family biz it’s the perfect time.
With Morgan becoming CEO of the company and trying a new relationship will everything work out? Especially with her long lost uncle showing up and staying for the holiday season. He gives her a weird vibe something is off with Uncle Owen he is awful to her but super to the rest of the family.
This book was so good I loved the story and the flow and I can’t wait to read more in this series. The books are stand alone but they follow the Wright Family and you see the family members in all the books.
The Wright Secret is an amazing brother’s best friend story. The story was so good, I really enjoyed it. The characters were so perfect for eachother and they had smokin chemistry. I’m loving the Wright family.
Patrick says such pretty words, “I see you. All of you,” I said. I tugged her closer and drew her lips to mine. “I see you and feel you and want you.” Patrick sometimes likes to point out the obvious, “pretty sure you just made out with my face.” Patrick isn’t afraid to let his woman know his wants, “sure, that sounds good. Also, I selfishly want you with me more.” I adored thid book, I loved Patrick and Morgan.
In The Wright Secret, we get a fun twist on the Wright Brothers we have read thus far; we get Morgan’s story! This book was long anticipated and Kyla has mixed in just the right of angst into this one that Patrick and Morgan’s story, will leave you on the edge of your seat. From cover to cover, this book is fun, witty, sexy and a little angsty all tossed together! It has been so much fun seeing Morgan in the background throughout the series so far, so getting to see the family business, her brothers and her relationships through her eyes was truly a magnificent journey.
In the latest installment of the Wright series, we get Morgan Wright’s story. Fresh on the job as CEO of Wright Construction, her feelings for Patrick couldn’t be stronger. She has been in love with her brother’s best friend for years. Patrick on the other hand, has been oblivious to Morgan’s feelings. When her journey into her new career within the family company takes her down a path with Patrick she had always dreamed about, she must desperately attempt to find a work/life balance before she loses them both.
As Morgan struggles to find her balance, and her future at Wright construction hanging over her head, you truly get to see how strong of a character she is. She is independent, loyal and such an inspiration to woman. We see a woman who is deeply in love with a man she has known over a decade, and when things start to develop between them all of her dreams start to come true. She just has to find a way to keep them a secret from her brothers. Their relationship is very passionate and the two are very connected in a way that makes you fall in love with their love story.
We also have some adventures with the sub-characters that added a few twists to the story. The Wright’s Uncle is in town, and we see a new character thrown into the mix that is defiantly there to throw their lives into a tailspin. We get to also catch up with the brothers we love so much from the other books in the series. We see glimpses of Austin and Jensen which adds a bit of nostalgia to catch up with some of our past favorites. Overall this book was truly a 5-star read that didn’t dissatisfy and was very well unfolded throughout.
I like this series a lot I have read them all so far
THE WRIGHT SECRET is a standalone although it follows several books (three previous books) from the same family. It’s the first I’ve read from author K.A. Linde but I had no problem jumping right into this boisterous family! This one’s a friends to lovers, office type romance and also one of my favorite tropes…brother’s best friend.
Morgan Wright has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Patrick, for years. When she FINALLY decides to make a move on him, Patrick begins to see her as more than just his friend’s baby sister. But it’s tough on CEO Morgan to balance their affair with work.
There’s kind of a reversal of roles between Patrick and Morgan and I gotta say…I totally enjoyed that! Morgan was career driven, fierce in the office, tough on herself but also devoted to her brothers and sister, loyal. She was more of the “dominant” in this relationship. Patrick was laid back, sweet and understanding, almost goofy though he’s pretty fierce in his feelings for Morgan. He’s the “submissive”. Fortunately, this backwards dynamic doesn’t follow them in the bedroom since Patrick has no problem taking charge there!
These two fit together so well. I loved how supportive Patrick was of Morgan, how he enjoyed taking care of her. So sigh worthy! And I found myself cheering Morgan on as she learned to balance work and love. Plus, the secondary characters were fabulous. They really enforced how important family was to Morgan. I’d actually like to go back and read the other books because Morgan’s siblings, Jenson, Austin, Landon and Sutton have such a close knit, interesting family…I want more!
Overall, this was a well written, sweet but sexy read. Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I’m a sucker for a good friends to lover’s romance, and The Wright Secret was a FANTASTIC one! Morgan is the only girl growing up surrounded by her three older brothers. To say they are overprotective would be putting it mildly. Just because she is a woman, doesn’t mean she isn’t fierce because she is. She has worked her butt off to climb the ladder at her family’s business. She is more than capable of the job of CEO after her brother, Jensen, leaves to start his own architecture company. With her singular focus on working, she doesn’t have a love life at all, not that she would want to. She has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Patrick, as long as she can remember. At her wit’s end, she decides she is going to get him to notice her, that’s easier said than done.
Patrick is a self-proclaimed manwhore. He knows it, and Morgan has known it. In fact, she knows just about everything about him EXCEPT that he has feelings for her. But, he knows she is definitely off limits. He knows what her brothers will do to him, especially knowing his reputation with the ladies. One night that starts out innocent with Morgan begins turning into something else. It opens the door of them exploring a whole new relationship. They will have a lot of emotions and uncertainty to process, not to mention her brothers’ reactions, and some intense family drama concerning Wright Construction before they can find their way to their HEA. All that combines for an incredible book!
I really liked how Linde explored their feelings for one another. Sometimes those confusing feelings of becoming more than friends and the possible impact on their friendship is sometimes glossed over in other books, but not this one. I really felt like I was going through the process with Morgan and Patrick as they explored getting to know each other in a completely different way. Yes, they knew each other all their lives, but it was charming seeing them become more. That is what made their romance sweet, and yet their sexual relationship was steamy!
Morgan and Patrick were also pretty complex characters. He definitely had a way with women, but he also had this completely other side to him where his family was concerned. He was sweet, caring, and loyal. When he made his mind up about Morgan, he was trying to do things right. When she felt rejected because he just didn’t want to sleep with her, he was honest and told her he wanted to thing right with her because she wasn’t “just another girl” and she never had been. The man could make me swoon!
Morgan was an amazing character. At first glance, she comes across as self-confident and strong, and she is strong. Underneath that, is some self-confidence issues. Unfortunately, like a lot of women, she felt like she had to work harder and be tougher so some men in the business would take her seriously. As much strides as women have made over the decades, some women still deal with that issue on a daily basis. Morgan proves you can still be feminine and a formidable business woman. Thank you, K.A. Linde, for showing us through Patrick and Morgan’s brothers, that there are also men out there who support and encourage women like Morgan.

I LOVED this book! The characters were so amazing that I don’t know who I liked better, Patrick or Morgan. Patrick is just the complete swoonable male! He is what every writer strives to have their men look like! He had me signing throughout The Wright Secret more than once! Than we have Morgan, I am just addicted to her drive. Morgan is so strong. She’s a woman that most would look up to. She doesn’t let anyone tell her she isn’t enough. It’s admirable. I just couldn’t help but like all the characters, they all bring something to the table.
I had recently found KA Linde’s books. Once I did, I devoured the other books in this series. I couldn’t wait for Morgan’s story since, for me, she’s completely amazing… I could be smitten with her a bit! Is it totally weird that I was just giddy for this book? I was so excited for them to get together. It was such a slow burn and adding in the fact that it’s a brother’s best friend, kind of the forbidden fruit, type of story, I was just bouncing when it landed on my kindle! Linde’s writing is perfect! I wasn’t able to put this story down and consumed it within 24 hours!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.

4.5 Stars
Patrick and Morgan, well, what can I say. I have been waiting for this one through the whole series and it did not disappoint.
I loved the characters, I loved that Morgan is both strong and insecure. I really loved that no one really doubted that she could be CEO because she was a woman. Yes, there were some doubts about her abilities, but they were focused on her being new and the size of the company…and somewhat driven by outside forces that are spoilers.
I love the way the stories intertwine, how the other characters from the previous stories are a factor in this one, but not in such a way that they detract from the central story of Patrick and Morgan.
And, what a story it was. I loved, LOVED that she thought he pushed her aside and rejected her. This wouldn’t have worked if we didn’t have the dual POV, but knowing what he was thinking, and the reasons for it, helped to really be able to engage with him even when he was being an idiot.
The chemistry and the connection also really worked. To go from a friends to lovers, there has to be a strong enough connection and draw for me to be willing to believe that they would risk their friendship, and I believed it for Patrick and Morgan.
And, I can’t end this without talking about supporting characters, specifically David and Sutton and how much I loved not only their story in this, and the glimpses of their relationship and the fact that there is a duet coming with their story.
I recommend this title, and I am looking forward to the next ones in the series.
I knew the story of Morgan and Patrick would be fantastic and the author K.A. Linde didn’t let me down.
For those who followed the story of his brothers, already has the knowledge that Morgan is a businesswoman and who secretly is in love with Patrick, your brother’s best friend for years, and he has no idea of it, and even see her as nothing more than the newest Sister your friend. But in this book, that changes: Morgan is not willing anymore to be waiting for a guy who can never open his eyes and decides to try your chance one last time, and that’s where Patrick really see Morgan and her feelings begin to change.
Patrick and Morgan are fantastic together, loved to see the dynamic between them once they get together, I loved seeing as once Patrick took her feelings any time he faltered or returned back, and I loved seeing how he brought a lightness to Morgan that she needed.Next to Patrick, she’s allowed to be a woman and not the tough boss that she needs to be on your job.
One thing I found a bit rushed was the sudden change of sentiments of Patrick. I felt a little run it at a time she was the younger Sister of your friend and the next it had changed, but this didn’t bother me or decreased as I loved this book.
Loved view that the brothers did not do a great deal of these two getting together, really I was already expecting a drama of brothers not accepting, but that’s not what happened here, and I was happy.Parallel to the novel we see Morgan dealing with the problems of your work and the sudden arrival of your uncle to disrupt and mess up things a bit, and here I wanted to at various times hit Jensen.
The Wright secret is my favorite story of the series. I just loved the story of Patrick and Morgan, a great addition to this series, that each book gets better. I loved, loved this book. The best book of the wright brothers by far. I can’t stop wishing Sutton after all she’s been through post receive a story and your HEA .
The worst kept secret has become the best guilty pleasure. Morgan and Patrick were a match twelve years in the making. The younger sister and the brother’s best friend may have taken the long way, but they caught up pretty quickly. Naughty meets nice and delivers sweet. K.A. Linde has teased an attraction between these two from the very beginning. It was fun to hear their journey in their own words.
