Never disobey the court.Never disobey the crown. And never tame that vicious heart. In A Vow of Thorns, sacred laws are broken when a beauty holds an iron heart.
Oh my what a cliffhanger that was my heart was literally in my mouth not sure how Tensley and Molly are going to come back from this blow. So this for me is going to be a short review as I desperately need to get back to it and discover what’s happens next.
So this third book in the series is hands down my favourite so far there was so much going on here it’s chock full of passion danger and plenty of love in fact Tensley really comes into his own here totally opening up his heart gone is the running away from his feelings he embraces Molly totally which was why it was so devastating at the finish of this.
I’m loving both these two as a couple now and they definitely have chemistry galore and I’m not sure why all these demons think they don’t and can’t love as it’s as obvious as anything that they can feel just as deeply as humans unless there heartless that is, they’ve just been conditioned to cover up and dampen any strong emotions and also grow there evil sadistic sides from birth.
Got to say Fallen and Lilith were complete psychotic monsters and my heart broke for poor prim and Seto at the cruelty and severity of their punishment. I so need to start the final book now and I’m praying to everything that Molly and Tensley’s love can prevail against these dismal odds.
This book has to be my favourite of the series so far……I seriously CAN NOT BREATHE! This entire book had me on edge, I couldn’t put it down my heart was racing the whole time. It’s not very often I find myself so engrossed in a world and it’s characters that I can’t think of anything else, that’s what R. Scarlett has done with the Blackest Gold World, she has completely seduced and captivated me. I love everything about this series, It’s phenomenal.
Tensley and Molly ……That ending……Holy Sh!t…..Nooooooooo!!!!

I really think that if this book, this story got a proper editor then it has potential to be great.
Molly and Tensly are stilling going back an forth allot. Tensly is hot and cold, her wants her tand then he doesn’t. And Molly gets mad but she caves and forgives him and then it happens all over again.
If it wasn’t for that cliffhanger, I would have given up.

I have no words.
Book 3 in the Blackest Gold series takes off where book 2 left off and here, we see an even bigger growth for both Tensley and Molly.
Molly grows so much in this book. She adjusts to living life in the new world she finds herself embroiled in while balancing her human life and all the responsibilities that go with that.
Their attraction to each other never wane and it is as bright and fiery as ever.
But what happens when plans start to fall off, when new characters start to emerge as threats and their life hangs in the balance?
What happens if/when Tensley finally gives in to his side.
The side that kills.
Maims.
Breaks.
The side that’s cold to everyone.
How will they face this threat?
Idk about you guys but I’m jumping right into book 4
This series is so good. An amazing mix of heat, pain, danger, life, love, and treachery that will keep you on your toes as you weave right along with them.
I LOVE it!

“He’d rip any beast limb from limb to protect her. He’d present her severed heads if he had to. She was his queen, his only.”
There is no question that this book, not only needs to be a movie, but it threw me completely. It broke me apart, put me back together, and tore me all apart again. Full of action, deceit, betrayal, and probably the most danger the couple was in to date. One underlying constant in this book was their devotion, their love that was forbidden to admit, and their desire to make their own rules. So much happens in this one, I was floored from beginning to end. Biting my nails, worrying constantly about what was around the next corner.
“I am the dark lord, who corrupted the angel,” he hissed. “They will hear me roar. I will shatter the stars, and they will cower.”
Tensley goes against all that he and his society have created and becomes fiercely and undeniably a man in love, which was completely hot. The formidable team at their strongest, have their biggest obstacles to overcome so far. While their relationship seems to be unstoppable, there are forces at work that you don’t see coming that leave you breathless, floored, and heaving with almost tears at the end.
“Her voice was a sermon, a call to the danger lurking in his chest. A voice capable of destroying kingdoms and making courts bow.”

First off, I binge read Vein of Love and Body of the Crime before reading A Vow of Thorns, so I was so immersed in this world, I just really didn’t want to leave it. Plus that cliffie! Truth be told, I sort of wanted to hurl my phone across the room when I got to the end. And then I wanted to cradle it to my heart in thanks. I’m a huge fan of Sarah J. Maas and the A Court of Thorns and Roses series and The Blackest Gold series now rivals it in my heart. That is MAJOR.
The character arc and growth in both Molly and Tensley is astounding, beautiful, and deep. This book captured my heart from page one and didn’t let it out of its grip even after the last word was read. I’m in a legit book hangover y’all – the likes of which I have not experienced since I read A Court of Mist and Fury the first time (I literally couldn’t read anything else for over a week after that, so I just reread and listened to the Audible version repeatedly until I could move on). The intensity of the emotions, the complexities of the world the R. Scarlett created – I am truly in awe and astounded (and a little bit heartbroken right about now – no spoilers though). I will from now on and forever read anything this lady writes – and though I purchased a Kindle copy of Vein of Love and received ARCs of Body of the Crime and A Vow of Thorns, I will be buying paper copies of all 3 books because R. Scarlett deserves all of the money I can give her. 5 out of 5 wine glasses, all day every day!

This book is absolutely Perfect!! R. Scarlett never ceases to amaze me and she freaking hit it out of the park with this one. It is officially one of my All Time Favorite books!! This story is everything. Tensley and Molly are one of a kind couple! They have my whole heart! This book was absolutely marvelous! So much happens in this! I was constantly surprised and I never knew what was going to happen next! I don’t want to give anything away so all I’m going to say is that Tensley and Molly have come so far since book one and this book just proves how amazing and strong they are together! This book made me so happy but it also broke my heart many times and even for a couple that we only just meet! R. Scarlett knows how to make me fall in love with her character and how to hate her characters with a passion. I practically have the whole book highlighted!! That ending left me screaming!!! I just have to say Well Done Rebecca Well Done! This book is one of a kind and so perfect! I am so ready to jump into “To Crown a Beast”!!
P.S. This is my FAVORITE Cover!! It’s so Beautiful!!!
P.P.S. I really want to re-read this book even though I already finished it!! I love this one so much!!!

R. Scarlett keeps on delivering an entertaining and very thrilling storyline. Wow. I was on the edge of my seat numerous times and that cliffy. Wowza. It was heartbreaking and cruel but so interesting for the story and the next book. I’m so in love with this series and especially Molly and Tensley. They keep evolving and show so many layers and nuances. My love for them and R. Scarlett’s talent knows no bounds. She takes the characters to the edge and makes them take the plunge. I appreciate that nothing and no one is safe.
The mixture of romance and paranormal is wonderfully written. Molly is a fantastic heroine and her evolution is incredible. She owns her strength and certainly Tensley who keeps wooing me at every chance he gets. He’s a demon and a beast but also a good man to Molly. My heart and emotions are all over the place after finishing this book. That’s how you write a cliffy. On to the final book I go.

It’s going to be slight torture waiting on book four. OKAY! EXTREME TORTURE! I love this series! I really don’t want to say anything about this book because I feel like it could be a spoiler. I will say that I loved the togetherness of Tensley and Molly in this one. Certain parts gave me butterflies and there’s a particular scene where Molly has something to tell Tensley in the bathroom and his reaction made me love him even more. *happy sigh* I cannot wait to see how everything turns out in book four because AHHHH! Words can’t even begin to express my absolute LOVE for this series! These books draw you in from page one, captivating you with the amazing story telling, dark world and well-developed characters. Each book in this series keeps getting better and better, with A Vow of Thorns probably being my favorite so far from this series. I HIGHLY recommend these books and will read (and probably love) anything that R. Scarlett writes!
I have voiced my dislike for books written in third person before, but R. Scarlett’s beautiful, poetic writing makes me absolute love it in these books. The words flow off the pages and I found myself highlighting large sections because they were breathtakingly beautiful. The pacing in this was perfect and I LOVED the expansion of world building when it came to the politics and hierarchy of demon society. It still blows my mind how the plot flows so well, with every bit of information playing some bigger role later on.
I didn’t think it was possible for these characters to become more developed, but R. Scarlett succeeded at adding more dimensions to not only the main characters, but to the side characters as well. Tensely has got to be one of my all-time favorite male characters. He is so complex and well developed. His struggle to fit in with his society and family, as well as battling against his growing love for Molly is one of my favorite parts of the story. He has the ability to be animalistic, dark and brutal, but still gentle, caring and possessive. I also really LOVE Molly. Her character has grown so much from A Vein of Love (book one), becoming strong, independent and protective over what she holds dear.
The romance in this book has got to be one of my favorite aspects. Seeing Tensely so ruthless and cruel when it comes to all aspects of his life, but kind and caring for Molly would make any girl weak in the knees. I LOVED all the small loving gestures and touches that Tensely used when they were in the public’s eye to comfort Molly without openly showing affection. Their love story is one of my favorites and I can’t wait to see how it continues.
I can’t say enough about how much I LOVE this series. It is epic, beautiful and all-consuming. Every time I sat down to read it, I was instantly transported into the world that R. Scarlett has created. It was dark and disturbing, but also beautiful and fascinating. I really hope this series continues for a VERY long time because I might shed a few tears when it is finally over. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book, especially after that crazy cliffhanger! If you have not read this series yet, PLEASE, go now and start Vein of Love…you won’t regret it!

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from Love Between the Sheets*
This absolutely killed me in the best way. You should know that I partially struggled with the first book because it was so hard to see someone so close-minded about demons do such permanent, damaging things (fans know who I’m talking about). However, I am a total hopeless romantic that thrives on the heart-wrenching drama, and when the second book came out, it felt like things were finally getting to where I wanted them, like-love-lust wise. This installment felt like it’d finally ARRIVED, and I was so happy to see things the way they were and evolved. The whole thing, even with all the harder issues, was bliss… which definitely added to the suspense bit because you’re just waiting for that other shoe to drop lol.
I completely recommend this series that I love because it’s challenging two different people to come together on their own, and seeing such effort and willingness to take that risk is just amazing, you know? I loved it because of the drama on drama on drama, because of the way demons were uniquely depicted, because of how much the characters developed (major thing for me) and overall, I recommend it because of how much I went from unsure to hard-core all for Tensely and Molly. And the ending? Ugh, it made me cry so bad I had to stop to think about what just happened. If that isn’t reason enough to start getting on the Blackest Gold train…

Well that just happened.
Tensely & Molly definitely turn up the heat in book three of this four part series! This book picks up close to where we last left off. With Molly away in Paris for her internship, and Tensley trying to keep Fallen off of her scent and the Scorpios alive and in charge.
So many things happen in this book, but I don’t want to ruin it, so I’m going to keep it on the down low. What I will say is this is another incredibly well written installment where R. Scarlett throws us into the beautiful yet dark world of demons and daemons. The way she writes this story I can almost FEEL myself in the setting and feeling what the characters feel.
If you haven’t read books one and two, then you need to get started right now. If you’ve read them… what are you waiting for? Download this baby and gobble it up! If you need someone to cry to after you’ve read it… I’m here. I’m here.

It is packed full of twists and turns. Who do we trust? Who don’t we trust? What obstacle is headed their way next? This book is a strange mix of dark and brutal with hope and light. Gah! Loved it. Also have to say Tensley upped his swoon game in this book. So many moments where I just went sigh….. he’s a perfect Dirty demon.
“I want to take care of you. Even when I’m the one who dirties you.”
But don’t worry readers we still get our steaming hot chemistry too.
“A beast,” she whispered into his open mouth, a mouth of power, a mouth of sin.
These two, this book, their love story together – just perfect.
Molly – The demon of her nightmares had become her heart.
Tensley – My court, my crown, my queen.
Have to warn you to strap yourselves in for a cliffhanger of epic proportions people. I was madly flicking pages while yelling NOOOO, I needed more. Every book in this series is better than the last. I for one cannot wait for the next book.
