RECOMMENDED FOR READERS 18 AND OLDER DUE TO SEXUAL SITUATIONS AND VIOLENCE.The Iron Tiara is a spin-off novel from the Nine Minutes Trilogy. It can be read as a standalone, and does not contain a cliffhanger.Anthony Bear and Christy Chapman are from two completely different worlds. Anthony’s the leader of a motorcycle gang that terrorizes Florida’s West Coast. As a child, he ran away from his … child, he ran away from his family and the Cherokee Indian Reservation to enter a life of crime. As an adult, he leads a multifaceted life managing his two businesses—his legitimate landscaping venture, and his loan shark and underworld dealings. Driven by anger and betrayal, Anthony begins the hunt for Christy’s father, Van Chapman, after he runs out on a loan.
Christy’s privileged life is not as it seems. She has kept painful family secrets and hidden some of her own. She’s determined to find out the truth and expose Van, but her search delivers her right into Anthony Bear’s hands, adding kidnapping to his list of crimes.
Their worlds are as contrasting as the color of their skin. The only thing they seem to have in common is their mutual disdain for Van Chapman…and each other.
They couldn’t be more wrong.

Anthony is a criminal who leads a double life, he’s a legitimate businessman but also the frightening ruler of the underworld. When Christy’s father betrays him, he kidnaps her and plans to show no mercy. In his eyes, she’s just a spoiled heiress who’s never worked a day in her life, worthless and manipulative. Women like her disgust him! But Christy is nothing like he imagined. She has secrets of her own, and wants to exact her revenge on those who hurt her. And Anthony has the audacity to stand in her way, and won’t listen to reason! The obnoxious man is so stubborn and infuriating! As they reluctantly co-operate to destroy her father, Christy and Anthony discover that they have more things in common than they thought. As their worlds collide and their enemies close in on them, they they only have each other to rely on. Anthony is a handsome man, but his effect on women has made him cynical and unapproachable! Christy’s behavior, the fact that she is strong-minded and uncompromising, wins his admiration and respect. The Iron Tiara has a seductive and exceptional plot!
ANOTHER NINE MINUTES BOOK TO LOVE!!!!
I don’t know about you, but the Nine Minutes Trilogy is one of my favorite series….and, in that trilogy, we meet Anthony Bear and his wife, Christy, who are close friends, personally and professionally with Grizz and Kit….THE IRON TIARA takes us back to the beginning of the relationship between Anthony and Christy….
Anthony Bear is hot….a big, sexy Native American with long black hair, and he is a bad boy to the bone….Christy Chapman is the beautiful, wealthy heiress who is nothing like Anthony but nothing likes he thinks, either… Christy’s father owes Anthony money, and Anthony uses his legit business, Native Tough Landscape and Design, to find Van Chapman, but when he sees Van’s daughter, as a spoiled, entitled white woman, his plan comes together…and he takes Christy…..
If I say anymore, I’ll end up retelling the whole book…Let me just say the relationship between Anthony Bear and Christy Chapman starts out rocky, and remains that way due to the baggage they both carry…and, it’s BIG baggage…Anthony, like GrIzz, is a dangerous life long criminal until the day he dies, but, Christy isn’t Kit…..This is a story about acceptance and unconditional love…
Welcome to the literary world of Beth Flynn . She’s a chronicler of an age old story of Love set in Floridian Gator-alley . It travels from coast to coast from the 70’s to present times
She will create a mythical world for you. Place some colourful , imperfectly perfect people . She will expand their lives and environment . Make them walk through gauntlets of pain and hardships. All the while her narration will cover months, years, decades. But every word that she puts on the paper is there for a reason . Not a single sentence is written without a carefully thought through plot. A character here, a dialogue there, are tiny hints , all chainlinked to form a larger than life masterpiece .
If I thought that she couldn’t surpass the minutes trilogy in depth, imagination and expanse , I stand corrected . I admit that happily
Her writing is otherworldy. It transports you to another era where what she says , goes. You believe in all her secrets, you fall in love with her people , you hate her villains. Its like She’s a master puppeteer holding us captive to her beautiful words
She made the Ferocious Anthony Bear so powerfully dangerous and badass and Christy Chapman so dove , dainty and pure , their alliance almost unimaginable

Anthony Bear and Christy’s story somehow manages to revive old love memories for Grizz and Kit but also make me fall in love with Bear and his Owani. His story had me spellbound !
There are so many corkscrew twists , it gave me vertigo !! Anthony Bear picks up Christy Chapman as a collateral and there starts her phase of life where she will experience love, betrayal, courage and happiness
She’s an unfortunate heiress who’ll fall for a criminal. The most unlikely, mismatched pair will have to endure innumerable stumbling blocks and roadbumps, yet Christy’s tenacity and courage will help her bear the weight of the Iron Tiara, that lies so heavily on her head
“Two hearts connected by strands of gold.
My heart you will always hold.
Safe by my side, you will always be.
My forever love, you belong to me.”
The most fascinating thing occurred to me. Beth wrote a perfectly matching piece of story that fit all the chronicled ,jagged edges of Grizz’s story. Every anecdote fit perfectly.
Brilliance of a Natural Born Writer !! Bravo Beth !

Anthony is the leader of a dangerous mc. He is after Van Chapman because he ran out on a loan. Christy looks like she has a life full of privilege but there are dark secrets that are hidden. She and Anthony meet as she’s determined to make Van pay. Anthony ends up kidnapping Christy. A crazy wild ride is in store for this couple.
4*
Anthony bear has discovered one of his collectors has been lax getting his cash from a client Van. Determined to get it he visits his home, what he doesn’t expect is the firecracker called Christy.
Christy hates her family but Anthony Bear has got the wrong idea about her, can she help find her so called parents and carry on with her life?
Another great story
As a huge fan of the Nine Minutes Trilogy, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this spin-off about Anthony Bear and Christy Chapman. I wasn’t sure what to expect with their story, but in true Beth Flynn fashion, she created an intricate web of secrets, lies, and deception that had me completely captivated. Nobody writes an antihero better than she does. Each of her books leave me a twisted up, and confounded mess…and I love it!
Anthony and Christy are from completely different worlds. She comes from money and walks the straight and narrow, while Anthony is the complete opposite. But you know the old saying, opposites attract!!! And with these two headstrong characters, it doesn’t take long for the sparks to ignite.
I was completely absorbed in this story. I couldn’t read it fast enough, only to curse myself once it was over. It was dark, gritty, and everything I’ve come to love in a Beth Flynn novel.
RECOMMENDED FOR READERS 18 AND OLDER DUE TO SEXUAL SITUATIONS AND VIOLENCE.
Holy cow can Beth Flynn write! This book had my heart beating, my eyes squeezing shut, my butt on the edge of whatever seat I was sitting on and my fingers could not flip the pages fast enough!
If you thought Grizz was bad, just wait until you meet Anthony Bear! There is nothing he wouldn’t do for Christy once he finally realizes that she belonged to him. There are times he is such a teddy bear and other times a grizzly bear!
Also loved to read the bits a pieces of Grizz and Kit that are tossed into this book. Another great book by Beth Flynn and I cannot wait for the next one!
Another great book by Beth Flynn. Anthony and Christy’s story is absolutely amazing. I love Grizz and Kit’s cameos in the books. Hope there will be more.
There aren’t enough adjectives to properly complement this story and Beth’s profound writing style!
The story is so well developed, every scene is so well described. The characters we met in Nine Minutes are back but this is Anthony’s story. He’s an enigma, but he is so interesting and complex!
And his sister “Nisha” was a great touch to add some levety to the intense and difficult life Anthony led.
As the story slowly evolves we can visualize Alligator Alley, feel the isolation. Enter Anthony and we begin to understand how he fits in that world, and when Christi enters albeit under unorthodox methods, his world takes on a whole new meaning.
Their story was more than a romance. They both have ghosts haunting them, but together they’re more than soul mates, and they can conquer anything. How they do it is what makes this story truly exquisite!!
The Iron Tiara is one of those books that you read slowly so you can savor all the words.
Phenomenal story that spans over 25 years… An amazing read about how looks can be deceiving and not to judge a book by its cover. Highly recommend this book.
My first five star book of the year. I love Beth Flynn and her writing. She makes you feel very strong emotions for the characters. Whether it is love or hate. Great story.
Liked it but I prefer the Out of time trilogy…
yummm
I absolutely love when an author takes the expected and turns me on my head. From the first chapter of The Iron Tiara, I believed I had the leading characters pegged. I fit them into my neat little literary expectations and carried on with my reading. I had high expectations of a gritty, story of criminal intents with scary motorcycle dudes, and their take-no-prisoners approach to business.
Until about 50%.
Now, truth be told, Christy’s strength as a female lead becomes apparent earlier on. But as a strong – #noneofyourbeeswax heroine, she begins to shine as she not going to take anything for granted and burn her own path to happiness. Anthony is a very alpha male in the story. I mean I wasn’t sure if Ms Flynn could out-alpha her heroes but she did in this tale. If nothing else, it was these two characters that compelled me to continue reading until the wee hours of the morning. All other side plots be damned – these two are what kept me swiping the eReader.
Speaking of side plots, I did converse with a fellow reader as I went. Periodic head scratching as I thought, “Where is Beth Flynn going with this?”. I’d delight with massive back pats when I was right. However, there was more “WTF!” I was wrong moments. And that is brilliant storytelling – turning the reader to the unexpected.
The story does travel back and forth in giving the reader historical moments that impact the characters and their decisions. It may feel like you have been stuffed with information, but bear with the story as it all has importance. In addition, the story is told in 3rd person which I believes makes a reader concentrate more on what is not said but through the witnessing of actions. Again, you’ll feel stuffed with information, but all is relevant to wrap things up in the end.
If you love MC romance and don’t like to feel a predictable ‘been-there-read-that’, you’ll want to read The Iron Tiara right away! 5 out of 5 stars
