Discover a world of power, filth and depravity in the steamy and thrilling New York Knights series. The saga continues with this angsty best friend’s little sister romance.I had to leave. I had no choice. I loved her too much to stay. Carys has always owned my heart and loving her was the best part of my life…until I discovered the truth, realizing that the only way to keep her safe was to let … way to keep her safe was to let her go.
I thought it would become easier, that my love for her would eventually fade. But I was wrong. The longer I stayed away, the more it hurt to be apart from her.
It’s probably selfish and reckless, but I want her back. I need her more than I need air to breathe. Without her I’m nothing but a broken soul.
Problem is she’s already moved on, started a new life without me. But I’ve never shied away from a challenge, and there’s nothing I won’t do to prove to her that she’s still mine.
She’s always been mine.
This is book two in the New York Knights series with interlinking storylines. Fallen Night shouldn’t be read as a standalone and is the continuation of a five book series about the alpha protectors of Hart Corporation.

Fallen Night
New York Knights, Book 2
By: S.M. West
Narrated by: Noelle Bridges, Jason Clarke
SM West has made me fall in love with this series! Romantic suspense at its best! This second book in her New York Knights book features Carys and Evan. Close when they were teens, the history of these two resonates through the years. The inseparable pair were happy until the day Evan disappeared. Now two years later, he is back, and with a little groveling, and a whole lot of love and protectiveness we get a wonderful second chance romance. But their story is not that easy! SM West masterfully weaves a suspenseful story, full of plot twists and turns that keep us on the edge. With cameos by characters we met in Reckless Night, we see and feel just how strong the ties between friends and family are and enjoy their journey to find happiness.
Noelle Bridges and Jason Clarke give us this story with a performance you do not want to miss. It’s emotional and passionate. Their voices build up the suspense, add in the steam and let us feel all the feelings as they become Carys and Evan. I enjoyed their portrayal of the characters.

This is the second book in the amazing New York Knights Series, an amazing Romantic Suspense. Carys and Evan’s second chance to love is fast-paced, complex, intriguing, and captivating. Carys is lovely and strong. Evan is dark, and determined. I loved their suspenseful journey. Noelle Bridges and Jason Clarke did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Captive Night, Coop and Anna’s story.
Fallen Night by S.M. West is a romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Noelle Bridges and Jason Clarke. The book was previously published as Blue in the Love in Color series.
This is the second book in the New York Knights Series. They shouldn’t be read as a standalone since they have interlinking storylines. It will be part of a five book series.
This is the third book of Suzanne’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved getting Evan and Carys story. I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Captive Night to get Anna and Davis story.
Noelle and Jason did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you love romantic suspense or best friend sister’s romance.
Blue is S.M. West’s second book of her Love In Color series. The first book, Red, is also available to purchase.
“Blue. The color of devotion.”
This is the first book I’ve read by S.M. West and I absolutely loved it. I wasn’t able to put it down and didn’t want the story of Carys and Evan to end even though I hoped they would get their HEA. Blue is written to show Carys’ and Evan’s POVs along with flashbacks to their past and how their friendship progressed into more. It also showed that Evan always put Carys first and denied his own wants and needs. He really did, and still does, love her.
S.M. West describes things beautifully and has you feeling the emotions that the characters are experiencing. She throws in a few plot twists that you have no clue are coming and takes her time to give you the answers you need. I expected this to be a typical romance story of guy returns to reclaim girl but it was so much more and I couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough to see what happened next. You also get hints of the close relationship between Carys’ brother, Rylan, and his wife Tate, which leaves you wanting to read Red, book 1, if you haven’t already. I haven’t read Rylan and Tate’s story but definitely plan on doing so.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book and all opinions are my own
Wow! Solid 4.5 stars for me.
I already loved Carys from Red and the little we got to know about Van (Evan) and her history had me intrigued. This is the kind of action packed story where you are trying to read faster to find out what happens next. I don’t usually read mafia books but this one definitely held my attention.
Carys and Van together are sooo perfect. Years apart mean there’s truths to be told and trust to rebuild but their love story is epic. I can’t say a lot without ruining the story for others but I will say it is an adrenaline filled story, with plenty of plot twists. You need to make sure you have some tissues handy and probably a fan cause some scenes are seriously hot. Looking forward to Coop’s story next.
Fallen Night (New York Knights #2) is so exciting and thrilling!
Carys and Evan’s story is packed with twists and turns, plus plenty of danger that had me hooked from the start. It’s a hot and sexy, second chance romantic suspense with fantastic characters and a gripping storyline. I loved it and highly recommend it!
Another action packed story. This is the second book in this series. I was surprised at the angle this story took. I did not anticipate the search and where it would lead Van. Van and Carys are the romance portion but the main story is so much more complex than just a second chance romance. It’s years old but the past is coming back. Will Evan, Carys and the group make it through?
I loved getting to know the elusive Van mentioned in Reckless Night (book 1). He desperately wants back in this family mold he destroyed when he left. Carys loved Van her whole life. They had a future planned. But he left and now he is back she isn’t sure she can forgive him.
This story gets us involved with Van’s business. That means we get more time with men we know Coop, Tripp and Rylan. Yesss! There are also a few new characters. I love the camaraderie they have. I can’t wait to learn more about them.
Also i want to mention Carys mother. She is so supportive and when she greeted Evan for the first time it brought tears to my eyes. That is exactly how any child would want to be greeted by their mom. Loved it!
This author has done it again. While this is a shorter book it doesn’t lack action, drama or suspense. It’s loaded with it. I love getting to know this group better with each book. I think I know who is next…Coop is one.
I did listen to this on audio. Jason Clarke and Noelle Bridges are the narrators. I have listened to Mr Clark numerous times. I think I could listen to him all day. This is a first time for me with Noelle Bridges. I liked her voice. She did a good job with the different characters.
