“Do you think you’re the only woman in this room that loves the pain?”
Sydney isn’t one to go around directing the doms she plays with. If they don’t know how hard and how long to go, she walks. Voicing her desires isn’t even an option. As an assistant DA she’s used to asking questions, not answering them.Tate knows exactly what Sydney is after, how far she could go before she finds that sweet … Sydney is after, how far she could go before she finds that sweet oblivion submissives find beneath his flogger. But he’s not giving it to her until she can ask for it. He sees the fire burning in her and will try everything to show her how to let it burn wild.
One snag, there’s a murderer in town and it’s their job to make sure they get the right guy and keep him behind bars. But when the case starts to hit a little too close to home can Tate and Sydney work side by side without losing each other in the fray?

Part way through I thought I had a handle on what this story was going to mean to me, but then some of the focus shifted and I’m not sure that my initial reaction quite covers it anymore. My first thoughts were that this was a story about learning to be strong enough to ask for what you want and need. (A lesson I’m still trying to absorb.) However, as the relationship between Tate and Sydney took a bit of a backseat to the murder investigation, I realized that trust and honesty became more important lessons. I loved watching this pair work through their issues to come out stronger on the other side. I never want to see the Black Light universe end.
Black Light: Cuffes by Measha Stone
Hot, hot, hot! This entire series is D/s dream romance with steam on steriods. Cuffed has the reality factor, character growth and conflict that takes us to a happy and aroused state. Serious impact play with a sub that has difficulty admitting her needs. A dominant who is sure, sexy, protective and driven while pushing her to face her truth. A couple on the right side of the law with a happy ending and plenty to envision. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and then some
I have been reading Measha Stone for a while now, finding her first through her wonderful Ever After series. This is a Black Light book, a world of strong, kinky doms and beautiful subs. The stories in this sexy series are always entertaining.
This is the story of Sydney, an Assistant District Attorney, and Tate, a police detective, both working on an unsolved murder case, possibly a serial killer who appears to be murdering subs from the local clubs. It is also a story of two people drawn to each other out of mutual interest and need and the struggles they encounter when starting a serious D/s relationship.
Like I said, I’ve been reading Measha for a while now. When I see that she’s the author of a book, I pick it up because I know she’s going to deliver a good story and a fun adventure. And she more than succeeded in that with this book. Highly recommended.
Measha does it again with this great read. I loved the chemistry between Tate and Sydney and devoured this book. This book is part of the Black Light series and just as awesome.
I am such a fan of the Black Light Series. Cuffed is another great addition! I admit, at first I could not remember who Sydney and Tate were? As I read through the first chapter, I began to remembered them from Valentine’s Roulette, and I devoured this book. I loved Sydney and Tate’s story. You can feel their chemistry and their strong connection. It’s those emotions that will ultimately allow them to finally find a happily ever after, or will leave them devastated and heartbroken. Love is a tricky thing when you are haunted by ghosts.
On a side note: I loved the way Tate’s character is depicted: strong (in a take no BS kind of way), understanding, patient, caring and loving.
Sydney is a sub in desperate want of a Dom who can give her what she needs. As an assistant district attorneys, she needs some stress release from her high-powered job. She finds Tate, a detective, at The Black Light, and while he might be a good partner for her, they realise they will be working a case together. This story was a great blend of the start of a BDSM relationship, interspersed with their work of solving two murders. I liked Sydney’s stubbornness, and refusal to accept the obvious. I enjoyed watching Tate work hard to give Sydney what she needed, and his patience in helping her become a stronger person, not just a better sub. This story was well-written and paced, and absolutely engaging, both in terms of the BDSM and mystery aspects.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
Great suspenseful story of Sydney, assistant DA, and Tate, detective. They are assigned a case regarding 2 murdered girls. Their professional relationship soon turns physical, hot and steamy. As they work to solve the murders, Tate tries to take control of the relationship with Sydney fighting him at every turn. Will she learn to trust him, let go of her fears and let love take control? Read on….
I absolutely loved this book! The Black Light Series is one of my favorites and I love how different authors contribute to it. This story revolves around Sydney, a DA who is looking for the right Dominant for her but thinks she’ll never find him. Then Tate comes along and blows her doors in. While he is everything she is looking for, she is afraid to show him her real side. The chemistry between these too is sizzling and I rooted for them throughout this entire book. And the way this author describes the characters, you can actually see them in your mind. This book is a definite must read. I truly enjoyed it!
The Black Light Series is full of great books and this one is no different. Along with the allure of the Black Light Club is a mystery that shows the potential downside, an inexperienced Dom with a fragile ego and megalomaniac tendencies. Sydney, an assistant D.A. and submissive and Dylan, the Dom detective, make a formidable team both as a couple and as partners. Along with working a case they also work to establish a relationship and Dylan is a master at having Sydney reveal her true needs.
A mystery and a love story all with the backdrop of Black Light, what more could a reader want.
Another wonderful BDSM read.
I am loving this Black Light series. This story has everything you could want from action, murder, and lots of great sex. This is a fast moving story and will keep you on the edge of your seat and also guessing who did it. Enjoy.
I love the romantic suspense to this book. It had an excellent story line to it that kept me guessing on who committed the murders. However, while that part was excellent it’s almost like that took most of the focus off the relationship dynamics between the two main characters. I also had a hard time with Sydney. She was a bit on the immature side even though I realize her reactions had more to do with her history it was a bit disappointing. It’s still a solid read that I’d recommend just not as good as I think it could be.
The latest book in the Black Light series. I am a fan of the series and I love Measha Stones previous books, so I was really looking forward to his book. And I was not disappointed; this a is a wonderful well written addition to his series. This is the story of Tate and Sidney, but we get little glimpse of some of the other characters in the other books in this series. It can be read as a stand alone, but you get the full experience if you have read the others.
What I love about Measha’s writing is that her characters are so complex and developed. She puts a lot of detail and thought into the motives of the characters and their relationship. It is beautiful to see how Tate helps Sidney admit and accept what she likes. There are wonderful emotional scene’s together and there is also a murder mystery to solve.
In other words I loved this book.
