It’s Valentine’s Day, but Macy Rodgers isn’t feeling the love. Aside from a torrid, one-night fling in a backseat a few months ago, her love life has been sorely lacking. Fortunately, she has devious friends who feel like playing Cupid. Wouldn’t they be shocked to learn that the match they’ve made for her is the same one that steamed up the back of that ‘69 GTO… Seth “Ghost” Warren has just … has just returned to town after an extended absence. Between his grandmother’s failing health, his job as a tattoo artist, his band’s gigs, and an ex that won’t leave him alone, he’s stretched thin. Cautious cowgirl Macy is the last thing he needs thrown into the mix.
She’s all country, he’s all heavy metal–and Macy knows that if anyone can propel her out of her rut, it’s Seth. But when their worlds collide, it’s anyone’s guess if they’ll survive with their hearts intact.

Good book
One of the best books i have read in a long time. Loved it. I didn’t want it to end
Leave Me Breathless is book 3 in the Ross Siblings series by Cherrie Lynn. The book focuses on the main characters of Seth ‘Ghost’ Warren and Macy Rodgers, two people who are completely different yet have an undeniable attraction. The story delves into the precious night of passion that the characters had with one another and how one night on Valentine’s Day becomes something more.
The story is filled with angst, tender moments and some very steamy scenes as these characters try and figure out their relationship with each other as well as trying to leave parts of their painful pasts behind. I really enjoyed reading about both of these characters. Macy comes across as really uptight but in all reality is just playing it safe after her accident. The same can be said for Ghost who seems to be juggling so much and doesn’t know what to focus on first.
The book is all about growth and we see that as we continue to read about the two main characters. I liked how Macy was honest about her preconceived notions regarding Ghost and Brian and that it was her own insecurities which made her really aloof. The fact that she comes to realise that she can still be herself in a work of Death Metal was reassuring for me as a character and that she stuck to what she wanted rather than being molded into something she wasn’t was also a positive.
Ghost’s character was also really well written. He is one of those strong characters that knows their own mind, even though sometimes he could overshadow his own happiness due to making others happy and not dealing with his past. I especially loved the banter that he had between himself and Brian and how their friendship just worked and came across as real.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, even the moments which made me feel really sad or frustrated with the characters as they did tend to make their relationship a little bit more complicated than it needed to be. The fact that Ghost also had a psych ex-girlfriend also added to the drama levels in this book. This is definitely one romance that you’re going to want to read!
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review; all opinions are my own.

Leave Me Breathless by Cherrie Lynn
Ross Siblings #3
Steamy New Adult novel with opposites attract theme. There are the expected ups and downs with the HFN/HEA for the two main characters at the end. At times I wanted to sit them down and talk to them, tell them to wise up and communicate, etc but all in all it was a good story.
What I liked:
* Seth “Ghost” Warren: the life of the party, a hunk and a half, hotness personified, talented tattoo artist, able to see through people…usually, hurt in the past, leery of relationships, excellent musician, balances Macy Rodgers.
* Macy Rodgers: a good friend, guarded, lonely, ex-barrel racer, helps with the family business, teaches horse riding lessons, feeling a bit at loose ends.
* That the Seth & Macy have great chemistry and act on it…often
* The desire on both characters’ parts to know more and help out
* Their friends
* The story of how Ghost got his nickname
* The growth of both characters
* Reading a new author
What I did not like:
* The exes of both Seth and Macy
* Little things I wished they could have avoided BUT in a story like this they are expected so…ah well
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Maybe
Note: I am not fond of NA/YA books as I have trouble relating to a lot of the plots and character issues (I am 68) so tend to avoid them. That said, I believe for those reading this genre it will be a hit.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the Copy ~ This is my honest review.
4 Stars
If you are looking for a rip roaring take your breath away sex this is most definitely the read for you. Unfortunately for me after the first part of the book where it really caught my attention and drew me in the story kinda went flat. I mean it wasn’t bad but it just got repetitive. It was hot and passionate something would happen and both of them would throw their walls up. Tons of inner dialogue and self reflection and introspection took me out of the story. To be honest it’s probably all me and just my thing because I am truly in the minority. It wasn’t bad writing and the editing was on point I just think this wasn’t my type of read. This is my first read with this author and I do own other books in the series so I will definitely try her again. I look forward to the next read and as for this one I will probably read it again later and see if I want to change this review.
