Lennon Barrick-St. James is making headlines as New York City’s hottest new socialite. Only she isn’t new at all. One well-intentioned night gone horribly wrong has landed the daughter of vice presidential candidate Christopher St. James on the front page of every newspaper and magazine in the country. Forced by her father to stay out of the limelight, Lennon flees to the quiet town of Heaven, … Heaven, Texas, where she vows to lie low and avoid men. Well, except for the sexy biker she just ran off the road—she definitely won’t be avoiding him.
Noah Cunningham already has one girl in his life, and he sure as hell doesn’t need another. Especially the beautiful and sinfully sweet angel that just descended upon the quiet little town he calls home.
The only problem is that the more time he spends with Lennon, the more he wants to be with her. And that’s just not going to work for Noah. He’s already been burned once, and he’s not so sure he’s ready to go down that road again.
Noah has spent the last five years putting his life back together after secrets and lies ripped it apart. So what will happen when he learns the truth about Lennon?

Fun banter, great chemistry, and a sexy single dad. And that’s just the beginning of The Truth About Lennon. Noah and Lennon are just so good together that you can’t help but root for them. They’re sweet and sexy and everything in between. We do, of course, have the required bit of angst, that bit of turmoil to test our couple. It’s not hard to figure out where that turmoil is going to come from, but that lack of surprise didn’t diminish my enjoyment of the story at all. The only thing I didn’t care for in the story was that pivotal moment, that turning point when one of them realizes they’ve made a mistake, that they’ve acted rashly. It wasn’t the moment itself, it was more the circumstances that brought about the realization. I’m trying not to give spoilers, so I’ll just say that it felt a little shallow for that character. And that brings me to one of the things I loved most about this story. KL Grayson gives us some beautifully drawn characters in this book. Both Lennon and Noah are wonderfully developed, and the story is thoroughly engaging from start to finish. There’s a kind of charm about the whole thing.
Then we come to the performance and make no mistake, it is a performance. Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross breathe life into these characters. Every emotion comes through in their voices, and before you know it, you’re completely lost in Noah and Lennon’s love story. There were a couple of points when the emotion is so strong that I was crying right along with the characters, and that’s not something I do often. I love what this duo brings to each and every conversation, and their voices suit these characters perfectly. Everything, from the witty banter to the steamy fun to the emotional misunderstandings, it’s all there in the performance. Kai Kennicott is great as Lennon. She brings out the frustration Lennon feels over her current situation as well as her nervousness about settling in Heaven, Texas. Then we have Wen Ross as Noah, and I’ll just say that I’m pretty sure if you look up sexy male voice, you’ll find a picture of Wen Ross. Holy moly, Noah is as sexy as sexy gets, and while Grayson’s writing goes a long way into creating this hot single dad, Wen Ross’ voice ramps it up a few notches more.
I really can’t say enough about this story or the performance. It’s all top-notch as far as I’m concerned, and I can’t wait to check out more books by KL Grayson as well as more of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. All three have fallen on my radar in a big way with The Truth About Lennon.
Omg! This was my first book by this author and it was so beautifully written. I was hooked from the beginning . I immediately fell in love with Lennon, Noah and Nova. Actually all the characters were amazing. Lennon hides a little secret from Noah about who she really is. Will it ruin their relationship or is their relationship strong enough to endure it and move on? Beautiful, steamy, amazing characters, wonderful story line. As always Kai & Wen did such a great job narrating and bringing not only the characters but, also the book to life. Looking forward to more books by this author.
The Truth about Lennon was a sweet single dad love story with a little angst towards the end, that held my interest throughout. I liked the characters, both Noah and Lennon were so perfect together. They had great chemistry, I liked how easy their relationship felt, and I loved how they met. The secondary characters greatly added to the story and provided support and balance to the main characters when needed.
The story had an almost insta-love feel to it and I enjoyed it. I would recommend this novel to all lovers of contemporary romances.
The audible version was narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. These two are without a doubt a fantastic duet narrating team. Their voices are clear and understandable and they infuse the right amount of emotion into the story. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.
The Truth About Lennon is a beautiful love story with a bit of angst. Secrets revealed splashdown on the narrative creating a mix of vibes. Character’s are compelling and loveable, except for Lennon’s mom. I adored Noah’s daughter Nova and Noah’s determination to put his daughter first and foremost above himself and others. The writing style is engaging.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross duet narration performance was perfect. I absolutely loved their performance together and the creative style of performing.
Overall a fun listen with a scrumptious narration.
This book had me laughing out loud so many times in the first 28% of the book. I loved the character interaction & the sarcasm. I appreciated that Author KL Grayson developed the relationship between Lennon and Noah before any intimacy took place. I enjoyed the wit and humor of the supporting characters. From a person that doesn’t cry and hasn’t cried in YEARS, I was shocked with myself when a tear was rolling down my check. This book is THAT GOOD! I was enjoying “The Truth About Lennon” so much that I was flipping those Kindle pages pretty quickly, but regretted that I did and it ended so soon! This book hits all the right romance buttons! It’s a definite TBR and reread book! Thank you KL Grayson for a wonderful romance story!
Lennon, the daughter of extremely wealthy and influential parents from New York, finds herself in a bad situation one evening, that was all over the news. To protect her family from negative and damaging press, she’s convinced to start over somewhere new. Lennon arrives in Heaven, Texas, a quiet town and a far cry from New York. She tries to reinvent herself and make a fresh start, when she accidentally meets Noah. Noah also has events from his past that he has fought hard to overcome and has moved on with his life. Lennon and Noah have both been hurt in the past, and neither one wants to get into a relationship. Their friendship starts out strained at best, but they come to realize that they like each other for the person they are, not who or where they came from. This book grabbed me from page one and I couldn’t put it down. I had to know how this story was going to end, and I was not disappointed. Every book by K.L. Grayson is phenomenal and I highly recommend this book and this author!
Lennon St. James and Noah Cunningham meet in a pretty unconventional way. I love a story that can make me laugh and swoon right from the start.
Lennon has been handed a bad deal. I love her spunkiness, sass and resilience. She’s fighting for her place in the world.
Noah doesn’t trust especially not women. He is moody and grumpy and downright mean at times but very sexy. His best quality is his devotion to his daughter, Nova. She is a cutie.
Charlotte is the best friend every woman needs. Mikey is the support every guy needs. It’s an added bonus when the side characters give more to the story.
With the right combination of words, the vulnerability is evident in both Lennon and Noah. Their attraction sizzles. The pace was easy and sweet. I was absolutely immersed in their story. The Truth About Lennon was a very enjoyable read.
Another wonderful story by Ms. Grayson! Both Lennon and Noah are great characters that make me cheer for their happy ending. Fairly well edited.
Lennon’s life is a circus. Her mother is a semi-retired A-list celebrity and her father is running for vice-president. Her ex-fiance was caught in bed with her best friend, and a year later he is still trying to smooth things over. In trying to get her back, he lands her in the middle of a very publicized scandal. Thanks a lot! So, Lennon heads to Heaven, Texas to escape the scrutiny and try to find a life of her own. Except just before she hits town, she literally runs into Noah Cunningham. And in trying to find information at the hospital, she claims to be Noah’s fiancee. Oh boy. Noah is a single dad and really isn’t crazy about some woman crashing into his life. After all, his daughter is priority number one. But sometimes, hearts don’t listen to logic. They just take a leap and fall into the deep end of love. Will Noah be willing to acknowledge the leap his heart took? Lennon is so happy to finally have someone like her for her, will she ever tell Noah the truth? And when the truth comes crashing into their lives, will Noah ever forgive her for holding back?
Both these characters are so very likable. Noah is a great single dad, a good son, and a caring friend. Lennon has had her entire life controlled, never being allowed to pursue her own dreams, and never knowing if people genuinely wanted to know her or just her connections and money. Both are wary of having their hearts broken. I have enjoyed reading so many of Ms. Grayson’s books, and this is no exception. Enjoy!
A sexy and flirty read with a dash of insta-love. Noah, such a hot guy, that has a big heart with a past that haunts him. Lennon, such a strong woman with a past she’s running from. I enjoyed this fun and heart melting read with a a smidgen of angst. Highly recommend this book.
