A fun, quick read – Storm Shift is the first in the Charming Shifter Mysteries series, complete with shifters, ghosts and even a vampire. After the recent untimely death of her grandparents, Chia finds herself the new town manager, dealing with grief, chasing a murderer and beginning to fall for a sexy new shifter from out of town. This book can be read as a standalone, but several threads of the storyline carry on to the next in the series, so one must read the whole series to get the full effect.
For honest review chia is now mayor and she lost her grandparents . Her and her husky shifter friend are hunting down a murder and meet hung a hybrid shifter and d’ranged a vampire. Awesome
This is the first in a new series by Calinda B. As I’ve mentioned previously, Calinda B has a marvelous writing style. She is a word wizard and her characters are always well developed, the story world realistic and every story draws you in. This one is a fast read that keeps you turning pages and wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next in this series and highly recommend it for fans of paranormal mystery with a touch of romance.

An amazing paranormal mystery. I really enjoyed it & finished it quickly. I highly recommend this book.
A fantastic read. Chias Grandparents are found in the lake with a boating accident, she knows there has to be more to it. She is know also the new town manager. If you love the Supernatural and fantasy and Epic battles this is definitely the read for you. Will she find a guy as well with all these guys shes meeting. This Author brings out the Characters so well, Chia has a great sense of humor. And you can pictire the scenes in the book as if you were right there. This is definitely a Fantastic read. There is never a dull moment. Once I started the read I couldn’t put it down.

This is a paranormal read that will grab you right away but hold on it is fast. Chia is a character that has the power to capture your attention and hold on to it as you follow her and become part of this. The elements in this give it the excitement with the drama as she wants answers. I liked the bit that she was the mayor too. There is also chemistry that simmers in this also. I know this author used this to suck me into this series. Know I need to find my way to the next one.
First let me say that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my feedback. I always leave an honest review.
With that said, on to the review; I loved this story. Chia seems like a normal young woman, but she’s got lots (and I mean lots), of spunk. She’s definitely a feisty, tiny female who you will love right away. She’s got a funny, horny best friend, a sheriff that’s really trying to guide her, but has no clue how, and lots of crazy psychos running around, & last but not least, a very hot bounty hunter to deal with. 🙂
This is a gr8 interesting mystery. I really recommend this read 5 Thumbs up. I can’t wait to read book 2.
I wonder what a town manager is.

This is the first book in The Charming Shifter Mysteries. This short novella is a great introduction to the series. The characters are well developed and intriguing. The storyline is original, filled with mystery, action, and adventure. Rinelle Harkin did a good job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Power Shift, the next book in the series.
Chia protects shifters just like her grandparents did. Chia is convinced her grandparents death was not an accident. Sprite-like Chia is stronger and more determined than anyone gives her credit for. She is tough as nails. This book is really funny at times and you will love Chia’s spunky attitude and her persistency. Great book.
This is an interesting start to the series; it kept me laughing and it kept me turning pages. The humor, by far, is my favorite part of this book. It appeals to my quirky, very off kilter sense of the absurd. My main complaint is that we don’t really get to know any of the characters. At the end of this book, I feel like I have so many questions left unanswered. It’s a good way to keep me intrigued to want to keep reading the series. But it’s also a fine line to dance with me; too many unanswered questions and I may not want to keep reading. Right now, I want to know more, and I want to know what other hijinks the shifters of Charming are going to get up to.
This was a fun read. I would love to read more about Ember and the town of Sanctuary.
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
Great story. Chia is a strong heroine. Her sidekicks (Cecil, Hung, and D’Raynged) each bring their own form of support to the story.
I was provided this book as an ARC by the author; however, the review is my honest opinion.
Storm Shift was a fun, quick read. There was an interesting cast of characters that ice in a small town in rural Alaska. Charming, AK is charming a song as you are a normal human. There us most definitely a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on all things “abnormal.
Chia seems abnormal though I am still trying to figure out how. I also look forward to seeing where the budding relationship between Chia & Hung goes.
A fun quick read, give it a try.
I read this book as an Advanced reader copy and now I am writing my honest review.
