Wow ! Another exciting read in this ongoing series we loved it from beginning to end.
The more I read from this author and this series the more I love the author works and her characters.
I love how she incorporated sex and the bsdm lifestyle with all her leading men.I just makes them even hotter than they already are.
I loved the main characters one broken and the other carry scars thinking he is not good enough for the women they love.
I found Steph to be a tortured soul, loving, sweet, smart sexy, brave had an awfully big heart and selfless above and beyond.I loved how she was willing to try being a submissive to a dominate which was extremely hard for her as she alway like being controlled.I loved how she was brave enough to explore her own sexuality. She was definitely my favorite character this time around.
Brody I found to be protective ,loving, dominate, sexy a bit dangerous but also one who loves with ones whole heart even if he thinks he needs to do it from afar.
The chemistry he had with Steph was amazing and made for some really hot and spicy sexual interludes. Two opposites that fit one another just what the other needs even when said parties are being stubborn.
I loved the story and the plot and the suspense as well as the emotional roller coaster these two characters had you on. Steph’s heartache definitely tug on the readers heartstrings. For me though the cast of characters like Taggart,Liam,Adam,Tucker,Charolette and so many more made this story humorous and so much exciting and even more enjoyable as they all play a main part in this current tale.
I loved when you read a story and you can relate to the characters that you read about and I was able to do that with this cast of characters.I found that I love them from the onset and could not wait to hear their story.
There was so many fun parts to the story but, on of my favorites is how the men described Steph’s current boyfriend .Omg ,those bunch of stinkers giving Brody a hard time and I liked seeing him squirm not that he didn’t deserve it.Way to funny !
(grins and chuckles)
Don’t you love it when the author makes you cry ? Well she did! The tears start flowing when Adam provided Brody with and audio file of deleted messages. The story had it all humor, laughs, sex and the bdsm lifesyle without over doing it,emotion and suspense and a great cast of characters and we love yet another tale in this ongoing series.
Personal note:One thing I should mention is that this author is fairly new to me and I keep adding more of this series to my kindle .I have been reading this series out of order.Do I think this series should be read from the beginning ? Yes !But, even if you decide to read them out of order you won’t be entirely lost. For me it just wants to make be start from the beginning even more.
I really love this series!
So looking forward to the next release.A recommend real to all
5 stars from us @angelswithattitudebookreviews
Another winner! Love it!
This series just keeps getting better and better; Lexi Blake does an incredible job of keeping the story flowing and interesting. There is so much emotions and
wit thanks to the ever lovable Ian along with our other favorites Liam and Avery. I can hardly wait for the next installment from the series.
Steph wanted to go to Brody with her problem, but he couldn’t bring himself to answer the phone when she called. Once Brody figured out that he truly LOVES Steph he had no problem with going to her and wanting to protect her from all danger and harm. Both Steph & Brody didn’t feel like they should be loved or cared for, but they would do anything to protect each other. But now they have a son to think about…
this is such a awesome & amazing story, can’t wait to see what happens next
I have read every book in the Masters and Mercenaries series by Lexi Blake – at least once. The MacKay-Taggart stories are addictive! And induce steamy dreams starring Big Tag and his cohorts. You will be rooting for Brody and Stephanie from the first sparks that fly between them, and have a hard time putting the book down! It’s definitely one that will have you sitting on the edge of your chair much of the time! Enjoy!
I enjoyed both books.
Surprises
This is a part of a series but can be read as a standalone, I still recommend reading in order for more enjoyment.
I love this series and this story was no exception. Suspense, love, action and lots of feelings.
The storyline progresses nicely to a happy ending.
I like to meet again characters from the other books and I’m engaged in the story from first chapter.
5 stars.
Loved it!
Love Another Day, Book 14 in the Masters and Mercenaries Series is just as brilliantly written, intriguing, fast paced, suspenseful and romantic as Book One, The Dom Who Loved Me. The only thing better about this book is that principals from preceeding book are onterwoven throughout the story. These characters are well known and loved. Lexi Blake/Masters and Mercenaries fans.
Brody is a warrior, a protector, a trained operative but feels inferior and unworthy of Stephanie’s love. Stephanie is a self sacrificing doctor who feels she will never be worthy of anyone’s love because of a tragic mistake in her past. After a year’s separation they come back together when Stephanie has to leave her clinic in Africa and run for her life. A truth is revealed and Brody does everything in his power to convince her that they belong together. An unexpected event brings clarity to both Steph and Brody and finally decide their love is worth fighting for.
We get to know one of the “lost boys” better in this book. Tucker is in turn, funny, naive and tragically sad from the damage inflicted on him by Dr Hope McDonald. Tucker’s childlike innocence and straightforward unvarnished honesty added so much to the story. Once again Ian Taggart’s antics and droll commentary provide comic relief.
Brody Carter believes that Stephanie Gibson is better off without him in her life. Even though they both care for each other. They think the other is better off without the other one. Stephanie finds out that she is pregnant with Brody baby. She calls and leaves Brody voicemail after voicemail and he never listen to them. One day Stephanie tries to save one guy and when he dies she is on the run for her life. Can Brody save her and will they get together. You will have to read to find out .I love this series
Could not put it down.
God I love this series. This is one emotional ride. I love a secret baby book and this knocks it out of the park. Technically it wasn’t a secret baby but with Brody being a butthead and not listening to voice mails that is exactly what happened. Add in Adam’s smartass ways and I was laughing. So crying and laughing and heart pounding suspense. Everything all rolled into one.
Never disappoints.
Good characters and plot!
To say that I loved this book is an understatement! I have been waiting for Stephanie and Brody’s story since Dominance Never Dies. Their relationships struggles are very easy to relate too, Stephanie dealing with the guilt of her past and Brody with his insecurities. I loved every minute of reading how their romance unfolded. This book will make you laugh out loud and cry. Lexi Blake has done it again, this page turner has twists, romance, action, humor and the McKay & Taggart family!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE anything Lexi writes & have her on my 1 click! Seriously she could write the phone book & make it sexy, witty and unable to put down until the last page.
compared to the balance of the series this story was the weakest.
I love this series. While this is not my favorite, it is still a great read. Brody is a great character that I have enjoyed over several books. Well worth the time to read this book.
3.5 stars– LOVE ANOTHER DAY is the fourteenth installment in Lexi Blake’s contemporary, adult MASTERS AND MERCENARIES erotic, romance series focusing on the men and women who work for the McKay-Taggart and Knight Security Agency. This is former SASR (Special Air Service Regiment –Australia) soldier and security specialist Brody Carter, and Dr. Stephanie Gibson’s story line. LOVE ANOTHER DAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous story lines is revealed where necessary although there are references to ongoing scenarios from previous investigations and the continuing fall out from a mission that saw the rescue of too many men whose minds and memories were wiped clean of their pasts.
NOTE: LOVE ANOTHER DAY contains sexually, graphic scenes of Domination and submission.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Stephanie and Brody) LOVE ANOTHER DAY follows the building but acrimonious relationship between former SASR soldier and security specialist Brody Carter, and Dr. Stephanie Gibson. Approximately one year earlier Brody was assigned security detail to Stephanie Gibson and her crew who worked and operated out of a medical clinic near Freetown Sierra Leone, South Africa. Stephanie’s attraction to Brody is immediate and palpable but our hero is reluctant to start anything knowing there time together is limited and coming to an end. One night together finds Brody walking away from the woman he will never forget. Fast forward to present day and Brody will come charging back into Stephanie’s life when our heroine is targeted for something she knows nothing about. What ensues is the rekindling relationship between Stephanie and Brody, no promises for the future, and Stephanie’s dogged determination to make reparations for sins of the past-reparations that place Stephanie in the direct line of fire on more than one occasion.
Dr. Stephanie Gibson suffers with survivor’s guilt; PTSD that pushes our heroine to risk her life without consideration of others or the people she leaves behind. A past shrouded in tragedy, Stephanie’s ongoing guilt and need to risk her life, placing herself in danger gets old, very fast. Our heroine tries to sacrifice herself (on multiple occasions) for the sake of others but a sacrifice that would destroy the man that she has grown to love. Brody Carter doesn’t do relationships; his line of work as a security specialist places him in dangerous situations and a relationship would only add further complications to a lifestyle rarely conducive to family and love but Stephanie Gibson keeps secret a very important part of her life-one that places Brody front and center, for now and into the future.
There is a very large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including security expert and former SASR solider Alfi Dauterre, Ian and Theo Taggart, and many of the previous story line couples, as well as Tucker and all of the ‘lost boys’ whose memories have been wiped by Dr. Hope McDonald. The requisite evil has many faces including several members of the Ukrainian mob.
LOVE ANOTHER DAY struggles with the ongoing self-sacrificing actions of our story line heroine. Stephanie’s need to ‘martyr’ herself for sins of the past was anything but heartbreaking as I endeavored to accept her actions as anything but a cry for attention. For me, the heroine’s continuous need to place herself in danger, risking not only her life but the life of those who had to constantly step in to search and rescue, made for too many anxious moments-moments I felt were unnecessary and over the top. In short, I had a difficult time sympathizing with Stephanie Gibson; her attitude and relentless efforts to get herself killed was disconcerting and disappointing. The premise was engaging but at times distressing; the characters were colorful and dynamic but the heroine’s actions affected my overall enjoyment.
