When she lands a job as an apprentice jockey at a racing stable, Bianca is determined not to let her Tourette’s Syndrome interfere with her dream career, and she does her best to conceal her occasional tics from her ridiculously handsome new boss. But Clay Lewis is not an easy man to fool. He soon discovers her secret, and when he casually mentions that she ought to be spanked for her deception … deception it sets Bianca’s heart racing like nothing ever has before.
Her crush on Clay grows stronger by the day, but while she strives to impress him at work Bianca struggles to deal with tragic circumstances in her own life. With her younger sister—and lifelong best friend—incapacitated by terminal cancer and becoming more and more dependent on her, she finds herself pushing herself to the point of skipping meals and going without sleep.
Clay can see the toll that stress is taking on Bianca, and when she collapses from exhaustion at the stable he knows it is time for him to step in, but not as a boss or as a boyfriend. What she needs is a loving daddy who will both comfort her when she is sad and bare her bottom and spank her like a naughty little girl when she doesn’t take care of herself properly.
Bianca delights in the attention she receives from Clay, and when he takes her in his arms and claims her as his own it brings her more pleasure than she would have ever thought possible, but she cannot help wondering if he will stay by her side even when her tics are at their worst. Can she truly trust Clay enough to surrender her heart to him and let her daddy take the reins?

I think so many people can find something in the story to sympathize with, and if you don’t you will be enlightened about other problems you might not have, such as Tourette’s Syndrome. Bianca, the heroine of this story, has this disease and many life sorrows to handle also. A difficult childhood, a sister who is dying, as well as other things. She gives of herself until she has no more to give. But Clay, her boss, who is also falling for her, isn’t happy that she wasn’t honest with him at first, which could be important information since she is an apprentice jockey. He also isn’t happy that she isn’t taking care of herself because she is so committed to taking care of her sister, and whatever else she can do. He steps in, not as her boss, and not even really as a boyfriend, but as the daddy she has always needed. It is an engrossing story that keeps you caring and involved.

I really liked this I just finished it. I could put it down though. I loved the interaction between Bea and all the brothers. It’s great their all spankos, they all smack her at some piont. You’d think their dad would have gotten into the act, been a grandpa too her. Usually the apples don’t fall far from the tree, but he’s mostly left out. When you do see him he seems like a cold fish. This was the first time I’ve read Kelly Dawson but it won’t be the last.
A sad story that end with a HEA! Una storia triste che finisce con un lieto fine!

This book is about the hard life of Bianca, a girl with the Tourette syndrome with a passion for horses, and Clay a dominant and hot cow-boy.
I think it’s strange and remarkable that the author would talk about the difficulties of life and the Tourette syndrome in a book that is all spanking scenes and dominant men.

I love a book that stays with you for a while. Some of the discipline books take the discipline too far. Loving discipline is so different. Some of us have challenges in our live but it seems that the heroine a really hard challenges. I had to finish this book when I started reading it. Couldn’t put it down. Great story.

NO DOUBT THE UNIVERSE IS UNFOLDING AS IT SHOULD…
Now and then you read a story that grabs hold of you and won’t let you go from the beginning to the end. Ms. Dawson has penned a story that is an emotional roller coaster ride and kept the pages turning. Reading this tale made me a voyeur in the lives of Bianca, her sister, Annie, their childhood and dreams, along with Clay and his family at the racing stables, and a horse named Rose.
Bianca has a dream and strong determination to make it happen. She has a unique, gifted way of working with horses, and her dream is to become a jockey. When she lands the position working at the stables, she does not disclose that she has Tourette’s because she does not use medication, her belief is that it will not interfere with her job. Now to prove herself to the owners and be allowed to work with the horses is the next challenge.
Clay Lewis is leery but agrees to allow her to continue working when he discovers her Tourette’s, and she proves she can do the job. Then when an abused horse is brought to the stables, and he witnesses that only Bianca can handle her, he gains respect for her determination.
The plot of the story is extremely emotional, with Annie dying of cancer, another Jockey consistently trying to sabotage Bianca, a Daddy Dom/little girl relationship, with Bianca dealing with her Tourette’s and everyday life. The story is so well told that I could feel the emotions, envision the sights and sounds, and felt physical pain with the intensity of what Bianca was experiencing. A broken and abused horse, a bullied and damaged girl, and a dream to be achieved. “The broken-down horse and the messed up rider, with all the odds stacked against them. Could they overcome them? Or were they stupid to even try?”
The story also is a love story between Clay and Biana, as he tries to take care of her, nurture her, and make her feel safe and loved. “Let me take care of you. You’re safe, I promise you. You wanted to be a little kid again, to have someone take care of you, to be claimed and punished. Well, I’m claiming you. I’m taking care of you. I’ll be your daddy; you’ll be my little girl. I will take care of you.” “He was the perfect daddy, she thought—kind, caring, gentle, assertive, and dominant, with just enough softness thrown into the mix.”
Kelly Dawson has put together an excellent DD/lg story for us. There is a lot of love, but there is also bumpy roads. While not everyone wants to read the bumpy parts, without them, you can’t get to the happiness in the book. You will see that in this book.
Bianca has Tourette’s Syndrome. She’s found that the best way she can handle it is to work with horses. She’s an apprentice jockey and has a great touch with horses. When she gets a job working at a prestigious trainer’s stables, she is really excited. She doesn’t tell them about her Tourette’s though. When Clay, the owner’s son, finds out, she begs him not to fire her, and tells him that she doesn’t have a lot of symptoms.
Clay isn’t sure about the newest hire until he sees her with an abused and neglected horse. She’s the only person who can get near the horse, and Bianca is able to help bring the horse back. But when all her work starts to pile up on her and cause problems, Clay decides that she needs a Daddy and he is just the man for the job.
I really enjoyed this one for so many reasons. One is that it’s a positive representation of a person with Tourette’s, which isn’t always shown, so I really liked that. I really liked the support that Bianca was given, overall. I did kind of what to smack Clay around a little bit at times, but he was able to pull his head out of where it was stuck. Overall, a truly enjoyable, light read and a great story.
Enjoyed reading this book, Bianca has a stressful life dealing with Tourette’s Syndrome and her sister Annie’s cancer. With the help of Clay and his brothers Luke and Cody, Bianca tries to live a simi-normal life taking care of the horses at the stables. The love scenes were a little intense. Annie’s prognosis was tear-jerking. Cried at the end.
