Really enjoyed this author’s engaging & entertaining writing style. Looking forward to reading more of her series.
The Boyfriend Agreement (St. Mary’s Academy #1) was a good read by Seven Steps. Bella French is a high school junior who has great grades and a non existent social calendar. Jake Winstead, the most popular guy in school, asks her to be his fake girlfriend and she said yes. But Jake’s twin brother is her arch nemesis, Cole Winstead. For two years, they have been at each other’s throats and now they’re paired up for a school project. She never thought that sparks would fly between them or that he would start to change his ways. Bella finds herself stuck between the two brothers. I loved reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.
Bella feels invisible. If she were pressed, she would probably say that only four people in her school even know that she exists. Unfortunately, one of those four people is Cole, the boy who is always picking on her and just might beat her out for Valedictorian.
Then, one day she has a chance to be seen, to be popular, but it comes with a price. As Bella begins to lose herself, Cole is there to remind her who she really is. Isn’t that sweet…annoying!
A great fairy tale with a modern twist and a coming of age lesson about self-acceptance.
This totally book totally brought back memories of high school of the popular crowd and just wanting to fit in. In some ways I could sympathize with Bella but there were times I just wanted to smack her. Some her choices were questionable at best.
She is a wallflower and she has great grades but no social life. Then he asks her to his pretend girlfriend and she does it. One problem is his twin who she hates. She ends up being paired with them for a project. Now she is torn. What is she going to do? How is she going to choose between them? See what she will do

This book made me laugh and cry a lot. It was a story full of passion, drama, romance, mystery and suspense with a mix of romance, intrigue and a bit of violence. Some parts were heartbreaking some just made me smile and some gave me hope that everything will be all right. It was hard to put it down and I was curious what’s next.
Bella finds out the cruelty of the world of popular kids from her school, she is lost and confused. She thinks it is better to be popular, to be someone she’s never been. Then she is conflicted with her true self and realises she doesn’t know any more whom she truly wants to be. And there is Cole who is there every step she takes to save her, to protect her and to show her his true feelings.
I really enjoyed reading this book, felt emotionally touched. For me it is book not only for teens and about high school drama. It is well written and the story line is very interesting with all the twists and unexpected events. I liked all characters, even the villain ones, they are all well developed and instantly we love them or hate them.
St. Mary’s Academy Series – I found this series of books on Booksprout.co. I read short stories by Seven before and even though I don’t care too much for this age group, I wanted to read her stories and found the series interesting. SS weaves stories that hold the reader’s attention. Her realistic and likable characters are in and out of stories since they’re all part of the Academy. The books are well written and interesting, considering the age group, and would make good reading for any age group. These mostly standalone books are best read in order, which I found out by reading a shorter one before a much longer story, but the reader isn’t lost if not read sequentially. 4*
The Beginning of Forever #0 – A well written, interesting but very short introduction to a young girl at her cousin’s senior year prom. She experiences several first. 4*
The Boyfriend Agreement #1 – A lengthy, but not wordy, book that is interesting, well written and quickly read. Not my favorite of the series. 3*
Chasing Mermaids #2 – This book should be read after The Boyfriend Agreement to get the full gist of this story. The main character wants one thing, her parents another and there’s more problems in her family and with her best friend and boyfriend. Like with most of the books in this series, there’s a range of emotions. 4*
The Golden Boy #3 – Another well written novella with interesting characters. The main character finds out about life, truth and consequences the hard way. The Golden Boy is almost too perfect and it’s nice to see such a good character. He is the opposite of her, but shows her how to improve herself. 4*
Stealing Hearts #4 – Well written, interesting with realistic, likable characters. She’s uptown and he’s from the other side of the tracks, but their story is full of learning about life and achievement. Be careful of what you ask for, easy is too much trouble. 4*
The Secret Lives of Princesses #5 – Another lengthy book who’s pages flew by quickly. Another well written, interesting addition to the series that immerses the reader. While the title has the word princess in it, the main character is realistic and likable, and has to decide whether to follow her parents’ wishes or her heart’s desire. If you liked Ariel’s story, you’ll like Jasmine’s. She has help from an unexpected source. 4*
Be Careful What You Ask For – You Just Might Get It!
This is a very good teen romance mixed with humor, crime and the woes of popularity. The plot is very interesting and well executed. The characters and their interactions seemed very realistic and true. There is a nice examination of the good and evil in people and the angst we all go through as we travel the teen years. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to share my honest review.
