I have a secret.A secret that chased me away from my home, my family, away from the only man I’ve ever loved.I took that secret and pushed it down inside of me. So far down, that it never had a chance of coming out. That dirty little secret was like a seed. A seed that took root and grew to become a piece of me.But what happens when that secret has finally outgrown me? When its vines climb over … me? When its vines climb over every wall I have in place? When it finally overfills that little spot inside of me that it’s been buried in for so long now?
All secrets come out eventually.
I just hope mine doesn’t destroy everyone I love.

Audiobook Version:
One of my favorite things to do is to go into a book blind. I started this book, knowing I was a fan of the author and narrator. They both blew me away! This book hooked me so fast, I literally could not put it down. You could feel the heat yet Lex fought and fought to keep her distance. Love will not be stopped! The writing, the characters, the amazing narration… I could not have asked for more. I couldn’t help but love these characters.
Sarah Puckett has outdone herself. This is maybe her best narration to date. I absolutely loved it!
AudiobookObsession
KB ANdrews did a brilliant job in writing this story. This had everything in it from love and all the family secrets which keeps you on your toes so you really aren’t sure what is about to happen. Of course I fell in love with Striker, the kid from the wrong side of the tracks who is an absolute gem and genuine. Lex is a girl struggling with who she really is and who her mom wants her to be. The secrets that are hidden over the years are perfectly revealed with just a little bite or two here and there and then at the end it all comes out. I found this book incredibly easy to listen to with the narrator doing an excellent job bringing both characters to life.
Audiobook Review:
A second chance romance with heaps of angst, lust and passion. Lex & Stryker’s character’s & narrative are bursting with chemistry, depth & vividly exemplified. I love the flashbacks of Lex & Stryker’s high school memories. Lies, secrets, unexpected twists ravelled into a candied sweet thrill.
My preference is duel narration, however Sarah Puckett narrates this story in a way that you don’t realize it’s just one narrator. Sarah has the ability to transcend into divergent voices of female and male characters. I’ve listened to another audiobook by this narrator and she is fabulous at switching voices to reflect variant ones.
4 Star Review Losing A Piece Of Me by KB Andrews
Both KB Andrews and narrator Sara Puckett were new to me. What a heart wrenching story Losing A Piece Of Me is.
This was an emotional roller coaster of a story and Sarah Puckett did an amazing job with her narration. This is a book full of pain and angst and was well written and the performance certainly did the words justice.
Lex and Striker promised each other forever years ago, but it was not meant to be. When Lex leaves Striker and her home, he is devastated; fast forward 6 years and Lex has finally returned home and Striker wants answers.
Neither Lex or Striker have ever wavered in their love for one another and it is perhaps just that which made it so frustrating in the length of time it took them to come together again. I was also a little confused at times as to what was in the past and the present but I did find the story to be realistic and easy to relate too..
Will the secrets Lex is hiding be revealed and what will it cost her and those around her?
Sometimes a secret can change everything… and I do mean everything. It was a secret so big, Lex was forced to leave everything behind… Striker included. Forced to return for her sister’s wedding, Lex comes face to face with Striker and is looking for answers. He’s waited 6 years for this moment. Will Striker be able to handle what he hears, or will he turn Lex away forever?
Oh. My. Word! This tore me apart. The strength Lex exhibits was astounding. There was more to this secret and Lex than what meets the eye. Striker is a character that is easy to fall in love with. He gives you just enough “bad boy” vibes, but also has a heart of gold. This story was told from dual POV and it was lovely. Sarah Puckett’s narration was spot on with giving each character their own personality. The one complaint I have is it was difficult to tell when the characters were having a memory. This happened quite a bit, but I didn’t realize it was a memory until Lex or Striker were almost done reliving the memory. It probably reads better in print. I will say it didn’t stop me from enjoying the story.
Audiobook Review:
The narrator really brought this author’s well written book to life.
I enjoyed this book so, so much. The narrator really does this author’s book justice. The characters and their story, their journey, their love, their pain…It was all brought to life. The reason I have given this four stars is because towards the end I felt it dragged on a little and it didn’t quite hold my attention other than that this book was amazing to listen to.
Andrews and Puckett are a lethal combination. Andrews composes the words and Puckett claps back with heartbreaking emotion. Losing a Piece of Me is a heartbreaking tale of broken trust and shattered dreams. Lex and Striker are two halves of a whole, working their way back to what they used to be. Andrews uses her gift of writing to give a voice to the innocent and fearful voices that are consistently ignored and the fearless warriors determined to never be forgotten. Puckett proves a vital instrument for a haunting tale as courageous as it is relevant.
