She has no way of knowing her college sweetheart is headed to the same cabin in the Rockies, terrified and gravely … the Rockies, terrified and gravely wounded. Their unexpected reunion couldn’t have come at a worse time. Or could it? Bewildered that God would allow Michael Dean to walk back into her life, Annie pleads with Him to keep her heart true to her husband and her family. God answers her prayer, but in a way she would never expect.
Written by a former pastor’s wife, Annie’s story provides a rare look inside the family life of those in the ministry, particularly the unique pressures on those who marry men of God.

It was slow to get some excitement going but became a page turner toward the end.
I love a book with twists and turns. I didn’t see the end coming. I loved the reminder that all things work together for good when we are obedient to God. This was definitely uplifting and a real page Turner. I couldn’t put it down.
Loved the story. My father-in-law is a pastor, so I see the expectations/demands on both him and my mother-in-law. This was a great read.
Nice Inspirational book; wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Ending is good!
Kept me engaged and I really liked the characters.
Good view of what pastors and their families live with.
Enjoyed the book, inspirational….reminded us everyone can have faults.
The story line in this book keeps you wanting to turn another page. Right until the end of the book, you are wondering how this can possibly have a “happy ending”
The pastor’s wife is so real it hurts. Like many of us, she battles doubts and depression.
Oh my goodness! When I saw this book as a special on BookBub, I wasn’t sure, the description didn’t sound like a book I wanted to read. I love historical fiction, and Christian fiction but am very careful to choose books that don’t give false religious teachings or poor theology. I read some reviews and decided to give it a try. I am SO GLAD I …
This book full of believable characters clearly shares the stresses that are often normal for a pastoral family. But it also shows individual failure and God’s forgiveness. Excellent read for enjoyment, challenge and inspiration.
Too many impossibe situations but good read
Great read, very talented author
This was an easy read. The plot was well thought out…but I never saw the end coming…and I pride myself on out thinking the author.
The one thing that I didn’t like was the over use of the statement ” he reached up and put a stray hair back ” or any other way hat could say the same thought.
I very much enjoyed The Runaway Pastor’s Wife; it was totally different from what I expected. The characters were believable, and the plot was intricate. It is comforting to know that God often gives second chances to people who need to make changes in their lives. It is also good to be reminded that evil does not go forever unnoticed or …
The characters are going through real life struggles, being pulled away from their personal and family needs to meet the needs of others. The families doubts and fears are very real and complicated. I liked the fact that the full plan of salvation was given. The parts two concern is for each other an especially for their children.
An enjoyable …
It was hard to put this book down.
