A Worthy Christmas Read All Year Long!
Like North Pole, Alaska; Santa Claus, Indiana; Christmas, Michigan; Bethlehem, Pennsylvania—to cite a few towns that roll out the red-and-green carpet to visitors throughout the year, A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE IN JULY takes place in Christmas Town. Downtown, you’ll find The Christmas Store where Charlotte Rose stands behind the counter preoccupied with inspecting tiny glass figurines for damage. Jack, an unsentimental Christmas cynic, narrates the story.
Oh, Jack has a last name, but I’m not going to tell you what it is. Nor am I going to tell you why he’s in Christmas Town inside The Christmas Store about to initiate conversation with Charlotte Rose either, with the exception of divulging what he thought of her sweater. “A blue, red and green sweater, you know the kind that looks like your grandmother knitted it, and get this, there’s an actual huge snowman displayed across the front. Sick, I tell you, sick!”
Jack will tell you everything you’re dying to find out on a need-to-know basis, and not before! In fact, Jack’s deadpan delivery reminds me of Jack Webb in the role of Sergeant Joe Friday, the fictional detective in the ‘Dragnet’ series. Enough said! More than enough reasons for me to love this story
I won’t even provide the slightest clue as to the ending of a most worthy read any time of the year because I don’t want to tip the scale toward its conclusion. I’d love to see this story made into a film for the Hallmark Channel.
Christmas Miracle in July is the first book in The Christmas Miracle Series and is a sweet holiday story. The characters are interesting and the storyline is well written. This is the perfect short story to put you in the holiday mood.

Jack is a P. I. on an assignment to find information about Charlotte from Christmas Town. He finds out more about Charlotte as a person during dinner and grows to like her. However, his client is demanding and Jack knows he must tell the whole truth. Christmas Miracle in July is an entertaining story I enjoyed.

This was a great little small-town romance it had good believable and likable characters and I thought it was a really enjoyable read I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series
An enjoyable quick read about a small town romance. It is a feel-good story but saved from being too saccharine by believable characters and situations.
It does need to be read in conjunction with the other books in the series.
The Christmas Miracle Series
The Christmas Miracle Series are a group of short stories concerning a man discovering love and his adaption to the changes that love brings to his life. The stories are interesting and quickly read, although I would have preferred a complete book. On Easter has a cliffhanger ending, but by this book’s release, the reader knows there’s more to the story yet to come. I contacted the author to review her books.
Christmas Miracle In July #1 – An interesting little story set in Christmas Town. I didn’t know what the story was about, but it drew me in and kept me interested until the end. I liked the characters and the reason for the story. This author hasn’t disappointed me with any of her books.
Christmas Miracle On Valentine’s Day #2 – This story continues where In July ended. The story continues with Jack’s acceptance to the changes in his life. The characters grow and the plot is interesting and has a lot of humor in it.
Christmas Miracle On Easter #3 – Oh, no. It’s not exactly a cliffhanger, but it is; there’s more to the story. This story continues where On Valentine’s Day ended. Jack is still growing and accepting all the changes still coming with open arms; even the yucky ones. More of the characters are involved with their lives adding to Jack’s.
Christmas Miracle On Memorial Day #4 – A lovely “ending” to CMOEaster. A beautiful wedding and forgiveness and a sad surprise, but a heartwarming, well-written story told from Jack’s point of view. A nice book to read during a coffee break or a relaxing break.
Christmas Miracle on the Fourth of July #5 – Begins one year after he first arrived in Christmas Town and picks up in July, after the Memorial Day wedding, with preparations for the Fourth. The characters are still interesting, along with the storylines. There may be a bit of intrigue in the future for the P.I. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Christmas Miracle on Halloween #6 – The intrigue is now an investigation into a car accident possibly being a murder. Another quickly read, interesting story that follows his discoveries of the seasonal traditions, this time Halloween, and the characters that make Christmas Town special. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Christmas Miracle on Thanksgiving #7 – This picks up the week before Thanksgiving and remains a quickly read, interesting story with good, likeable characters. The woes that began at Halloween between him and her reach breakup and he tries to win her back. I contacted the author to review her books. She cleans up some of the previous storylines for her part. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Christmas Miracle on Christmas Day #8 – This pickups on Christmas Day. There’s a kink to the day and she gets her tail over her shoulder. All the storylines are finished and so ends the journey of Jack and Charlotte. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
The Christmas Miracle Series end.
This was a quick and sweet Christmas short story. The characters are great, there was just enough drama and a happy ending.

This story provides a lovely diversion from a busy day or week by drawing the reader into the fictional world of Christmas Town, where the spirit of the festive season lingers all year round. Each is short enough to read in one sitting, but long enough to conveniently put down at the end of a chapter and resume reading later.
The main character, Jack, is well developed and quite likeable. The air of mystery that surrounds his arrival in town over summer is intriguing, and definitely hooks the reader into the story. Gauthier plays on the unresolved questions he brings with him, drawing the reader further into the story at the same time as further entangling Jack with every development and surprise in the plot.
Other characters are less thoroughly developed, as is completely normal for short stories. One does sense, though, that there are more stories to be told in Christmas Town, and that Charlotte and Christian may feature prominently in those, too. This reader certainly hopes so!
A nice short romance. Great if you have to kill half an hour in a waiting room and need a little Christmas spirit.
The story is written in the first person and unfortunately I couldn’t connect with the main character at all.
Good writing style but not my cup of tea….
