Paige is having to adjust to her new normal & when she gets called in to assist on an obvious demon case, all hell breaks loose. In the process of protecting the town & it’s residents she breaks rules she never knew. Things are changing & Paige & Dex have more obstacles to overcome, never a dull moment for the Whiskey’s.
Didn’t enjoy this. Too dark without relief and somewhat confusing. Don’t know why I finished it.
Book two is every bit as good one! Paige is back and so are the demons as well as as whole host of other paranormal beings! This urban fantasy is addictive as we follow Paige on her journey and she is kick ass and full of sass and snark. The story continues to grow as does the character development and I am so looking for ward to reading book 3!
The action from book 1 continues in this book although at a slightly slower speed. The history of the main characters becomes more relevant as the main characters move further into the new world that they stumbled into in book 1. This book feels less put together than book 1, but that is to be expected in a book that bridges the previous book to the following book. It is still a great read and drags me into Paige’s very busy life.

I have REALLY got to stop starting series with the second book! This PG13 tale of paranormals took me two days to read and kept me up WAY past my bedtime.

This was a great story. It was well written and fast paced. The chemistry between the characters was sizzling hot. This book has everything you need to keep you turning pages hot sexy men, steamy scenes and some conflict thrown in. I cannot wait for what this author writes next.

Dexx and Detective Paige Whiskey are back in Denver after solving multiple murders in Louisiana. This is an intriguing story full of shifters, witches, demons, vampires, ghosts, angels, murder, mystery, family drama and humor. The characters are interesting and I like that we get to find out more about Paige’s special abilities while she investigates the next case. I can’t wait to read more about Detective Paige Whiskey.
Once again Paige is drawn into trouble in the supernatural world. This time it involves murder, shifters, demons and of course Dexx. I love this entire group of books in the Whiskey Universe. Each book, while a stand alone builds on the previous stories. There are twists and turns galore, murder mysteries and Paige trying to figure out the supernatural consequences as she tries to do her job as a police officer.I can’t put these books down. The characters are incredible. The stories are fast paced, evocative and thoroughly enjoyable. Another winner for me.

S.M. Blooding has brought us another great Whiskey Witches book! Book two picks up at Paige’s return to Denver, after the world fell beneath her feet in Louisiana.
I honestly think for a deeper understanding you should definitely go back and read the first in the series to have a better understanding.
The paranormal world to Paige is growing, and she really learns how to work with her gifts, after being closed off for so long. How can you go wrong with a Demon Summoner, Demon Hunter, a Vampire, Shifters, and a guy who sees dead people?
If you loved books like the Hollows series by Kim Harrison, this is hands down a series for you to fall in love with.
there is plenty of magic and mystery in this installment of the whiskey witches, with Dexx and Paige on a new case that leads them to the discovery of Vampire and Shifters..

On the trail of Sven Seven Tails the demon who Paige believes is behind all the commotion, murders, and mayhem in Louisiana and now where she lives, the story continues. Throughout the action-packed book, Paige receives more pieces of the puzzle to solve. More powerful demons are at play, new paranormal arrive on the scene and she discovers Nederland. Her partner Tony is a vampire, Jack is a reaper, Dexx gets bitten by an alpha shifter and now house his personal animal shifter. And less we forget…Paige continues to grow stronger by gaining more abilities! Her family needs her back in Texas is the one consistent message she receives from everyone around! She discovers her deep deep love for Dexx and as she shuts the doors on the latest in a long line of cases…she will now have no choice but to head home after receiving her walking papers from her boss~ This book is just as fantastic as the first and I am going on to the next in the series! Whiskey Witches Origins:
S M Blooding, The Demon Whiskey – Has an overview, which I appreciate knowing what the book is about before reading it. Although I was disappointed with the last part of Whiskey Witches, I decided to read TDW. This book can be read after or before WW, without any spoilers. Well written, with realistic dialog and an interesting plot. By realistic, I don’t mean vulgar language, since nowadays that’s considered the real way to talk. This book is heavy with vulgar language, which I found distracting in both books, and caused me to start skimming after a few chapters. But at least the English out weights the profanity. The author and I butted heads, and while we agreed to disagree, we found we had similar backgrounds. I found Blooding a nice and funny lady through our emails. Minor editing needed. I contacted the author to review her books after reading Whiskey Witches. 4*
S M Blooding, Whiskey Witches #1 – Intense. This well written, interesting story hits the floor running and doesn’t stop until the last quarter of the story. The characters are believable and the twisting plot keeps the reader immersed in reading until the last 25%. The book then got boring and silly in places. Unfortunately, WW is heavy with vulgar language, which distracted me in places. I do credit the author with some restraint, since there could have been more profanity. Minor editing needed. This is my first book by this author and I will be reading The Demon Whiskey. 4*
S M Blooding, Blood Moon Magick #2 – The stories keep getting better. Another well written, intriguing, fast paced book. The suspense filled storylines keep the reader immersed in the pages, making it hard to put the book down. The characters grow more with each story and the new characters are just as interesting. Ms. Blooding does an excellent job with her vivid descriptions and action scenes; you’re actually there with the characters. Kinda hard when you’ve got a good imagination and everything is clear; makes ya lazy. More paranormals add to the mix, adding a good depth to the series. Needs editing. 4*
S M Blooding, Barrel of Whiskey #3 – I know why I love this series, the Whiskeys reside in Texas. Not really, it helps, but the author does a great job with her well written storylines and interesting characters. The plot rides like a rollercoaster out of control; the pace is fast and there’s nonstop action. The characters, good and bad, make this, amongst other things, a difficult book to put down. Vivid descriptions are the norm for this author. Needs editing. 4*
S M Blooding, Witches of the West #4 -I love that I got to chain read the last three books. I never got tired of the well written, intriguing storylines; the interesting characters; and the fast paced action. Ms. Blooding is an artist with her vivid descriptions and rollercoaster plots, which make her books difficult to put down. Read them in order for the best entertainment. Needs editing. 4*
Whiskey Witches Origins End.
Paige and Dex go back to Denver and find out all isn’t all it seems. Her partner Tony and FBI Agent Jack join in too. There are other paranormals disappearing and Sven makes another appearance. I love this story and the continuing of Paige’s story. I love all the characters. I just wished I loved the narrator on this audio book but I don’t and that is the only reason this book is not getting five stars. I would suggest reading instead of listening to get the full enjoyment of this book. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure Paige takes us on.
