A bounty hunter’s partners to lovers’ story. The hunt is on… and he’s the prey.Bradford (Ford) King was sure he had the rest of his life mapped out. Though he was no longer a SEAL Lieutenant, his brother was home safe and he had a job that still allowed him to satisfy his hunger for hunting bad guys. Life was simple, no distractions or complications – at age forty-six – that’s all Ford wanted. … that’s all Ford wanted. What he didn’t want was his work partner, sniper/watchman, Dana, giving him s**t all the time.
Dana Cadby had grown up labeled a roughneck from the wrong side of the tracks. He’d fought, scrounged, and survived despite a father that constantly told him he couldn’t. Dana pulled himself up by his own boot straps and made a name for himself in the marksman community. He’d been Duke’s bounty watchman for five years. It was his job to ensure their safety, watch their backs. At thirty-three, he was trusted, well respected by his peers, his bosses, his friends… so why couldn’t he earn the same respect from his partner?
Dana knew he was bisexual before he graduated high school. He also knew he was attracted to the huge, 6’3”, SEAL from the moment he and his brother came to join their team. It wasn’t easy for him to tamp down his immediate reaction to Ford’s thick muscles, full beard, and dark eyes. Still, Dana exhibited nothing but professionalism towards him, not wanting to make his ‘straight’ partner uncomfortable.
After Dana took back his ex-girlfriend, he’d noticed an intensification in Ford’s bad attitude. One that turned aggressive and downright antagonistic, and Dana was damned if he’d just lay down and take it. He was gonna make that man respect him if it was the last thing he did.
When Duke sends Dana and Ford out to track down their most dangerous bounty yet, they both embrace the fact that they make one hell of a team… but they fight tooth and nail against the powerful intimacy brewing between them.
Beware: When Ford and Dana connect, no fugitive can hide from the hunter and his watchman.
This story is a part of a series but can stand alone. It does not end on a cliffhanger and has a HEA.

STUBBORN MEETS CLUELESS
Ford King is partnered with Dana Cadby and works for Duke Morgan. Ford is older than Dana and Dana is a serially abused dater. I wasn’t sure how the story was going to go with ford biting Dana’s head off at every turn. Their backgrounds showed how well they adapted and how they developed their personalities. The sad part was Ford being unable to express his feelings properly with Dana.
**********Contains Spoilers**********
I really liked this book but the couple seemed to be at odds for a lot of the book before they sorted out that they like each other and should give it a go. Man Dana put up with a lot from his ex-girlfriend who would treat him like he’s completely beneath her just because her family is rich, she won’t even touch him without him showering and brushing his teeth. Dana and Ford seemed to be fantastic together once they finally clicked. I’m looking forward to seeing what Ford’s surprise is for Dana. I liked that even though Dana was badly hurt, Ford was extremely upset but he didn’t try and coddle him too much while he’s recovering. He respects, values, trusts & loves having Dana at his back protecting him so he’d never ask him to cut down Bounty Hunting or quit, as then he wouldn’t be the man that he loves. I loved the interactions between Ford & and his brother Brian and Dana & Brian’s friendship. I just love Brian and can’t wait to read his and Sway’s story, as with all the hurt and trauma he was subjected too he totally deserves love, plus the way they first met was really hot. I’d recommend this book, series & author to everyone.
Audiobook review:
Story – 4
Narration – 5
Another good audiobook from A.E. Via and Aiden Snow.
While I’ve enjoyed the books in this series, I have to say that it’s Aiden Snow’s narration of them that keeps me coming back for more. His voice is just so soothing and calming – even during the tense parts of the story.
Dana and Ford are great together and they have lots of hot, sexy time together. When Dana gets hurt Ford takes great care of him. While I enjoyed this book, the teasers for Brian’s story in the last couple of chapters have left me in a state of anticipation for his and Sway’s story.
A copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Surprisingly sweet, unsurprisingly hawt!!
I love AE’s engaging Alpha males! So hot, a little broken, with hearts of gold and filled with love. AE manages to balance gruff and tough with gentle and sweet.
I was curious about Dana from the start and thought there was more to the spry and talented man. I loved the hints of the next love connection made in each book and I loved the hints of Ford’s feelings for Dana and his sass. Ford had been a ‘blank’ space up until now. I really enjoyed his story and getting to know more about the King brothers. I liked that Ford’s oversensitiveness extended to Dana even before he could admit feelings and continued after they were together, much to Dana’s grumblings.
I felt like these two were well matched and while their story had a little back and forth I liked that Ford jumped in with both feet once he admitted his feelings.
Now, I must admit I’ve been looking forward to Brian’s story from his first introduction. I love his presence and am intrigued by his past and mutism. I can’t wait for his story next and loved that it’ll be with Sway!!

Oh God, I loved this book, it was SO worth the wait.
This book is just a smooth ride from start to finish, A typical A.E. Via book all the way!
Brian and Sway, seems to be next in the series and it can only be good! SO DAMN CUTE!
I really liked the story of Ford and Dana. It was a little slow, but worth the wait in
the end.
